Lovely 2 bedrooms with large living area overlooking an amazing Venitian square
- english, french, spanish, italian
I like architecture, arts and cities. I travel a lot and I like learning by different cultures and meeting new people. I love this bright charming apartment and its special site within the historical Venice. I like regional food and market place to know about seasonal local food. I love having a spritz Martini (no Aperol please!) at 7 pm in the bar at the corner relaxing with people living in the area. Once I met a Spanish couple there. After days spent in crowdy areas, out of the blue they had found the 'real' Venice! .
Why Owner chose Venice-Murano-Burano
I was used to leave in this flat before moving away and I just love it! All the family and friends love it because its warm atmosphere with family furnitures, art, photo, architecture, travel books and novels. I'll provide you confortable beds with new fine sheets and full sets of white tovels including shower towels. Beaches towels are also available.
What makes this Apartment unique
The entrance is in the street "Calle del traghetto" but the flat faces the square Campo della Cason. So it's so bright! The location also is fantastic. It's so uniquely placed within the historical core of the city near Rialto! You can't be lost and you can easily access all beautifil sites of Venice. It should be noted that in Venice a convenient location is very important. Here you can just walk to get home from all relevant sites as San Marco square, Rialto bridge/market, Ghetto, or you can take a boat along the Gran Canal. All relevant places to visit are walking distance and public boats are very close!

The apartment was large and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. There was a great view of the courtyard below. We would definitely return for a longer stay!
Fabulous location. Spatious apartment.
Perfect for us with grown up kids.
A great, spacious and central apartment suitable for having people round for food or staying over.
Rosa was very helpful before our arrival and made sure that we had everything we needed. The house was tidy on arrival and (as architecture students) full of interesting things to read. She even helped with some research on the city we were conducting during our time in Venice!
Location wise, the flat was central, with Rosa knowing several local restaurants to go and eat at- find the Ricci bar for some Spritz (and karaoke...). There were no loud neighbours.
Generally, a really nice stay and I would certainly return.
Charming historical Venitian district with little channels and typical houses and squares. The flat overlooks a beautiful and quiet Venetian square, characterized by a big tree. The supermarket is right at the corner of the road. There are nice bars and restaurants in the area where you meet locals for breakfast with a cappuccino and Venitian brioche (let try pastina di riso, a rice cake, or kifferl, with almond marmelade) or apertitivo (try Campari or Aperol Spritz in Venice is a must and different than any other in Italy and ask for a "tramezzino" also special and varoius here) and local food in 'baccaro' (just unique Venitian places for stop for a glass of wine and a taste of local food such as "polpletta" or "squidd" or "fondo di carciofo" artichoke speciality or "coppa de toro" not possible to translate but delicious beef ham or "mezzano" and "Asiago" cheeses).
The apartment in this district is located in the core of the city on the same side of the Gran Canal as San Marco square. It is in an excellent location to visit the city . Close to the Rialto bridge, ten minutes walk from Piazza San Marco, easy to reach by boat without crossing bridges minutes. Walking distance to different directions you can get all important sites to visit! Few steps from museums, monuments, Ghetto, Rialto market, restaurants and public boat stops.
The nearest monuments to visit less than five minutes walking are:
on one side, the church SS. Apostoli with the 15th Century Corner Chapel by Codussi in the square SS. Apostoli and by continuing 2 minutes more in the same direction, the Gran Canal and the beautiful Venitian gothic palace and museum Ca' D'Oro (Golden House);
on the other side, SS. Maria dei Miracoli church, a masterpiece of the early Venitian Renaissance that seems coming up directly from the water of the little channel around. By continuing in the same direction, the medieval Basilica SS. Giovanni e Paolo called San Zanipolo by Venitians (inside funerary monuments of Venitian Doges and masterpieces of famous artists such as Veronese, Lorenzo Lotto, Giovanni Bellini and the chapel to commemorate the victory of Lepanto achieved by Republic of Venice in 1582), into the square with the same name where also is the wonderful marble facade of the Scuola Grande San Marco and the Renaissance equestrian statue of Colleoni.
To know: in Venice the address is very complicated and different than in any other cities. Since the Republic of Venice administrative organization still permaining, all the city includes 6 big districts called "sestrieri" with one numbering. The apartment address is Cannaregio 4575A. It is located at the limit of the Sestriere Cannaregio where it links Sestriere di Castello and Sestriere di San Marco. If you look at the Venice map (that looks like a fish) the site of the flat is baricentric and very useful to go around walking crossing little channels and bridges.
If you fly to Venice-Marco Polo, from the airport you can get to the apartment directly by boat with Alilaguna and stop at Fondamenta Nuove. We'll pick you up there and take you home (few minutes walking). If you arrive by train, from the railway station take line 1 direction San Marco and stop at Ca' D'Oro. We'll pick you up there and take you home (few minutes walking). If you arrive by car, we suggest to park just before the bridge connecting Venice to the mainland (there are several open air parks) and get the bus to get Piazzale Roma (last opportunity to park your car but more expensive). From Piazzale Roma take public boat line 1 direction San Marco and stop at Ca' D'Oro. We'll pick you up there and take you home (few minutes walking).
