Three bedroom self-catering holiday cottage on our farm near Auchtermuchty
About Alison Milne
The cottage is located on our family farm, owned by my husbands family over the last three generations. The farm is mixed and we grow a range of crops and keep beef cattle, all of which you will see when you come to visit. Our farm is located in a beautiful part of Scotland and every day we feel lucky to wake up to such a spectacular view.
Why Alison Milne chose Cupar
The cottage is the perfect place to explore many beautiful parts of Scotland and we would be delighted to share with you some of our favourites. We have furnished the cottage to a high standard and done our very best to ensure you feel it is your home from home, with everything you could need.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage has a private terrace with uninteruppted views of the Lomond Hills which never fail to amaze people. It has the benefit of being rurally located yet close to so many of Scotlands best places to visit.

Wonderful Cottage with Stunning Views
Received a very warm welcome from Alison on our arrival,
It wasn't too long before the chickens, pheasants and hares came to check us out.
The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home.
Do not be deceived by it's location - it is less an hours drive from: Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth and Dundee so plenty of places to see.
We will definitely be back.
Lovely homely, comfy & clean house with very friendly, helpful owners. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Lovely welcome from Alison on our arrival (even though we were quite early). The sun was shining and the view fantastic. We found it a really homely, comfortable house to base our Scottish holiday. Not far from the extinct volcanoes of West & East Lomond (which had stunning views), Mary Queen of Scots Palace at Falkland, beautiful waterfalls & fabulous beaches (where a baby seal came on the beach near us). Definitely worth a stay!!
Thank you very much Sarah, we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and time in Scotland. I hope the drive home went well and we look forward to seeing you again one day.
This is a great place for location and a home away from home
Memorable 10 day stay in Auchtermuchty!
Enjoyed 10 amazing days at this gem of a cottage overlooking the Lomond Hills outside Auchtermuchty. The cottage is in an elevated position from the road which allows breathtaking, panoramic views over the countryside all amidst a tranquil farm environment. The cottage had everything we needed (playpen, highchair and toys for our grandchild...). The beds were super comfy and I fell asleep immediately after a busy day. Lots of storage for hanging clothes and chest of drawers for storage. The cottage is finished to a high standard with carefully selected, tasteful furnishings. The water pressure in the shower was excellent and always had oodles of hot water. The clothes pulley was a blessing for drying clothes when the Scottish weather wasn't cooperating. Appreciated the Nth. American-sized fridge and the freezer, too. Loved everything about this cottage and would highly recommend to family and friends alike. Alison responded immediately when we requested extra tea towels - that was our only request. Would love to stay again!
Thank you, Alison!
Wonderful, relaxing getaway in idyllic surroundings
Alison and Daniel's farm cottage in the middle of the southern Scottish countryside was the perfect place to begin our UK vacation. We had a long drive up from London and Alison left us some staples so that we wouldn't have to run out in the morning. The cottage was immaculate, decorated perfectly ("updated farmhouse"), fully furnished with anything you'd need, and we loved the farmhouse table which comfortably fit our family of 6 (could have seated a couple more!). The views are stunning and because we arrived at night, didn't get to see them until the next morning--waking up to them was the best way for the stress of a long 24 hours of traveling to melt away! Alison was wonderful with suggestions of things to do in the area (made a dinner reservation for us), provided us with anything we asked for (including ordering a US/UK adapter for me when I realized I'd forgotten to bring one), and even let my kids borrow a couple of bikes to ride into the nearby town. The location was perfect for touring around southern Scotland (and even up to the Highlands), and had so many lovely places to visit nearby--Falkland, St Andrews and other coastal towns, and Stirling Castle, to name a few. It was lovely just to spend a day hanging around and going for a walk on the property to see the cows. :). Wish we lived closer so we could come again!
Thank you Heather for such a lovely review, we are so pleased you enjoyed it and hope you will visit us again one day. I hope the rest of your holiday went well too.
Excellent comfortable cottage in nice location
I shared 3 nights in cold February with my husband and 3 children. Plenty of room, comfortable beds and great shower. My only comment is I would suggest the availability of extra blankets for the beds. It got quite cold and when all beds are used you can't borrow from other beds to layer up. Once heating sussed out for second night it got better. They are very comfortable beds.
Hello Shayleen, thank you very much for your review and feedback. I had been thinking about extra blankets and will definitely make sure we provide some in the future. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again one day. Best wishes Alison
