2 Bedroom 1 Bath with Kitchen, Dining and Family Living Area
Our guest cabin is newly finished and has two bedrooms (1 queen bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom) to sleep 4 comfortably. This charming cabin has a private entrance and a small private deck so you can sit outside and watch the sun rise, enjoy the stars at night or simply have a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or a book. We have a well equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave and small refrigerator. There is a brand new 3/4 bathroom, and a small family area for relaxing, watching TV or playing a game. All appiances are new.
The cabin is at loft level, so there are stairs to climb for access, but that improves the view of the lake! You will have access to use of our dock and canoe. You can bring your own boat or rent one in Longville. The public boat launch is only 1 minute away. There is a fire pit for you to sit and enjoy the stars, look for fireflies and listen to the loons while roasting marshmallows. Your children can catch a sunny, bass or blue gill right from the dock. We also have eagles, heron and beavers who are frequent visitors to our shoreline.
Girl Lake is a small lake with access to the larger Woman Lake. On any given day you will see people on Girl Lake taking a leisurely cruise on their pontoon, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, sailing, tubing or jet skiing. Many of these items are available to rent from Musky House Marine in Longville.
We think this is the perfect place for your family to come and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle. The owners are onsite and do have a dog (a yellow lab). The owner's dog is the only pet permitted on the property.

About Dee Kobi
Our family is originally from Rochester, Minnesota. We moved to Longville after retirement in 2004. We really enjoy the community and surrounding area. In 2014 we decided to open our guest cabin so others could share the experience.
Dee Kobi purchased this Studio in 2004
Why Dee Kobi chose Kego
Papa Kobi was born in Hackensack and always wanted to return to the area so when he retired the lakehome search began. We chose this home because of the town with a clinic, library, grocery store and unique shopping. We fell in love with the home because of its large yard for the grandkids to play, the quiet setting and the ample indoor space.
What makes this Studio unique
We are within walking distance to town but have a peaceful, quiet setting.

Very peaceful, fun and relaxing
I have stayed in this charming cabin more than once and found it to be a really nice getaway from the big city. I love listening to the frogs and loons at night and watching the stars from the deck.
This is a great option for someone wanting a place to simply be quiet or a place to use as a jumping off point to all the activities and attractions in the area. Very clean, quiet and cozy. The lake is also a nice size -- can fish or water ski or kayak .... I would -- and have recommended this to friends.
Longville, Minnesota---a little town with a lot to offer! Longville is the perfect place to come and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. When you think about Longville, think Mayberry! Longville is famous for it's Turtle Races--held every Wednesday and a family tradition for decades. The turtle races are a huge attraction and have a carnival like feel to them--you can play games, eat summer treats and win prizes while spending the afternoon in town. This is the perfect spot for a getaway and a place where you can make some wonderful family memories. Longville is located on Girl Lake, which is part of the Woman Lake Chain. If you like to fish--the area is chock full of lakes of all sizes. You can fish a different lake every day if you'd like! The area also offers great golfing, many scenic bike trails and opportunities for all sorts of shopping and antiqueing. If you like to get dirty and want to take your ATV out for a ride through the woods, there are lots of trails available for you too. If you need to do laundry, Longville has a full laundromat in town. Longville is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive from our cabin. Once in Longville, there is plenty to do. You can meet friends and have a cup of coffee or dinner at one of the restaurants. You can stroll down Main Street and do some shopping, get a bit of fudge, or stop by the library to borrow a book or a movie. If you are in need of bait or desire to rent a kayak or boat, it's all available in Longville. There are also several specialty shops where you can buy unique souvenirs to take home. Longville also has a fun mini golf course complete with a water balloon battle area-it's a great way to cool off on a hot summer day. At the end of a long day on the boat or before calling it a day, we highly recommend a stop at Frosty's for some delicious ice cream or pizza. You can dock at the community boat access and enjoy dinner at Patrick's in Longville or enjoy one of the many dining options in the area. If you want to explore the area a bit, Longville is about a half hour drive east from Leech Lake and Walker. We are one hour north of Brainerd and about an hour southeast of Bemidji (home of Paul Bunyan). The area is surrounded by State Parks and National Forests (including Itasca and Chippewa). Longville is 2 hours west of Duluth-another beautiful area to explore during your stay.
