In Hawaiian, 'Kaha Lani' means heavenly place. And that's what you'll find at this Kauai Condo. This Bali inspired Resort is breath taking. Coconut palms rustling in the gentle trade winds. You can stroll along miles of uncrowded white sand beach, lush tropical landscaping, and sometimes without seeing another person. Come & enjoy the quiet privacy of this intimate condominium on beautiful Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast. Sun yourself by the swimming pool or explore the sandy shoreline; just steps away. Our condo has everything you can possibly think of and more, that will make your stay with us perfect. Parking is free and there are no resort fees. Every condo is a non-smoking unit.

With recent renovations, this specific unit is immaculate. It is complete with new hardwood flooring, new kitchen cabinets granite countertops and new hardware, new bedding, new doors and windows, new appliances as well, granite in both bathrooms, upgraded hardware and accessories, this unit looks and feels like a brand new unit.

Kaha Lani Resort is centrally located so you are close to all the famous Kauai sights, yet you feel away from everything the moment you drive into the spacious, tropical resort. Positioned between the Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, the resort is very private. You aren't surrounded by other resorts fighting for a spot on the beach, yet you are a short drive from all the activities. The Wailua River is one mile north of the condo. This is where you can launch off in a kayak to visit Secret Falls or take a river cruise to the Fern Grotto. Right on the shores of the Wailua River sits the Coco Palms Resort that Elvis Presley made famous in the film Blue Hawaii. The hurricane Iniki shut the resort down in 1992, but it is still nice to drive past and imagine what it was like in 1961 when the movie was filmed. The Wailua Waterfall, also shown in the film, is a short drive up the nearby country road. It can be viewed from the road and is a great place to take photos. A few adventurous travelers even hike to the bottom of the falls and swim in the fresh water pool. If you like to hike, The Sleeping Giant Mountain with it's famous Hiking trails is not far either. Opoeka'a Falls is about 3 miles from the condo. You can view it from the road. Depending on the recent rainfall it may have one, two or even three falls coming over the side. The quaint town of Kapa'a is a few miles North of the condo. This is a great place to stroll for hours checking out the many shops and restaurants.

The Kaha Lani is completely surrounded by open space which creates a quiet and peaceful setting. The oceanfront Wailua Golf Course, rated one of the top municipal golf courses in the nation, is next door to the south and within easy walking distance. Just steps across the lawn from our condo are miles of beautiful uncrowded beaches.

Follow the foot path south of the Kaha Lani and you will arrive at the Kamalani Playground and Kamalani Bridge, a great community-built playground for children, which even has its own lava tube!

Activities abound in this excellent central location. The Smith Family Luau, the most popular luau on the island, is almost across the street. The Wailua River is 1 minute away. Take a boat ride up it to the Fern Grotto or canoe up the Wailua to the Secret Falls trailhead. Opaeka'a Falls is minutes away. Or rent bikes in Kapa'a and ride along the ocean. There is a tennis court and putting green on the property.

With the Beach and ocean to the east, a golf course to the south, and a park to the north and west, Kaha Lani is very private and secluded. Unless they get off the highway and drive a mile most people don't even know Kaha Lani exists. It is truly a Hidden Jewel, that you will want to return to year after year.

From the minute we walked into this condo, it took our breath away. The unobstructed view of the ocean, and the concrete path just outside that winds through the Lydgate National Park, the undeveloped white sand beach, and not to mention the Sunrise on that beach! After that, no other property or condo could compete.

What makes this condo unique

This unit is on the end of the building, with a view that is extremely gorgeous, a bit more peaceful, designed with comfort in mind, and most importantly relaxation. We have installed flat screen televisions, DVD Players, as well as a fully stocked kitchen that a chef would enjoy. With our recent remodel, the place is absolutely amazing.

Beautiful until we tried sleeping at 79 degrees

The view and beach were as advertized--wonderful.

BUT there is no air conditioning, there was no way to print a boarding pass for our flight home, there are no light blocking curtains in the bedroom, the roosters crow (in the dark, as early as 3:30AM), we paid (2) $200 damage/cleaning deposits.

We followed all instructions carefully and won't decide if we will recommend 226 to anyone else until we get the deposits back.

