About the property

3 Bed, 2.5 Bath Log Cabin, Fully Furnished & Pet Friendly

This beautiful log cabin 'home away from home' sits in a quiet, secluded setting but is just minutes from U.S. Highway 51 and centrally located between Minocqua, Rhinelander and Tomahawk. The cabin will comfortably sleep eight guests. The master bedroom has a king bed, the other two bedrooms have a queen bed, and the living room includes a queen-size sofa sleeper.

The spacious kitchen has everything you will need: dishes, stemware, cookware, bakeware, utensils, towels, dish cloths, hot pads and appliances (gas cooktop, double oven, warming drawer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, crock pot and toaster). A comfortable dining area has seating for eight. Bedrooms include dressers, night stands and plenty of closet space. Bedding, linens, bath towels, and hair dryers are provided for your use as well. And you'll love the 2 1/2-car attached, heated garage!

Bring your friends and family for an escape from the daily pressures. If you're feeling ambitious, spend the day enjoying the great outdoors on 516 acres of land! The property has over 6 miles of trails to hike, bike, ride ATV's, cross-country ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile and adjoins the Bearskin State Trail / Hiawatha Trail which connects with hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails and stretches from Minocqua to Tomahawk. Or try your hand at trout fishing in the Bearskin Creek a short distance from the back door. Visit one of the surrounding towns for additional recreational activities, shopping, dining and entertainment.

If you would prefer to close out the world, stay inside and relax in front of the magnificent stone, wood-burning fireplace or cozy up on the front porch and watch the clouds go by.

Why Wendy Van Dyke chose Northeast

This property was purchased after the owner, a long-time family friend and business associate, passed away, and holds great sentimental value! It is in the heart of the northwoods of Wisconsin with endless outdoor activities, yet with the feel of your own piece of tranquility and solitude, perfect for getting away from the daily hustle and bustle of life. It sits on over 500 acres of land known as Rondele Ranch, an upscale event venue for corporate retreats, weddings, and other special events.

Dream of a home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't be happier with the property. Conveniently located. Easy access with the motorcycles. Garage an added plus and the 6 of us had plenty of room around the dining room table and living room area. Wendy and Terry a dream to work with. Hope to rent here again.

My family and I have a wonderful stay.

  • 5 of 5

We love the lodge. Everything was in great shape. From the beds and bedrooms & bathrooms, to the family room and kitchen, everything was top notch. Terry was thoughtful and helpful. His suggestions for activities was spot on. We love the trees that surround the lodge and found some nice hiking trails. We spent some nice quiet time on the long enclosed from porch, enjoying the scenery. The only upgrade I would make is that the TV needs to be bigger, and perhaps a dvd player that also plays blue ray.

We are looking forward to a return visit.

The best experience ever! The staff was excellent. The lodge was perfect! Immaculate accommodations. Peaceful location. Plenty of room for a family. Lots of things to do in the area. If you are looking for a vacation spot, I highly recommend the "Elk Lodge" in Harshaw, Wisconsin. We will definitely be back!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

A group of us stayed for the Tomahawk Fall Ride, and although we didn't spend a great deal of time at the cabin, it was a wonderful place to return to at the end of the day. The cabin is peaceful, clean, and comfortable (not to mention beautiful). I really appreciated the fireplace on a chilly night, too. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, blow dryer, etc.) are well stocked, as is the kitchen with pots/pans, dishes and any other utensils you'd need to prepare meals. The cabin is also in a great location; easy access to Tomahawk & Minocqua. It seems like this would be a great spot for ATV, snowmobile, and hiking fanatics as well. I noticed trails coming directly off of the back of the property. Booking was super easy, and Wendy or Terry were always more than willing to answer any questions promptly. All in all, I was more than happy with out stay & I hope to return with my family next summer to check out those trails. Thanks for a great weekend!

Owner's Response: Wonderful! I'm so pleased you and your guests enjoyed your stay, and I trust that the Fall Ride was a great time as well! You are correct, Angel, there are miles and miles of beautiful wooded trails on the property for ATV riding and snowmobiling. You can even access the Bearskin State Trail from the property by snowmobile (ATV's are not allowed on the State Trail), and from there connect with hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails. Come on back and explore - we'd love to have you!

Breathtaking :)

My weekend getaway was just phenomenal. I love the cabin. It was so gorgeous and clean. They have everything and all I need was just my tooth paste, tooth brush, and clothes. The house was so cozy and warm. It just felt like home and welcoming. The trail and beach was fun and wonderful. We took a morning hike and it was just so peaceful and amazing. We didn't a chance to explore much, but just stay around the cabin and we all feel in love with the place. We would love to go back again. My family and I couldn't ask for a well better time spend with each other there. Thank you, again Wendy. It was truly a amazing and fun moments that we spend there. So many laughter and moments were create and kept. I would totally command this awesome place for anyone to spend time with either their family or friends.
