Place is nice but horrible parking

  • 2 of 5

The place was good value for the money. However, inconvenient access and parking was horrible. The building is facing the street and only accessible from the street, no mentioned of that at all from the descriptions. That means you can't park in front or overnight. You have to park your car around the inside of the complex so you have a bit of a walk around the building on a busy street. In Mammoth in the Winter, no parking allowed on the street because of the snowplows. The other problem is when the snow melts during the day and runs down in front of the unit on Meridian, it's like a river in front of the side walk and over the side walk. We got our feet wet so many times even with snow boots on because it is so wide and deep. We dreaded coming in and out of the unit to get to our car. If you don't mind dealing with the parking and the river in front, the unit itself is good for the price you pay.

Owner's Response: Hi David, Happy to hear that you enjoyed the unit itself. It most certainly gets a little tricky when it comes to parking and staying dry here in Mammoth when we actually have a big snow year! Next time give us a call so we can find you a quieter and more accessible unit. -Stacey Stern, General Manager

Good Location ticks all the boxes

  • 5 of 5

PROS - Bus stop to Eagle Lodge (green line) directly across the road. Walking distance to Vons and restaurants/brewery etc. We didn't use our car for the whole trip.

House was tidy, warm and plenty of space.

Wifi & TV work fine.

CONS - No parking directly outside the unit, we had to unload the car on the street and then park the car in the parking lot to the complex around the corner. Not a biggy but somewhat of a hassle when coming in late at night.

Couple of things need fixed up but nothing crazy e.g. upstairs bathroom door scrapes on the tile, makes it difficult and loud to shut.

NOTES - Make sure to specify that you need 2 keys and 2 parking permits with the booking agent. They will just give you one of each if you don't ask.

Late night check ins are easy, they just leave a key and instructions for you.

OVERALL - Happy, would stay here again.
