We had a great time using this property as a base camp for exploring Port Charlotte, Englewood, Boca Grande, and Gasparilla Island! Brian was wonderful and the property was perfect for us!
Glad you guys had fun!
If you are looking to feel like your in old world Florida this is the place for you This is the right place for you if you have a boat right on canal with fish jumping on very quiet dead end street and very convenient to Tampa bay Rays spring training baseball Would be great for any one inland to use as fishing or water sport base camp
Our stay at 4221 Hollis Ave Port Charlotte a 5 star vacation home
We arrived on Sunday January 15, the place was very clean
very well kept and in a good location and very easy to get to.
Our host Bryan met us with the keys and introduced himself
he is very nice and pleasant, made us feel at home. Unfortunately
due to family emergency we had to leave early.

Peaceful and quiet
This was a great little place to stay for the month. Bryan was also a perfect host. Definitely a nice change from condo living. All the neighbors were
very friendly. We loved stepping right onto the boat and only took 5 minutes to get out to the harbor. We hope to be back next year!
Vacation like a local!
This is a typical, old, Florida mobile home: the kind you see all over the state. It was fun to stay in it. "A slice of life", so to speak. The place was not as clean as I would have liked it, but that was quickly remedied with a bucket and rag. Bryan was
SO responsive to my needs and complaints that my initial concerns went away. After that bump in the road, we really enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable: heating and cooling worked great, plenty of hot water, good beds. It was so relaxing to be on the canal. The neighbors were delightful - we met them on both sides. It is on a very quiet, dead end street. Our puppy enjoyed it, too. I brought a long rope and tied it to the grill, so he had room to roam. The things I am the most glad I brought were a good knife (other than that, the kitchen was very adequately stocked), a laundry basket and clothes pins. In our explorations of the area, we loved the Punta Gorda Farmers Market on Mondays, the Venice Dog Beach and New Day Christian Church. Bryan is an excellent host and we are happy to give him our recommendation.
Thank you Ruth and Bob for your kind review. Wishing you all the best in the new year!
A little bit of paradise on the water
Our stay at this property was wonderful. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time this is the place to stay. Whether you want to be out on a boat or just sitting on the dock watching all the wildlife that surrounds you. The house is delightful and just as described, the beds were clean and comfortable. We caught fish and the kitchen was equipped with all we needed to prepare and cook our catch. The owner Bryan was so helpful and very friendly. Needless to say we really hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.
