About M & J

Family owned property since 1982. This home is very close to our hearts. We have completely remodeled it in 2013. This is the area we grew up in and we often stay here for vacation ourselves, so that we can continue to enjoy the serenity of this place.

M & J purchased this mobile home in 1982

Why M & J chose Sexton Cove

My parents purchased this property in 1982 and we moved to Key Largo shortly after. After our mother's passed away in 2012 we completely remodeled the property and we strive to keep it in top condition. We couldn't bare the thought of ever selling our childhood home... so we offer it as a vacation rental, and that allows us to share our paradise with vacationers from around the world.

What makes this mobile home unique

The best thing we love about this property is its versatility. You can dock your boat at the pier, go fishing, kayaking, scuba diving, water skiing, swimming... or just enjoy the magnificent sunsets with a glass of wine on the private deck and watch the evening sunsets.

Cozy, clean, and the dock with the private beach was just perfect for my little ones and I. Kids playing in the private beach while hubby and I listening to music sipping Margaritas. Great place to create memories. We sure did Spring Break 2017 @ Sexton Road !! Thank you.

Great sunsets

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the awesome sunsets on the dock. The house itself was very clean and neat. The well stocked kitchen was helpful as we were able to do some cooking.

Owner's Response: Dear Dave, Thank you very much for a great 5* review. We are glad that you had a great stay. We all like to cook and eat out on the patio, so it is important to us to have a well stocked kitchen. Glad to hear that you enjoyed that as well.

View is absolutely amazing and the house was very clean.

Overall the experience was very good and you couldn't ask for a better location/view. A few recommendations to make the experience even better. Please provide more than one roll of toilet paper, we had to go buy more on our last day. Get a better grill, the one you have is small and rotting out. Please provide your guests with an iron/ironing board. And lastly, the hot water took a long time to heat up. We had to let it run for 5 minutes, turn if off and then let it run again for few minutes to get it to heat up.

Owner's Response: Dear Kerri, Thank you for your review and for letting us know what we need to improve on. We are now providing enough toilette paper (we agree, you shouldn't have to go buy any during your stay). We have ordered a new grill--unfortunately, the proximity to the ocean causes the grill to deteriorate much faster than the expected wear and tear, and we will be sure to regularly replace the grill from now on. Lastly, we have installed solar panels to be a bit more environmentally conscious, and that is why it takes a couple of minutes to get the hot water going, once you turn it on for the first time. As annoying as it can be, we hope that our guests appreciate the thought behind it and that it won't negatively affect their stay. Once again, thank you for great feedback and for helping us to continually improve our house and the experience our guests have.

Lovely place to watch the sunset

  • 5 of 5

The home was nice. Looked like new paint, lots of beachy decorations. All the amenities you would expect. The dock was solid. Nice area to dine al fresco. The beach, while very small, was nice sand. I imagine a good play area for little ones. There was an outside hose so we could rinse our SCUBA gear, and lots of places to hang things out to dry. Quiet neighborhood which was perfect!
