I am 40 years old and have been living in Santa Fe since 2013. I have lived in Texas, Colorado, Peru (Cusco), Michigan and now in New Mexico.
For 10 years I was a Mechanical Engineer in the Corporate world for global corporations and now I work to serve people of all ages in a variety of ways in the form of personal service. From providing Elder Care in the Santa Fe community to teaching science to children.
Now I host people here in Santa Fe and also in Peru where I organize and lead trips to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
I live in the same area as the vacation rental and I deal directly with all guests. From key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between.
Mark purchased this house in 2015
My husband and I traveled to Santa Fe with our two teenage daughters. This property was perfect for us. It was cozy and comfortable yet big enough for us to spread out. The kitchen was well-equipped - though I didn't utilize it. (It was my vacation, too!) It is walking distance to the shops, spas and restaurants on the Plaza. My husband and oldest daughter enjoyed some skiing. I would recommend renting equipment in Santa Fe rather than at the ski resort. You cannot believe how long the line was. My youngest daughter and I enjoyed facials at the Absolute Nirvana Spa which was an enjoyable walk from Casa Michi. Mark was a great host. He met us as planned, answered all our questions and gave us some Santa Fe tips. The house was clean and well-maintained. The shower was terrific - an important feature to our family. (We don't like trickling showers.) And.. the heat worked well - also important in late December. There was also some great outdoor space that we were unable to enjoy because of the low temperature but would be perfect for a summer visit. We plan to return to Casa Michi next year and recommend it to others.
We came to Santa Fe for our annual outing for Thanksgiving and chose Casa Michi Dos as our base. Upon arrival we were greeted by our host, Mark, who made us feel right at home. The small house is well arranged and well furnished, and had just the right amount of space for us. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen, the nice furnishings, and cleanliness of the house. We could easily walk to the Plaza, and the Guadalupe shopping area as well as many trails around the city. A covered parking space was a nice touch as well. Overall, a very pleasant place to enjoy two weeks in Santa Fe.
A spacious, clean, private, cozy and well equipped casita, with a great location. The only negative thing I can say is that it didn't have a dishwasher..but with so many nice restaurants around, we didn't eat in :) Everything went very smoothly-reservations, checking in, and prompt return of the security deposit. Mark gave us a warm welcome and was there if we had any questions, a great host! Would stay again.
Mark was great and the condo was fully equipped, clean, and convenient to everything. The kitchen is well equipped, and overall we were very comfortable. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because the back bed is so small that it really only fits one adult person. We were originally going to be two couples and two adult children (the adult children sleeping on the pull out in the living room that is sizable), but the back bedroom was so small that we took the cousins to my sister's so the second couple could sleep on the pull out. I would recommend this condo for sure, but either two small children or one adult would fit in the back bedroom and be comfortable. Otherwise Mark is GREAT!!!
The house is absolutely charming. It is well located, and very well stocked. I stayed for 12 days, and cooked quite often. I found everything I needed and more. I also found it quite easy to walk to a wide variety of restaurants when I did not want to cook. It's an easy walk to the plaza. Mark was kind and helpful, and very prompt if I needed anything. I would highly recommend this house for your vacation in Santa Fe.
We loved staying here. The house is roomy and comfortable and we felt right at home. Had everything we needed and was spotless. Mark was super helpful and flexible with our arrival time, etc. You can walk to everything in Santa Fe easily and get out of town for hikes in a jiffy. Would definitely stay here again.
