Great property in great neighborhood!

  • 4 of 5

We really had a great time staying at this rental. We were a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) and it gave us all enough personal space, yet still allowed for us to spend time together. The location was fantastic--perfect for visitors who want to be near everything, but not in touristy areas/would rather be in a neighborhood for locals. There are shops for anything and everything you may need within steps and it always felt very safe. Emiliano was great to work with for setting up the rental and making sure we had transfers to/from airport and Ivan was very helpful in getting us checked in and helping us understand how everything worked. We only had one issue--it was super hot (above average temps in the 90s every day) and the AC for the living room was out--Emiliano tried to get it fixed, but it was beyond repair--would've been nice to have it replaced while there. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants to be near everything, but still feel like a local.

Great location with lots of space

  • 4 of 5

This is a huge, great place in a great location. It wasn't as clean as one would hope (clothes dropped on the floor came up covered in dust, chair covers needed a clean, there were stains on some of the sheets) and it would benefit greatly from instructions/manuals for things like the washing machine and dishwasher (which we had to run 4 times before we found a setting that washed and dried the dishes and it still didn't do a good job), and things like a "don't turn this off" sign on the switch that turns off the power to the FRIDGE (our son played with switches and defrosted all our food) but it was bright and spacious and the things that were not working when we arrived were fixed within two days.

I would recommend it for sure, it just needs a little extra effort on the management side. Some street noise from the bar below but not bad.

Great place to stay in Rome near the vatican

  • 5 of 5

Three couples stayed at this lovely 3 bedroom, 3 bath apartment near Piazza Cavour. It was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The location was very convenient and within walking distance to St. Peters, Vatican museum, Piazza Narvona, and Piazza Popola. It is very close to St. Angel Castle. We were there for 4 days, May 10-14, 2016. The weather was very pleasant and temperature in the apartment comfortable. We even opened up the windows and stood out on the little balcony. The only negative was noise at night. It is at the intersection of 2 streets. If you like to go to sleep early, chose the bedroom on the inside next to the kitchen.

The largest bedroom has 2 large windows with little balconies which we loved. No bugs in May so we could open them up in the daytime when we were there. There are no screens. Each room has a fan which we used at night to eliminate the street noise.

The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. There is a very nice gas stove, large refrigerator and dishwasher. There is not a toaster or American type of coffee pot. There are shops with coffee and pastries a few doors away. There is a Coop grocery store one block away and a fruit store close by. Within 1-2 blocks there are many fabulous restaurants. We liked San Marco restaurant on Tacitio and a couple one block over on Via Cicerone.

Our host was very accommodating arranging transportation from the train station and to the airport.

We would stay at this apartment again. It was comfortable for 6 adults.

Spacious, comfortable, clean in a great & safe location. Less touristy and everything a walk away.

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in the elegant Prati district, about 2 blocks from Piazza Cavour. This allowed us to walk to all of the sites (Piazza Nonona, Vatican, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, etc.) by day and eat with the locals at night. A nice shopping strip along Via Cola di Rienzo is a 3 minute walk away. You can see the Vatican walls in the distance. Gorgeous location with great character.

The apartment itself is very spacious. There is a store a block away, restaurants and pizzerias everywhere, even an Irish pub on the block. In spite of this, it was very quiet at night.

Our host was courteous and helpful. I recommend getting airport pickup and dropoff ...well worth it and thankfully organized by our host on request.

While we were there the temperatures reached 95F every day and the AC in the living room wasn't great. We found it and the numerous fans adequate though and not a major issue. The water pressure in the showers was terrific and helped cool us down anyway.

This was a true "home from home" for us. My wife, 2 teenage kids and I would love to return. Highly recommended all around.

Add a star if air conditioning is not an issue

  • 4 of 5

This beautiful apartment located in the Prati district was perfect for my family of 5 - spacious bedrooms, lovely bathrooms, a large living/dining area and loaded kitchen. It was in a great location, walkable to many sites, coffee shops, groceries, shopping and some really terrific restaurants (Obladi Oblada and Il Belli were a big favorites.) We also can't say enough about the level of service from Emiliano and Fabrizio (who greeted us at the apartment with a bottle of wine, a warm smile and loads of advice and suggestions). They arranged for us to be picked up from Roma Termini and dropped off at Fiumicino and came to our rescue when we locked ourselves out. ("I thought YOU had the keys!")

Air conditioning was an issue. There was a large portable unit in the main living area that needed to be vented out of an open Juliet window and really wasn't up to the high 90 temperatures we were experiencing. Bedrooms were cooled by circulating fans that tried valiantly to compete with the heat but came up short. We took a lot of cold showers and consequently left many used bath towels. In our experience, air conditioning in Italy is a flexible concept and occasional treat - not the norm we are used to in the States - and traveling in Italy during July and August comes with the understanding that it will get HOT. If you travel during the 10 more temperate months and a/c is not an issue for you than this is a 5 star apartment.

Good location but no AC

  • 3 of 5

The apartment was within 15 min walking distance to several Rome attractions, including Vatican. We also can find street food, coffee shops, and restaurants within couple blocks. All in good quality. The 3 bed room apartment was clean and spacious. It has the charm of old world. The fact of having 3 bath rooms makes it convenient for a large family or a group of families. There was no AC in all room except a potable unit at living room which doesn’t work well. It got quite hot in the afternoons and evenings at late June. The apartment was at second floor of a downtown street. We had to deal with noise and mosquitoes when windows were open. Well, it was in an old building at the middle of the city. It took us 30 minutes waiting outside and several phone calls to get into the apartment when we arrived. We provided our schedule a week ahead and we were on time. The person received us didn’t know how to operate all electronics in the apartment so didn’t we. However, he provided info of close by food choices which turned out useful.
