About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Very nice cottage. Plenty of towels, dishes, etc. A few light bulbs were out and the electrical sockets need upgraded but over all a nice place. We had access to the hot tub but did not use, looked in good shape. Nice access to grassy back yard over looking the bay, nice view.
Ran across a couple of deer on the access road to the property. Pet friendly a plus. Directions were spot on.
Would not stay at this property again.

The furniture was surprisingly uncomfortable, except the patio furniture outside. No oven, electrical issues with breakers tripping if you turn up the heaters, no dvd player, fridge drips water on the right side, gas fireplace turns off several times before it will stay on, bedrooms stay very well lit from light across the driveway all night long.

When a two-night weekend costs $430 and this much is wrong with the place you rent, it is not the advertised hassle-free getaway you thought you were buying and I feel more than a $60 credit would be appropriate.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to see this guest was disappointed with their experience. We have hooked up the DVD players for the home, the fireplace and heaters both appear to be functioning as they should, and we are actively working on the fridge. We apologize if the lack of oven came as a surprise;. we do mention in the description of the home that is is a convection oven offered. Thank you!

Ok Guest House

 • 1 of 5

We were very disappointed with the Guest House during our stay over Christmas. Upon arrival there was a very strong odor when we entered and I would describe as urine. We believe the smell originated from around the stack washer/dryer. We had to keep doors open the entire time we were there to keep the home ventilated to remove the smell. We found the house keeping to be poor. Hair in the beds, dishes had to be hand washed prior to use because they were dirty, cobwebs throughout, concrete and driveway were covered with pine needles which had to be swept away to keep them out of the unit. The hot tub did not have a lift and was difficult to put the cover back on. The steps down to the bay are very dangerous. We rented 2 movies that we could not watch due to the fact that both DVD players did not work. The Wifi does not work and with our phone carrier we could not access the internet at this location. The couch currently in the unit is not the one shown in the pictures. The couch is a hide a bed and is not comfortable. We found one of the dining table chairs to be in disrepair and dangerous. The outside motion lights did not work making night time walking more precarious. Vacassa did not address the odor smell. The overall location and setting is nice, but the owner needs to provide some TLC to this unit to bring it back up to acceptable standards.

Nice home, amenities are not as stated

 • 3 of 5

The home itself is nice. It's cute, as represented. The washer and dryer are nice clean units. I would recommend bringing basic seasonings, as the moisture causes the ones in the home to be unusable. I feel that the shared driveway should also be disclosed upfront. Parking and navigating were fine until others arrived to use the other homes. I wish the hot tub situation had been better disclosed. I feel that if I had known that the hot tub was shared, I would have kept looking. I paid a $40 fee for a shared hot tub. Further, the path down to the bay is dangerous. It needs to be fixed.

Quiet and secluded

 • 4 of 5

Had everything we needed in a Thanksgiving getaway (did not cook at home). 4 stars as bay/water access was not as easy as pictures make it look.
