About Cathy Calametti

I have lived in this area for over 45 years and love the beaches of gulf shores and the surrounding area. My children are grown now and we don't get as many opportunities to get together as a family as we once did, so i have decided to let other families enjoy my condo and, hopefully, build some of the lasting memories my family has.

Cathy Calametti purchased this condo in 1997

Why Cathy Calametti chose Gulf Shores

When purchasing this property, I chose this particular unit for many reasons. Both bedrooms and the living area open to a large balcony that overlooks one of the two large Olympic size pools available in the complex. My building is also located on the lagoon, so it is another option just a few steps from the building entrance. A gazebo with grilling facilities is located right by my building. Also, beach access for the complex is located directly across from my building and just a few more steps away.

Nice place!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the sea oats! The whole condo was super clean, the kitchen, bathrooms, and the outside parking area and pools too! The kitchen had the essential cooking supplies. We had easy access to the bay and short walk across the street to the beach! The owner was very helpful and always replied to any questions we had within the hour! We hope to return again next year!

Wonderful condo!

  • 5 of 5

We had a rough week for our vacation, as tropical storm Cindy hit day two, and the water was closed the remainder of our trip, however we had a great time and the place was lovely!

Nothing But Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We just got home from a wonderful 2 week vacation to Gulf Shores! When we arrived at the condo, the full-time maintenance men greeted us and showed us the stairs to get up to the unit. The were so nice and helpful with several small questions during our stay. To get to the unit you have to walk up stairs to the 2nd floor. This wasn't difficult for us at all but be aware that there is no elevator in this complex. Any average person will easily get up and down the stairs but someone in a wheel chair, crutches etc. would have a difficult time.

We found the lock box right at the door to the unit. The complex and unit were probably the cleanest that we have ever stayed in throughout our 40 plus years of going to Gulf Shores and we have stayed in units that are triple the price of this one. The balcony is spacious and overlooks one of the pools that is cleaned and well maintained by the workers. We enjoyed many hours sitting and relaxing there in the mornings and evenings.

The condo is so quiet. We never heard any neighbors while we were there and there were renters next door to us. The kitchen is appropriately stocked with pots, pans and dishes for you to use if you want to cook which we did often.

During our stay, it rained (gully washing with thunder and lightening) almost everyday. This forced us to visit some places other than the beach. We went to Fort Morgan (highly recommend!) and had lunch at Tacky Jacks II on Fort Morgan Road (yuck). Another day we took a helicopter tour using a groupon that we purchased for Lost Bay tours. This was phenomenal and I highly recommend doing it! The owners are recently retired military veterans that used their GI bills to start this business!! They were awesome!

We also found a day to take the ferry over to Dauphin Island and visited Fort Gaines and the Dauphin Island Eustuarium. We loved it! We left the condo at 7 that morning and arrived in plenty of time to be on the first ferry. We took our vehicle but both attractions are an easy walk from the ferry. On another day we visited the State Park, rented bikes and rode them on the Hugh Branyon Back Country Trail. We have done this many times before but they recently expanded the trail. We were NOT READY for a 6 mile bike ride but it was still fun and cheap! I recommend visiting the zoo and doing the animal encounters.

Dinner recommendations: Oyster House, Shipp's Harbour Grill, The Gulf Shores Steamer and Doc's in Orange Beach!

Very Comfortable, Clean, with perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four which included 18 & 24 year old boys stayed during Fourth of July weekend and it was perfect!

Condo was so clean with comfortable beds and seating. You can walk across street to the ocean or choose to stay at the pools. We were able to fish from pier on property. We bought fresh seafood and used grill at pier. Condo has plenty of kitchen supplies to do this. Everything was in working condition.

Even though it was a holiday weekend, it wasn't noisy surroundings. Away from the mainstream traffic which was fine with us. Would definitely consider staying again. Property owner is so nice, very responsive to any questions and willing to help.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 8 nights in this very nice condo that had all the amenities of home. Everything was clean and decorated very nice. The beds and the furniture were very comfortable. My family enjoyed fishing off the dock out back, grilling out with friends and just a short walk to the beach. This condo is in a great location and correspondence with the owner was great. We'd definitely rent again. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Quaint comfy condo

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Oats during spring break. Our family of 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) slept comfortably and the condo was clean upon arrival. The first two days it rained really hard, but the condo was so comfy cozy we enjoyed our family time hanging out inside. The beach access is just across the street and not a far walk. We enjoyed strolling down Beach Boulevard to view the cute houses along the street, which wasn't very busy. We also toured the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Florida (not a far drive.) We even went to Easter service at the First Baptist church in town. Gulf Shores Alabama was a great vacation destination and we would definitely stay at this condo again. Thanks!