Owner's Response: VRBO handles all of the deposits. These funds never hit our personal account but are held by VRBO until check out. I do not know why there were 2 deposits requested unless the reservation booking was glitched and done in 2 phases and or if there was an extension. I do not know but as soon as this was brought to my attention I contacted VRBO and the credit was set to hit your account within 1 - 14 days as relayed to you on several occasions. Regarding air conditioning, I know of only 2 other units in our entire complex that have AC and they are full time residence. AC is not common in Kauai. Regarding the rooster, well, there are roosters all over the island and our management does their best to keep them at bay but as is in most tropical settings, roosters roam where they roam. I am sorry that the roosters and deposit glitch seemed to ruin your vacation. Thankfully we have wonderful reviews and our guests have very much enjoyed their time in our home, many of them repeats.

Best View!

This unit definitely has the best view you could ask for! Everything inside was convenient, clean, and comfortable. The only problem we had was - with all this to enjoy, it was hard to get motivated to leave the lanai & go somewhere else! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Few issues such as dirty towels AND HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION.

Location is at a perfect distance from airport and shopping centers. Not to mention it's half way north and south so it takes little time getting to places which makes it a treat. Here's why I have it a 2 star review. I've stayed at Castle kahalani resort where this property is located multiple times. This is the first time I have ever experienced the owner/renter being 100% horrible at communicating. And when I mean horrible I mean after I made full payments for this rental the owner went MIA. I had to personally call homeaway while I boarded the plane to get info on how to get the keys or if there were any lock

Box codes etc. I reached out too owner to obtain this info and never got a response. Once I got to the property I noticed a bunch of left over items from previous traveler that had been expired for couple months. What was worst was that the shower towels were dirty. They smelled like mildew as if they were folded wet and used and just left behind. I had to use the launders room in the resort and wash them myself. And I know this because the couple of beach towels found in the closet were clean and smelled just fine. If you are planning to cook be prepaired to go buy few pans because there were non. Wait maybe people will be able to use the clean ones I left behind. I understand it's common courtesy to make sure once you leave the place is back to neat and clean, which includes sweeping, washing dishes, sweeping any sand you may have brought into the property (which honestly to me should be covered by the cleaning fee). However if a property renter requires you to leave a place clean it should work the other way around too. Perfect location and honestly if the renter fixes these issues and if I were welcomed again I would def stay there. Hope this helps the management make sure other peoples stay is much better. Ps. I contacted homeaway to get my security deposit back, only then the owner reached out to me as of today. Almost two weeks after the trip. At least I got my deposit back!

Owner's Response: Dear Daniel I have owned this condo for many many years and have had wonderful reviews ever since opening it up to the public. My assistant of whom worked with me for many years and of whom managed our properties on island had a very sudden family emergency of which she ended up suddenly moving. She was wonderful at nurturing our guests and VRBO. The day she left I spent many, many hours on the phone with VRBO and with the payment side to get email addresses changed as all of our inquiries had been going to my assistant. I seemed to be getting all of the correspondences correctly on my email that same day on other properties we have on island so frankly I did not think another thing of it. It was not until I received a call from another party needing a confirmation that I found the email they set up for this property was not entered on their end correctly thus there was a day or 2 where I did not get any correspondences. However, once this was rectified and I reviewed all inquiries they were all taken care of, you included. I will say that in the years of renting, especially since we completely remodeled our condo early last year, we have had nothing but perfect reviews. I will take what you have stated and speak with my on island representative of whom is also the care taker of our home, however, thankfully your complaints are not at consistent with other reviews with regards to the state of the cleanliness of our home, dishes and bath towels. As far as the communication, we have that corrected. Hope you did enjoy our island.

Very nice condo with great views

We live on Kauai so we know a nice view when we see one! The views from this condo are spectacular and the location is awesome too. It's a very private condo project and isn't in a row of condo project after condo project. Centrally located too for people who want to explore the north and south side of the island. Two things that kept it from being a 5 star. This is a middle of the building unit so if you are like my husband and I and like to spend a lot of time on the lanai soaking up the view, if there is someone renting the next door unit, there is no privacy on the lanai. The other, and it was commented on another post, upstairs neighbors very heavy footed. So that was a bummer. Overall good experience but wish it was a top floor end unit.

Everything about this unit's location is perfect. At the ocean's edge, nestled in between the Pacific Ocean, Lydgate state Park, and the award-winning ocean front Wailua Golf Course, as well as in between world renowned beaches for surfing, 'Kitchens' is just south, and Tunnels Beach is just north, not to mention the miles of majestic unspoiled and undeveloped beaches to enjoy.
