Large, but needs updating
Great size, overall clean, but the dining and living room furniture were gross. Stained, dirty and the covers had tears and holes. The backs of both sofas were frayed. The kitchen could be updated with more utensils for use.

However, we are very sorry to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect. This is the first complaint we have received regarding the furniture, but we take your concerns very seriously. Had we known there was anything in the kitchen that you needed, we would have brought it over immediately. Great view, Great Location, Needs some updates
This condo has a great view of the ocean and is in a great location close to Seaside, about 25 miles to either Destin or Panama for shopping. That being said there are a few things that were a turn off. For example: This condo is old school you still have to use a key to get into it (and keep up with) you have to pick them up and drop them off at the realty group about 10-12 miles from condo. The water faucet in the kitchen is backwards if you want hot water turn it to cold. If your family & friends enjoy cooking while you are on vacation you will be disappointed on the assortment of cookware & creature comforts that are in most kitchens. The twin and queen bedrooms need to be switched adults actually need a more room than children do. The queen bedroom needs more lamps it was very difficult seeing with a 25 watt lamp, it is also lacking a television and needs black out curtains to help block the breezeway lights that seeps in at the edge of the blinds. There is no over head lighting anywhere in the condo except for the kitchen & bathrooms. We have stayed at 2 other condos in this complex and this one is not in comparison to the others. The cost should be at least 300-500 cheaper for not having the niceties.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the great view and great location of Sago Sands! Guests do check-in at our office and sign paperwork regardless of keyless entry or not. However, please know in the future that you can make arrangements with us to leave your keys in the unit upon check-out (locking the door from the inside) and phone our office to let us know you are departing. We hope your check-in on your way to the property was not too much of a hassle. This is the first time we have heard about the water faucet temperatures being backwards in the kitchen - it is being repaired. We will share your suggestions with the owner on the kitchen cookware and as well share your idea of switching the twin and queen bedrooms, adding more light and a TV in the queen bedroom, and adding a blackout curtain. This is a great gulf front condo, and despite the above, we hope you will stay with us again soon!

Amazing location, great space, slightly dated condo
The location of this into cannot be beaten. Closer to the sea and you'll be sleeping on the beach! It's also a 15mn drive max to either seaside or Rosemary's beach, both lovely towns. You can also walk to a few restaurants and shops.
The unit itself is big and airy with a lot of natural light. It's great to hear the waves at night but it can be noisy, mostly from the other a/c units around.
The unit shows its age. The kitchen would benefit from some updating in particular. But everything was in working order, or when it wasn't was fixed within hours ( toaster wasn't functioning when we arrived and was swiftly replaced).
There are additional ac units in each bedroom, which I'm sure is nice when it's really hot, but it was 85 when we were there and the central system was enough for us.
Overall, we were delighted with our stay.

My family has stayed at this property for two consecutive years. We wanted to come back the second year because of it being on the beach. Being on the third floor so my husband, who has Parkinson's, can enjoy being on the balcony enjoying the grandchildren at the beach, if he doesn't feel like walking to the beach. The view is great. Using the outdoor grill in the communal area was very inconvenient for guests. The add does not include tax and fees. Housekeeping fee and damage control is $360. Damage control part is not refundable if there is no problem. No separation of the two figures. The stove is in need of repair or replace it. The eyes of the stove were impossible to use all of them. The refrigerator door always slammed open with no hinge attached to control the opening of the door. Both doors to the patio were very difficult to open and close. TV system is hard to work, it is a very good and comfortable place to rent, but too many negatives for the price. Thanks for listening.

Yes, the association does provide a communal grills for guests to use, since it is a fire hazard to have grills on the private balconies. This is for the safety of the building and residents. If grilling is something your family desires, we are more than happy to find you private homes that have private grills for you to enjoy cooking at home.
Yes, VRBO does include the taxes and fees in the quote online and when booking. The fees include a departure housekeeping fee, a non-refundable damage protection fee for accidental damages up to $1,000 and a non-refundable administration fee.
Your concerns about the stove and refrigerator are being shared with the owner. The sticking patio doors will be looked at by maintenance, and we can provide more instructions in the unit for the TV system. If we had been informed about these items during your stay, we could have tried to resolve them. Please don’t hesitate next time to call and let us know.

Condo needs repair
The rental group was great to work with but the condo was not as presented, esp for the money.
The appliances were all in need of replacing or repair. The dryer would not stay on longer than 5 min at a time, the washer would only wash on warm (no cold or hot) the refrigerator slammed open when you opened the door- there was no hinge to steady it- this is painful when you have kids in and out of the refrigerator all day. The eyes on the stove were so crooked only one worked that a pot would not slide off. Only one door to the patio would open. My daughter (8yrs) slid twice in the shower causing bad bruising due to worn out skid resistant bottom in the tub. The guest helpful info was so out of date we could not even order a pizza without going on line ourselves to find something
All of the TVs are on different systems- being from out of town- makes it difficult to find stations when they are all different
To top it all off, the puzzles that were in the condo were all mixed together so basically worthless.
I will not go back to this condo. I notified The rental group of all of this before the end of our stay.

As you mentioned, you did notify us by email, which was the day before your departure. This is a very popular unit (nearly fully booked since the beginning of spring), and until now has never received a complaint. This was the first time we heard anything about the appliances not working correctly. When we received your email, we sent our maintenance tech to the unit to perform diagnostics. We then had to schedule a professional appliance repair service tech to look at them. We tried all efforts to fix the problem during your stay, but please know that all has been fixed now and the owner has replaced the dryer.
The cable hook-up in the unit is hardwired in some bedrooms and not in others, so their is a cable box. Unfortunately, this is how the cable company has installed it and there is no other way around it. We do provide a channel list guides for guest convenience.
As for the visitor guide, we do update it before every season. However, new things do open and close all the time. Our guest services team is here to help with any concierge needs whether it be restaurants, events, shops, attractions, excursions, etc.
