Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
A wonderful week in a lovely cottage
The cottage was in a lovely spot, very private but just off the road. A very pretty walk along a footpath in the fields to Zennor where we enjoyed meals at both the Tinners Arms and the cafe close by - both well worth a visit. The cliff walks in this area are wonderful with breathtaking views.
The cottage itself was very well maintained and equipped and the welcome ‘gifts’ were an added bonus. The garden was extremely pretty and ‘The Shack’ was lovely to sit in during the evening and enjoy a glass of wine.
The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend it.
Peaceful and rural
Lovely quiet place to stay for a week. Close to cliff top walks and the local pubs and restaurants
A cosy haven
We had the most terrific gales for our entire stay, but that didn’t stop us braving the coastal path. Oh the delight of getting back to Old Boswednack afterwards! Warm, a lovely fire, pretty and clean. We loved our stay and so did the dogs
Good place. Useful extra den for playing chess / talking.
facilities good. Great location, just lacked a view.
A Little bit of paradise !!
Well what can we say , when we arrived we were reeeelllly pleased to see everything was as it is on the website (perfect) nice and quite lovely location, and of course the weather helped. It really was home from home and Oli our little dog was in his eliminate in the garden it is very safe and really dog escape proof lol. We didn't,want to leave and have now booked for the same time next year.anyone who stays here will be very lucky as it is really is fabulous. Can't wait for next year . Thanks Sam for a beautiful location X
Property lovely, however we mistakenly put the neighbours bin out rather than ours, which resulted in the neighbour storming round to the house, leaving the gate open and letting our little dog out onto the road.
We resolved this with the neighbour and managed to get our dog in unharmed, however the next morning the side gate to the garden was mysteriously open which we hadn't been through therefore we spent the rest of the holiday barricading ourselves in for fear of our dog getting out again.
Property is on a tourist bus road and on two occasions we got pinned to the edge of the road when walking the dog , sadly you have to walk along the road before you can access any dog walks.
Ok holiday spot if you don't have dogs or children.
Thank you for your review and again, as I said at the time, I am so sorry for the experience you had with the neighbour who is particular about her bin. We do ask very clearly that guests put Old Boswednack's bin out and it is covered in white paint marks to make it stand out from the rest, it is also on Old Boswednack's parking area which should have made it clear too. This does not excuse the erratic behaviour of the neighbour and this is why we make a point in asking guests not to antagonise her by taking her bin.
I think it a little unfair to generalise and say that Old Boswednack is not suitable for people staying with dogs and children as we have had many who have stayed and thoroughly enjoyed themselves and not made the same comment. I believe your holiday got tainted by your experience and that is highlighted by the fact it's the first thing you mention.
We contacted the neighbour immediately after we found out from the housekeeper who you had emailed so we did everything we could to ensure she was aware of your upset.
We appreciate your views and am sorry again for the bad experience you had.
