34 Pelican has a great views from almost all it's windows. The view of the living room will capture both the tranquility of the Monterey Bay with the active bird sittings of the Pajaro River. This condo is prefect for a family or two. Offering two beddings for couples and one bedroom ideal for 2 - 4 children. The kitchen is well appointed and this condo is one of few condos still offering a propane grill on the balcony.

Property as described, clean and functional. Efficient and friendly check-in. Nice secluded, quiet community. Steps away from expansive beach. We had nice day-trips to see the redwoods, Carmel, etc.
Comfortable, spacious, retreat with sunrise view of the dunes, river and Pacific ocean.
My husband, adult daughter and I shared this pleasant setting for four nights over Christmas. The buildings are old and weathered and the interior shows some signs of being built many years ago, but the condo is spacious, light and clean. The location was perfect with great private views of the dunes, river and ocean. We had good winter sun shining in the windows and on the patio for breakfast. Walking the beach after high tides is a pleasure and you will see birds along the river area.
The dusty fake decorator tree provided just the right setting for our colorful Christmas lights and looked festive with the packages under it.
In the evening, the lighting in the living/dining/kitchen area was on the dim side with the exception of one free standing lamp. We tried to use the BBQ, but it was not functioning properly. And I was not impressed with the poor quality dresser and low mirror in the master bedroom. However, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen pretty well equipped and heating system was fine. Pajaro Dunes is close to Watsonville with a movie theater, markets, restaurants, and a great place to buy fresh tomales.
Overall, it is a fine place to stay and can nicely accommodate a group. It suited us very well.
Lovely, but smelly
This is a really lovely, comfortable condo, in a beautiful spot, but unfortunately the damp smell was pervasive, with an underlying rotten fishy smell that was particularly bad in one of the bedrooms. We contacted management and they cleaned a few spots on the carpet. That seemed to help a little at first, but the smell came back, and really took a lot of the enjoyment out of our time in the condo. We were in the area for our sons graduation from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, so thank goodness we were not planning our whole trip around being in and around the condo.
Thanks for the feedback we went ahead and cleaned the carpets and apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Place was very cozy and clean. Loved the views. It was neat that the owners supplied carts for people to load their things in to roll up to the condos. That definitely made life easier and less back and forth. Response from owners were very quick. Overall stay was pleasant.
Just as described!
We were there for my son's UCSC graduation. Condo.was clean, neighbors were quiet, private beach entrance was nice. We took pictues, catering company had no problem finding the condo or taking food up to second floor. They offer carts to use for bags and luggage and makes it easier to carry out. Everything was just right! Thank you!
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and experience at Pajaro Dunes. Please consider staying with us in the future we would be happy to host you and your family.
Cheers At The Dunes Staff
