About Nathan Smith

We occupy the main residence and live here in the winter. We are farmers from North Dakota that are trying to be ski bums in the winter.

Nathan Smith purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Nathan Smith chose Big Sky

This is one of the most unique properties in the Big Sky area. There is access to close to 800 acres of private land for hiking, biking, Nordic skiing and overall enjoyment. The views are amazing and the abundance of wildlife is astounding.

What makes this cabin unique

Very private, well decorated cabins with full kitchens, and hot tubs.

Ideally remote

  • 4 of 5

This was the perfect place for us to honeymoon. We didn't realize there was a neighboring house, but the neighbors were friendly and quiet. My husband and I loved being able to cook at our leisure in the well-stocked kitchen. Everything was very clean and the hot tub was fantastic. The owner was easy to get ahold of and the property manager was friendly. I would absolutely go back for a weekend away or with friends. We came thinking we'd spend lots of time in Yellowstone, but Big Sky and Bozeman had almost everything we were looking for (whitewater rafting, hiking, and ATV rentals all at a good price). The hiking recommendations made in the binder at the cabin were on point!

This was an amazing cabin, just as described and the views are second to none.

  • 5 of 5

We drove up from Texas to see Yellowstone. We weren't sure what to expect because it seems that most of the descriptions on the Internet when looking for places to stay tend to be exaggerated but this cabin was definitely not. Yellowstone was a little bit further away than we expected but it was well worth it. We are now thinking of maybe rebooking for a winter vacation.

D&L Crable

We Love eveything about this Cabin . The views were outstanding ! Cabin very Clean, Beds were more comfortable than mine at Home and I think my Bed is very comfortable . We also saw a Momma Black Bear and her Two Cubs walking across the road as we were Driving down the Mountain that was very exciting for us since we kept a look out all week to see one in Yellowstone , but we saw more wildlife mostly in Big Sky. Hot Tub was very nice to come back to and Relax after a long Day. Definitely one of my top cabins so far I have stayed in.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very nicely decorated, and cozy. The location is unbeatable - endless walking/hiking/running/cycling opportunities. Although the drive from The Meadow is fairly long, the location of the cabin feels like you are in another world. The hot tub worked great. We did not see any wildlife this time, and were actually surprised by that, given the location. All the arrangements were just as described in the directions, and access was easy. Everyone had a great vacation - our dog included.

Great Family Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 were out to Big Sky to ski for the week. The cabin was "perfect" for a family get away! Everything you would need was there. Cabin was clean, well kept, driveway was maintained. Hot tub was wonderful! Would definitely go back again!

excellent place where you can spend your vacation

  • 5 of 5

I am giving to this cabin 5 star review. It's very nice , very clean place, where i was more than happy to spend my time on my ski trip in January. Also- LOCATION< LOCATION !!!!! Only 15-20 min to big sky center, where you can find all stores, shopping and restaurants, but when you are back to cabin, it feels like you are looking at the post card with unbelievable views!!!

Notes:
This is a very unique property located in one of the most renowned skiing towns in america, Big Sky, Montana. It is home to some of the best views Big Sky has to offer. It overlooks Big Sky Valley, Big Sky Resort and Lone Peak, the Yellowstone Club, and the rugged Spanish Peaks mountains. The setting is a high ridge just east of Big Sky. This property enjoys some of the best sunsets in Big Sky and the best star gazing around. Although Big Sky is a winter haven, there are plenty of activities to enjoy in the summer months. Take a hike amongst the abundance of wildlife and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature while only being a few miles from all the amenities you need. Enjoy golf, biking, rafting, kayaking and rock climbing to name a few activities. Also save a day to adventure through Yellowstone National Park which is home to grizzly bears, wolves, and herds of buffalo and elk. It is a 50 mile drive to the West entrance of the park.
