What an amazing stay in Novigrad!
I stayed with my wife and 8 other relatives for 6 nights in April and we all had a wonderful time! The home is perfect and has every convenience with views of the water that are stunning. The pictures help but you really need to see the home to believe how nice it is. Also be sure to try the nearby Konoba Kristijana restaurant, talk to the waiter Ivan, and ask him for tickets to a cruise on the Malek! Also, taking a walk along the waterfront at sunset can't be beat! The only problem was that we didn't want to leave! 6 nights is not enough time!
Heaven for all seanses!
If you want to relax all your senses, have your holidays here. The huge rooftop terrase with a 360 view and the in- house dinners were enough not make you never live the place!
The sauna with the window wall is also one of the highlits ot the house!
Well done to the owners...great house, well deserved 5 stars!!!
Novigrad is located on the Western coast of Istria, two kilometres north from the mouth of the river Mirna and about 20 kilometres south from the borders with Slovenia and Italy. The town has not only a rich cultural heritage and preserved natural beauty but also it is an architectural jewel filled with astonishing historical sites. One example of Novigrad’s rich history is the famous city walls that have embraced and protected Novigrad for centuries. Novigrad is also one of the top Istrian gourmet destinations where one can taste many gastronomic pleasures of the Mediterranean food. A series of culinary events are held in Novigrad throughout the summer months where visitors can try traditional dishes made from scallops and other Adriatic shellfish as well as indiginous istrian specialities such as Prosciutto (dried Istrian ham) and the world famous Istrian Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
When it comes to sport, the Novigrad region is definitely the number one tennis destination in Croatia and the Mediterranean. The most popular tennis tournament ATP Croatia Open Umag is held here every year in July.
Cycling and mountain biking are very popular too, there are more than 500km of bicycle trails designed to help visitors discover forests and streams, konobas and vine cellars, hidden chapels and ancient ruins of the region. A unique attraction, only 5 km away, the “Istralandia” aquapark (81 000 m2) open since 2014.
