Wonderful location, very responsive and friendly hosts- Comfortable and cozy house

  • 5 of 5

Owners are across the road and responded right away when we had problems with the tv, replacing it the next am. Welcomed us with fresh cupcakes. The location of the house couldn't have been more ideal given our interest in the civil war. Nice and comfortable house. Good experience all around.

Beautiful, very clean, peaceful, and private

  • 5 of 5

This stay was wonderful. We spent a graduation weekend at Peaceful Meadows. We arrived to a beautifully private and peaceful setting surrounded by wide-open expanses. We went inside and were greeted with a very clean place and cupcakes.:) We enjoyed eating on the quiet back deck as cows roamed in a field behind the property. The place was nicely decorated and well-furnished. The layout was a little on the challenging side because the one bathroom is located in the master bedroom and another bedroom was without a door; but, we were all family and it did not pose too much of an issue. The place and the hosts were gracious enough to even allow for a small graduation celebration gathering. Before heading out, we were able to hit several nearby historical sites, which were literally neighbors with the property and everything you might need was an easy drive away even though you feel as if you are way out in the country. Our hosts, the Morris family, were great in many ways; however, after returning home, our hosts went above and beyond to mail us a local paper featuring many of the graduation highlights! For our first time visiting a VBRO home, this was a very, very good experience. Should we need another place for area graduation festivities, we will very likely contact the Morris family! Thank you!!!!

Quiet, clean, great stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I booked this property for a wedding we attended in Appomattox. While the bathroom is located in one of the rooms, the place was great! It was in a nice area and the space was clean. My Sister in-law, her husband, and my brother in-law all stayed here and all enjoyed the stay. The house is well taken care of and the washing machine and dryer to use was another added bonus for us! Check in/out was easy and communication was never an issue. There is basic dishware there for your needs, games, and even sightseeing pamphlets and magazines were there for us. Would stay again if in the area!

Perfect vacation home. Comfortable, modern and convenient location.

  • 5 of 5

I had the pleasure of staying at Peaceful Meadows with my daughter and her two boys, ages 22 months and 4 years. We were treated more like family coming for a visit rather than strangers in a rental. Treats were waiting for us upon arrival and knowing that children would be with us the owners provided books, games, and other toys to help keep them occupied. Mrs. Morris came by the first afternoon to welcome us and see if we had any questions. The property description was very accurate. The house is clean, modern and comfortable. The rooms are large and we had everything we needed. It sits well away from the road so the boys had plenty of room to run around safely. We were given access to the pond across the road where we caught several fish. The property is away from the hustle and bustle of the city but very conveniently located to shopping and other areas of interest. There's quite a bit of history just minutes away. My entire experience with this rental and the owners has been great. I received prompt replies to my emails and my questions were always fully answered. Since we were traveling with children, the flexible times for check-in/check-out was very convenient. This is a great "home away from home" for all ages and I will definitely use this home again if we return back to the area. I have already recommended it to friends and family.

Mrs. Morris was remarklable to work with from start to finish. We were in the area for our Family Reunion that was being held in Rustburg. The house had everything that you could ask for (we especially enjoyed the gas grill). During one of our conversations I had asked her if they had a blender.. She stated No they didn't and noone had ever asked. Low and behold when we got there on Saturday Mrs. Morris had provided a blender. It might have beem a small thing.. But it says alot about her, willing to go the extra mile. The childrens room was a nice little touch too (my nephew and I enjoyed connect four). My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves and already have told Mrs. Morris that we will be back next year for our Family Reunion.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We recently dropped our daughter off to Liberty University and my husband had a speaking engagement in Victoria, VA, so we stayed at this home that is located adjacent to the Appomattox Historical Park. The owners made us feel extremely welcome. They even set up a new bedroom for our 7-year old and included coloring book, toys, books, and games! They also own a rental property across the street that has a stocked pond and they welcomed us to fish there. While in the area, we toured the Appomattox Military park and the Sailor's Creek battlefield. The location is about 25 minutes from Liberty University and the house is immaculate. The owner's even left cupcakes in the refrigerator to welcome us! We will definitely be returning when we travel to the area to see our daughter!
