Summit 208. Walk to Eagle Lodge!
average rating of 3.5 based on 4 reviews

Very nice place!

  • 5 of 5

Walked in surprised at how nice it was inside. Had all accommodations available. Extra linens, wood for fire place and a dish washer even. The balcony was nice as well to sit out and watch the snow fall. Only issue was it was very hard to find and I was not sent a map or an exact address. I was given a paper map to follow without an address. there was also no parking spot for my room in the garage. Would recommend and stay again though.

Not too bad but needs some attention

  • 2 of 5

Overall we enjoyed our trip. We're avid mammoth visitors & have always loved the eagle lodge for our entry into the mountain. The condo is the farthest from eagle in the Summit complex but is walkable. Inside the unit was nice. Large enough for our family but here is where they fell short. Here is a check list if issues which we noticed. It appeared the unit hadn’t been used till before daylight savings as the clock was still set an hour ahead. Second on the list was the shower./bathroom. When taking a shower we noticed the shower head had tons of calcium deposits which made the stream uneven and sprayed everywhere. It appeared the shower head was at least 15 years old & no one had done any maintenance on it. The next issue we had with the shower was with the drain. When taking a shower the tub filled half the way up. Being a homeowners we've dealt with this issue before with hair being caught & tried to remedy the issue but had no success. Note to owner/manager - the drain needs to be snaked. Then the last disappointment was with the bedroom & linens. We’ve traveled extensively with VRBO/HomeAway & have the best luck with linens, but for some reason this unit linens were sub par. It appeared these linens were well over 20 years old and were very scratchy. Good linens & blankets are not that expensive & with a small investment could easily make a world of difference...Then the final challenge was with the bed size. The master is a good sized room but only has a queen bed. Being we are king size bed owners we found it a bit odd since the size of the room could easily support a king...So dealing with the bed size and the poor quality of the linens definitely impacting our enjoyment of the unit.

Last bit of advice for the owner/managers, when traveling, its always nice when an owner spends the extra money for an amazing sleeping experience. Hopefully this review will help with future stays for the next guests. If I’m the owner it’s time to make some upgrades. Beyond those issue, everything else in the unit is good. Would've love to give a higher rating but just don't feel it deserved it...

A good place

  • 4 of 5

Covered parking is awesome in the winter.

The bed was a bit small, or I am use to a king.

Kitchen was great!

TV was nice, the remote worked about 40% of the time. So be ready to stand next to the tv until you find the right channel.

While the Summit is right next to eagle lift, this unit is in the furthest building from the lift. It's at least half a mile trek to the lift.

Nice unit, but a little to far of a walk to eagle, and the the bed needs to be replaced.
