Golf cart. Close to beaches, resort amenities, luxury kitchen, private setting
The amenities of Seaglass Village Resort are included in your rental. Seaglass Village is a gated private resort in a forest setting convenient to the beaches of the south coast of Maine. Be sure to read about the features of Seaglass Village on this webpage below.
Relax in luxury in this immaculate private cottage in Seaglass Village Resort. Put up your feet in the sun room and watch the big-screen TV. Send the kids to the family pool which is just a short distance away. Unwind in the secluded back yard woods. Build a cozy fire in the nearby pocket park. Make your favorite snacks in the opulent kitchen. Sleep late on a wonderful bed in one of the quiet bedrooms.
At sunrise, walk on one of the fabulous beaches in Wells, Moody, or Ogunquit. They’re only minutes away by trolley if you prefer not to drive. Kick-back with a tall frosty and a lobster roll on the deck at Barnacle Billy’s in Perkins Cove or see a great show at the famous Ogunquit Playhouse. And antique places are everywhere! In the Fall, come up and look at the trees during the leaf-peeping season.
Of course there is plenty to do right here in Seaglass Village. The kids will love the family pool. The 12,000 square-foot adult area clubhouse has lots of pools, bocce and putting green, so relax with a drink from the bar after a fun afternoon. Play tennis, take a walk in the woods, work-out in the well-equipped gym. Book a massage in the clubhouse. Work out in the well equipped gym. Let the on-site concierge book a helicopter ride or a whale watching boat for you.
This sweet cottage has immaculate oak floors throughout except for the great porcelain tile in the bathroom and sun room. Open the many windows and let the sea breezes cool your fevered brow, but there are three ceiling fans and A/C if you need them. The tray ceiling accents the spacious quality of the kitchen and dining areas.
The splendid kitchen has everything you’ll need to fix your favorite beach meals. You’ll love the granite counter tops and high-end cabinets. All of the appliances are practically new and excellent quality (stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, disposal, with full-size washer and dryer in the closet of the second bedroom). The cozy bar with a pair of tall stools is perfect for watching the cook while you sip a cool one. There’s even a lobster pot and lobster crackers… we’ve thought of everything!
When you’re ready to sit down to eat your seafood feast, there’s plenty of room at the big family-style oak table that seats six—or more if you pull in extra chairs. The place comes furnished with all of the dinnerware and flatware you’ll need for fun and relaxed dining.
When it’s time for bed at the end of a perfect day, tuck yourself into one of the really comfortable beds. The cottage sleeps six. The two bedrooms are light and airy with white bead-board wainscoting and cozy furnishings. The master bedroom has a luxurious queen sized bed, and sweet bureau with a pair of large closets for all of your stuff.. Of course, there’s a flat-screen TV on the wall. The second bedroom is as nice as the master, except it sleeps three in a twin over double bunkbed.
However, the best sleeping place may just be the enclosed sunroom. Close the sliding door and pull the drapes to convert it to a private sleeping space. Open the walls of windows to let the night forest air lull you to sleep on the sofa-sleeper which accommodates two comfortably.
Nancy and Jerry welcome you and your well-behaved children (aren’t they all?) to a beach and forest vacation that will make memories. We’re sure you will want to come back again!

very clean cottage with great ammenities
Recently stayed for long weekend. Was incredibly clean & recently renovated. Perfect cottage with beautiful community center pools, hot tub, library, music/dancing at night (with golf cart rental @$35/day). Trolley ride to beautiful beaches & variety of restaurants. The owner responded quickly to questions. Highly recommend!
Lovely little cottage in a resort community. Very clean and inviting.
Quiet community with friendly residents. Not on the beach but close. Traffic on rte 1 is often conjested, but there is a Trolley that stops at the Village at regular intervals. Trolley is a good option because parking fees are high. Two large pools and other amenities accessible to guests along with a golf cart to travel around the grounds.
Hi Mary: Thank-you for staying at our cottage. Your are right, the trolley is a great resource. Nancy and I really like to have guests staying there when we can't be there, so please come back soon!
Perfect place to stay for the family!
Great location with easy access to multiple beaches, restaurants, and activities for the family.
Hi Dr. Matt: Thanks for the kind words. I hope the kids really liked the family pool!
scott and maureen
had a wonderful stay, house was very clean and well stocked, club house and pool were great also thanks so much, scott and maureen
Thank-you Scott and Maureen for being our guests! Our goal is to have a perfect place to relax and have fun.
Better than advertised! Such a great place!
As with most rentals, we were a bit apprehensive about renting a place without seeing it first. This was a pleasant surprise! It was probably the cleanest rental we have ever been in. Beautiful kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of room for the whole family. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and then some! It was like new and you could tell the owners have pride of ownership.
It was just a short drive to the beaches and a great location with so much to do within walking distance.
Truly a great find, and we plan on heading back this year for sure!
Thanks so much!
So glad you liked the cottage! We agree that the proximity to the beach is great! Come stay with us again next year! We would love to have you back!
A wonderful cottage in a vacation village with plentiful amenities and amiable hosts. 5 stars!!
We traveled to Maine to catch the fall colors and enjoy the beauty of the southern Maine coast. We were not disappointed. This property is less than thirty miles from the Portland Airport. The cottage was well appointed, cute as a bug, very well maintained, and immaculate. Our hosts, Nancy and Jerry Fields, provided us with tips on things not to miss with directions. They were the next best thing to a dedicated concierge. We could not have asked for more. Beaches, a tremendous selection of restaurants and shops are in communities within a few minutes' drive. If you are a nature lover there are nature parks and hiking trails nearby. As an avid photographer I had ample opportunity to get spectacular nature and landscape shots, including many of iconic light houses. The sunrises over the ocean were beautiful to behold as the weather cooperated completely. We highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again in the not too distant future.
Thank-you for being our guests! Seaglass Village is a great home base for the Southern Maine experience. Glad you found the lighthouses too! Nancy and I would love to have you as our gests again!
Sandy beaches, rocky coves, lighthouses, lobster dinners, antiques, art galleries, hiking and kayaking …just some of the reasons that the southern Maine coast attracts visitors from around the world. Seaglass Village is in the heart of Maine’s southern coastal region, minutes from the state’s best beaches and most popular resort towns. The historic coastal towns of Kittery, the Yorks, Wells, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport and Old Orchard Beach offer a wide variety of fine dining, boutiques, museums, and cultural events when you’ve had your fill of stunning scenery and outdoor recreation. Seaglass Village is located in Wells, ME, the more tranquil neighbor to bustling Ogunquit. While the area is laced with antique shops and restaurants, Wells is primarily known for its natural attractions. The town features seven miles of oceanfront and offers three sandy, public beaches. The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge and Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm are favorites with hikers and nature enthusiasts. Seaglass Village is located close to Ogunquit, one of Maine’s most popular resort towns. Ogunquit offers a beautiful, 3 ½ mile sandy beach, the famed Marginal Way walking trail overlooking the ocean, wonderful shopping and dining, and a vibrant arts community. Ogunquit is home to the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, recently called the “most beautiful little museum in the world.” The Wells Regional Intermodal Transportation Center is conveniently located at Exit 19 off I-95, about 8 miles from the cottage (14 minutes). From there, you can take the Amtrak Downeaster, or get on the colorful Shoreline Explorer Trolley which stops right at the entrance to SeaglassVillage. It will also take you to the beaches, shopping and nightlife, and great restaurants. It operates seasonally and provides connections to Sanford, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit and York. Another option is the Sanford Ocean Shuttle which provides year-round transportation connections from the Wells Regional Transportation Center to Wells Beach and Sanford, ME.
