About David Lewis

The owner has lived in just about every New Orleans neighborhood and ultimately chose to live in this area because it was his favorite part of town.

David Lewis purchased this townhome in 2006

Why David Lewis chose New Orleans

The layout of the property provides great common areas for a group gathering such as the living room kitchen areas, a spacious 420 square foot deck, and a covered outdoor space that is great for hosting a crawfish boil. The number of bedrooms and individual beds make it a great place for gatherings with friends and/or family.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Great location, clean, and a wonderful host. David was very nice and friendly. As with most places, this is in a residential area, so don't expect to get loud. Walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants on Magazine St. and a short uber/taxi to the French Quarter and other parts of town. I would definitely come here again.

Great spot for a group in a really cool location

  • 5 of 5

We had a big group of friends stay here and had a ton of fun exploring the Garden District. Great food and bars are just around the corner on Magazine and you're either a nice walk or a quick cab ride from downtown. David was super helpful and had a ton of recommendations for cool things to do. If you want to have fun in New Orleans and see a little bit more than just Bourbon Street I highly recommend this place. It's a neighborhood spot, though, so don't annoy the neighbors!

Lots of Space and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We had a large group staying for a long weekend and this property was great for us. There was plenty of comfortable beds and bathroom space to accommodate our entire group (~15), and we really enjoyed being able to hang out on the large deck. The location was great, as it is way less crowded and crazy than the Quarter, but still just a short cab or Uber ride away from all the big name places you want to see. The neighborhood felt safe and walk-able and we enjoyed that there are great bars and restaurants in walking distance. Additionally, we found it convenient that their is a Walmart nearby to get snacks and beverages for the house. I would definitely stay here again!

Meets the Need

  • 4 of 5

Location. Location. Location. This place is just a short cab ride from Bourbon Street and a mild walk to the shops and restaurants of Magazine Street. There is multiple bars around the corner (less than five minute walk) and a corner store.

The house can accommodate a crowd (we had 16 guys) but, keep it quiet: the renter is right next door! Good if there's an emegency but, not ideal for privacy. There wasn't much by way of cooking supplies but, plenty of linens and towels to get by. There is also a washer and dryer for long stays. The outdoor space is minimal but, that's the norm in the area.
