A peaceful paradise
A detached, well equipped holiday cottage set in a secluded, beautiful lake and garden.
We are delighted you had a peaceful stay at The Boathouse, and enjoyed the gardens. Thank you for leaving the cottage spick and span! It was a great pleasure to meet you, and we hope to see you again!
Peace and quiet
We had a truly lovely holiday. The cottage was so welcoming with the tea tray set and home made cake waiting for us. Phillippa and Steve were most welcoming and do helpful. We saw some lovely places on the Isle of Wight, and everywhere we went was so clean and typically English with fish and chips on the beach to cream teas in the beautiful gardens. The beaches were all so lovely bringing back child hood memories of bucket and spade holidays. Thank you, can't wait to visit again for some more exploring.
So pleased you loved the Island and the Boathouse! It was a pleasure to have you here, and you are welcome back anytime for that return visit!
A Great Find
Was warmley welcomed by Philippa and Steve. A wonderful home made cake and homemade apple juice as well. You can walk around the gardens any time you wished. Very peaceful surroundings and very beautiful. The accomodation had everything we needed with helpful instructions of how everything worked. Truly a home from home. Thank you Philippa and Steve again for making us feel so welcome in your lovely award winning garden and beautiful accomodation.
It was good to have you both here — wonderful to see you enjoying the garden in the sunshine! The cottage was left sparkling clean — for which much thanks!
You are welcome here any time !
Out of this would
We had such a warm, welcome, with home make cake & a bottle of apple Juice grown from there own gardens.
We, me and dad who is (87) had a wonderful time, in the boat house, the gardens & the views are out of this world. We was made very welcome by Phillippa & Stephen Lambert. Phillippa showed us around, she said if we needed just to let her know. The next morning phillipa come out to us to make everything was ok for us & if we needed anything, but we didn't as all our needs had been coved. Thank you for a lovely time.
kind regards Lesley Brinton,& Alexander ( Stan )
Such lovely comments! We are thrilled that you all had a great stay in The Boathouse. Thank you so much for leaving the cottage sparkling — you are welcome back any time!
Set in beautiful gardens, this peaceful barn is away from it all, so after a busy day out, you have a relaxing home to come back to, the barn is very well equipped and comfortable, Steve and Phillippa are very helpful and nothing is to much trouble .
It was a delight to have you both stay in The Boathouse, and thank you for your appreciative review. Hope to see you again soon!
Tranquil setting, good facilities, helpful owners.
Peaceful location on the Undercliff, on a by-road, so no noisy traffic.
Beautiful gardens surrounding the cottage, which was well-appointed.
Not a great location for techies, no WiFi and limited TV coverage, but if you can plan your holiday experience before arriving, then this isn't so bad.
Owners are happy to help.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, finding The Boathouse peaceful and the gardens beautiful.
It is quite correct to say there is no internet connection at The Boathouse — a feature that many busy people welcome when coming away for a quiet break — and this is clearly mentioned in the listing. About 100 yards up the road out of the Undercliff everything 'works' however!
I am puzzled by the reference to 'limited TV coverage', as this is completely incorrect. The Boathouse has a satellite dish and Sky box which receives an excellent signal for all usual 'freeview' channels — BBC1 BBC2 ITV etc etc. , so all favourite telly is completely available all times!
