Amazing retreat

The pictures do not do this place justice. Very cool place and even just liked hanging out in the house. One thing, bring jackets for night time.

Unique experience and a nice stay.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoy our one week stay at the jungle house. It's a unique experience for us. The house was well stocked. It's very spacious with nice views of the tropical plants. The beds were comfortable. The wifi was fast.

Without full glasses in the windows, the house was a little damp and noisy at night (from the frogs and rain). You'll get used to it after the first night. That's what a jungle house really is. We slept well after the first night. Overall, we had a very nice stay at the jungle house. Thank you very much for everything.

The jungle house was exactly what was advertised

We loved our stay at the jungle house. It had plenty of space to spread out in for a family. We loved the open airy feel to it and listening to the frogs 'peeping' at night. We had lots of laughs playing a board game we'd never played before and there were more we didn't get to. It was close to the hot pools, great scenic drives and volcano national park. And after our big days we could come back and relax in a great hot bath. Really really good. Good TV and plenty of comfy nooks for reading. I wish we could have stayed longer!! Thank you Bridget and Noelle

The house and the surrounding grounds are lush and beautiful. The bedrooms were both comfortable, and far enough apart to afford plenty of privacy, even with two families staying in the house. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and accommodating, and answered our questions and concerns promptly and thoroughly throughout our stay. The downstairs bathtub is AWESOME! Nothing like taking a bath in the jungle early in the morning :) The fact that all of the "windows" are just screens means the house stays cooler than other buildings on hot days, and the sounds of birds or frogs are always audible. The kitchen was well-equipped - we cooked for ourselves most meals, and even had a bbq one night, and found everything we needed. We will absolutely be back on our next trip to the island; our stay was fun and relaxing and left us wishing we could stay forever!

Tropical Treehouse

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful tropical house set amongst beautiful foliage and gardens, nicely furnished and comfortable, master bedroom with comfy bed looks out into the lovely gardens and the trade winds flow thru the house, all the windows are open and screened, which lets the breezes in, I personally like the big soaking tub after a long day it was nice to have a nice bubble bath and listen to the sounds of the rainforest and relax, there is good internet and cable tv and everything in the kitchen you could need, you will need to bring your own condiments and goodies to eat. Leilanin Estates is a lovely neighborhood, close to volcano flow, Hilo and volcano national park. Hope to come back soon, thank you for sharing your home.

What an amazing house!

  • 5 of 5

This is really a cool house. The upstairs is very open, and all the walls are screened for a beautiful jungle view. You are on a paved road with easy access but you are also in the middle of a rain forest. We enjoyed our stay here so much! I highly recommend. It's just a few minutes to Pahoa, and about 15 minutes to Uncle Roberts or the lava flow.
