About the property

Enjoy Our Cozy Modern House Located In The Beautiful Mountains Of Colorado.

** Summer **

Kick back and relax on an acre and a half of outdoor fun. You can hang out on one of the two decks to BBQ or just take in the view. Be sure to lounge on the over-sized deck furniture at night to take in the spectacular view of our bright shinning stars. Shoot some hoops with the kids or knock some balls through some wickets. Throw some logs in the fire-pit because it's a hit for people of all ages. S'mores couldn't taste any better than roasting over an open fire in the cool mountain air. Laughing around the fire will leave ever-lasting memories for you and you loved ones.

Colorado is known for our beauty and being outside. Surrounded by beautiful parks like Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Roosevelt National Forest and lots of others too! You'll find this is a wonderful place to hike, bike, and fish.

**Winter**

In the winter enjoy the gentle slopping driveway which makes a great place to sled, snowboard or ski. Pull out one of the many board games to keep everyone entertained. Sip tea or hot chocolate snuggled up watching a movie with the warm glow of the fire nearby.

Eldora Ski Resort less than 15 miles away. Other ski resorts like Loveland, Keystone, Copper and Winter Park are roughly an hour or less away.

Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, PS3, High Speed WiFi, Stereo with sub, and the master bedroom's adjustable massaging mattress after a day of fun outdoors!

About Andrew Duncan

We're fun, goofy, laid back folks who love the outdoors. We believe in re-purposing and living healthy. Yep, there's a little bit of hippy in us! Some things outside our home were made from recycled materials, if that's the sort of thing you're into just ask and we'll happily tell you all about some of the projects we've done. My wife is a Colorado native and I'm from Michigan. I work and commute to Boulder everyday and get to soak up some of the amazing views Colorado has to offer on my drive. My wife takes care of our wonderful little boy.

Andrew Duncan purchased this house in 2009

Why Andrew Duncan chose Front Range

We wanted to live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado and also wanted to be near a Ski resort. This home fit our tastes and lifestyle perfectly. We love snowboarding, hiking, biking, fishing, having BBQ's and just kicking back sometimes. Our house allowed us to have all the things we love and still be near enough to the city for work and fun.

What makes this house unique

The day we first saw this house was a gloomy rainy day. However, once we came inside, the sun came out and a beautiful big rainbow hovered above our backyard and a young deer crossed underneath the rainbow. We knew this was the house for us and no sign could be clearer.

Beautiful scenery. Comfy place.

  • 5 of 5

My wife, three kids, and I stayed here for 7 days. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The place was itself was very nice and comfortable, and the scenery was amazing. Marie kept in contact with us to ensure our stay was good, which was awesome. Good memories for us and the kids, and totally worth the travel investment. 5 out of of 5, would (will) stay again.

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves this Thanksgiving. This home has breathtaking views from every window! It was very well stocked and VERY clean (which I am a stickler about). Marie was very responsive and over all very pleasent. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Beautiful house! My favorite part? Waking up to the sunrise outside the Master Bedroom window!

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous property. House warm and inviting. The bed in the Master bedroom was Super Cozy. We slept with the window open and loved the moon shining in at night and the sunrise in the morning. Lots of hiking choices nearby which we took advantage of. Spent a little time at Black Hawk Casino and also enjoyed the town of Nederland. Will definitely make this recommendation to anyone, and look forward to coming back here to enjoy more of the hiking and scenery.

Comfortable and clean home, great views, conveniently located

  • 5 of 5

We just had a great adventure in Colorado using this property as home base for 5 days. The good:

Upon entering the cabin, you notice that it is clean and well cared for, and they have everything you need to feel at home. Wifi at the cottage and cell signal with Verizon were solid, making it easy to stay in tune with the "real world" of work back home when necessary. The blue-tooth stereo receiver was our number one entertainment when we were there, as we basically sat on the porch and listened to music whenever we had free time at the cottage. The view from the side deck is awesome. we had morning coffee outside every day on the deck, and watched stars every night with a few local craft brews. I found the location to be very convenient, we made day trips every day, driving to Golden Gate Canyon (minutes away), RMNP (maybe an hour and 15), Nederland (20 minutes), Boulder (50 minutes), and the casino towns(literally NOTHING to do but gamble there). We cooked dinner and breakfast in a couple times, and the kitchen has everything you should need, including some spices. FYI - plan on getting groceries in Idaho Springs, Nederland, or Golden on your way in, Blackhawk and Central City don't have legit grocery stores. Andrew and Marie reached out to make sure that we had everything in order, and made themselves available for any questions, and were very quick to respond with any questions. We had GREAT weather for our trip-all the locals we met were telling us how much of an anomaly the weather was for that time in October, but if the weather turned I believe that the cottage and property would be a nice place to be snowed in for a couple days if you had enough supplies. The place is very well stocked with movies, a playstation, nice flat screens in the great room and master bedroom, fire pit, all kinds of stuff. Andrew and Marie also have a nice binder of info on activities that we found helpful. Also, the beds are comfortable, you'll have plenty of SOFT clean towels, and the showers have good pressure and hot water (we ran out of hot water only one time after going to RMNP for the day because everyone was taking LONG showers, but that was on us and not a regular issue at all). Bottom line is, I would absolutely come back to this property, and have no second thoughts about recommending it. And the bad? I cannot think of one negative thing about our experience at this property. I didn't want to leave.

The property was wonderful. The house was perfect for a family gathering of 5 adults.

  • 5 of 5

The house felt very secluded. The view is gorgeous and, if you are lucky, you might see the beautiful bobcat that visited us the first morning. It's an easy drive to Nederland or Golden, if you want to go out to dinner or do a little shopping. If you are feeling competitve, you can play a killer game of obstacle croquet. We had a great time and hope to go back soon.

Peaceful and Serene

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Duncan's cabin was so peaceful, relaxing and fun. Everything we needed was provided. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were so comfy...everything was just perfect! The outdoor sitting areas were so lovely. Andrew and Marie are such nice people and so easy to work with,

corresponding with them was a breeze. They responded quickly whenever we had a question.

We are hoping to stay in this lovely home again next year. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us, Marie and Andrew!
