The area is beautiful, the cabin is just ok.

  • 3 of 5

It snowed the day that we arrived, so I'm glad we drove an SUV or we would not have made it to the cabin. The cabin itself is tiny. We reserved it for 5 adults and while there was a futon in the living room, there was not an extra set of bedding for that. We had to use throw blankets and a pillow from one of the beds for the person sleeping on the futon. When we went to use the plates the next morning, they had dried-on food on them (all 5 of them). We ended up washing them (and the mugs) before we could enjoy our breakfast. Then the instructions in the cabin tell you to take out all the trash and clean all of the dishes before you leave, so that was annoying. I've stayed in VRBOs before where you have to load the dishwasher or something, but handwashing all the dishes you use seems like it should be covered in the $100 cleaning fee that you pay (especially when I had to wash them upon arrival. I contacted the owner about the dirty dishes and uncleanliness of the cabin, but was not refunded my cleaning fee (or even given a discount on the fee), which I thought would be a fair solution. I would not stay here again and I definitely do not recommend this place for more than 2 or 3 adults...it is just too small.

Owner's Response: Dear Joanna Thank you so much for writing a review and sharing your personal experience. I do apologize again about the condition the last guest may of left the dishes. We do take pride in our home and in the cleanliness of it. So since your complaint, we now check all the dishes on the shelf to be sure they are clean. We do thank you for bringing that to our attention as we want the dishes to be as clean and tidy as the rest of the home. I do not recall you saying the cabin it self was dirty. Also the reason we ask quest to take out their own trash to cans on back porch is so it does not smell up house and attract ants or bugs. We also have added extra pillows, blankets and linen to the closet for those who bring extra guest. Thank you again for your feed back as it allows us to improve the experience.

Great place away from it all!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay at this cute little cabin! The place was so clean and neat and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals. The road to the cabin is very rough, if you are staying in the winter or when it's raining, you have to have a 4x4 to be able to get to and from the cabin. The TV, Direct TV and DVD player never worked during our stay and I reached out to the owner but never got a response. Typically, that would not have been a big deal, but a big snow storm hit the night we got there and we spent much more time in the cabin than we planned, so to be able to watch a movie or check the news would have been nice. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars, but other than that, this place is awesome and we would come back and stay again in a heartbeat.

Owner's Response: Dear Rachael, Thank you for taking time to write a review, We are glad you really loved our place and I do apologize that the dvd player and direct tv were not working during your stay due to unconnected wires. . As I mentioned in the email I sent you, I did come up and check out the situation, it appears that the storm affected the direct tv. And for some reason the HDMI cable was missing from the dvd player to TV. I did just reconnect a new HDMI cable from the DVD player to the TV and the DVD player is working as it should. The internet was also working as it should, I am sorry for the inconvenience . I will add this information to the binder in the home. We do hope you return, Thank you Rebecca

Enjoyable, Relaxing, Peaceful, Memorable

  • 5 of 5

Rebecca -

What an amazing weekend staying at the "Lil Pine". Our family of 5 made wonderful memories here. As soon as we opened the door we were pleased with how clean everything was. It had everything we needed to make meals and food prep a breeze. The views are spectacular. The night sky - breathtaking. My 13 year old said "wow, is that the milky-way" - I had forgotten how amazing the night sky is. We sat out and stargazed every night. The cabin shows pride of ownership. The disk golf was such a wonderful surprise and the kids played for hours. The horseshoe pit brought a lot of fun and laughter for my wife and I. The outdoor grille worked fantastic and it was super clean too. To top off the whole weekend we saw a deer as we were leaving - wonderful memories made here.

Rebecca, your attention to detail, your communication and instructions, your pride of ownership in this place puts you at the top! Thank you for sharing your "Lil Pine Cabin" with us - The Boyds (Dan, Nichole, Skyler, Brooke and Braydan) and our Golden Doodle and little mutt too

Great weekend get away

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time staying in Prescott. It was everything we hoped it would be. The cabin was clean & had plenty of room.

The outdoor area was very enjoyable with a table for meals or just relaxing. The WiFi was always strong for staying connected.

The TV reception was off & on due to the weather. The views were beautiful & peaceful.

We look forward to staying again.

Left the valley heat behind !!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our goal was to rent a place in the mountains, get out of the heat, see nature close up and relax. ALL OUR GOALS WERE MET! This was our fist experience with using VRBO to rent a vacation spot, with this great adventure we will be back here and will use VRBO again. Booking was easy, Rebecca was VERY easy to reach and she was helpful when we got lost on the road up to the cabin. On the road up, It was pouring down rain, spotty cell service, but she quickly texted and called us back to guide us to the door. Once here, we were met with all the amenities that were promised in the listing. This cabin is off the grid, yet still connected if you wanted to be. The WIFi and Direct TV kept you in touch if you wanted. We hung out on the back deck most days, watching some beautiful storms come in, Deer strolled in, squirrels come by and the local birds of all kinds flew in to say hello. Inside the cabin is very comfy and the kitchen is modern and FULLY stocked, and the bed was cozy. As we packed up to leave, we knew we would be back. Thanks to Rebecca, for making our July vacation one to remember!!!
