Prescott has an average of 275 days of sunshine per year and four mild seasons . The year-round activities have made it one of the top destinations in the Southwest. Prescott has been recognized as Arizona’s ‘official’ Christmas City so in December there are lots of fun things to do. You can be a part of the many people who stroll around the square to listen to the free, live, local music featured in every downtown shop for Acker night. A music festival like no other! In addition, you won't want to miss the spectacular tree lighting on the Courthouse Square and our Electric Light Parade. There are dozens of antique shops, boutiques, stunning art galleries, and restaurants. Enjoy the nightlife of Whiskey Row, as well as 3 live performance centers: The fully restored Elk's Opera House (c1915), the Prescott Center for the Arts, and Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.
There are also many golf courses in the area, including the breath-taking Hassayampa Golf Club; a Tom Wieskopf signature course.
Prescott is also known for the World’s Oldest Rodeo in July, the Prescott Bluegrass Festival in June, dozens of arts and craft shows (some juried), and the Cowboy Poets Gathering.

About Mark and Laurie Temple
Hello! My name is Mark and my wife, Laurie, and I bought this property in February 2015 and just recently starting managing it ourselves. I grew up in Prescott just down the street on Mt Vernon Ave. and used to deliver newspapers on this street! Laurie and I have been raising our 2 boys in this beautiful little town and now have one who just graduated from U of A and one at Prescott High School. Even though I graduated from ASU and the schools are big rivals here in Arizona I really enjoy rooting for my son's school too! We love Prescott and since we have been here for so many years we have insider info of the area and can help with most everything. The people here are wonderful and there is always something happening. I know you will enjoy your stay here and the many things Prescott has to offer!
Mark and Laurie Temple purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Mark and Laurie Temple chose Prescott
We purchased this property not just because it is located on the most historical street in Prescott but also because I grew up just down the block and have many fond memories of this area. Delivering newspapers, sledding and playing football in the street with the neighborhood kids. Everything that reminds me of a small town experience.
What makes this Cottage unique
What I love about this property is that it reminds me of a simpler time. Quiet, tree lined street where you can take a walk in the cool early mornings and evenings. A nice quiet area in the back that can be enjoyed by guests and their pups. Being close to the downtown area with lots of things to do and then being able to return back "home" to relax.

Comfortable place;Great Location
After mistakenly arriving a day earlier than my reservation, the owners promptly came to the property late at night to make sure I could check in early. Everything in the apartment was clean and functional, and the location is walking distance (10 minutes) to Whiskey Row. I will return.
Everything was meticulously clean. Lenins were like brand new. The kitchen was great.
Mark & Laurie were very nice. This place is a hidden gem.
Spacious and conveniently located. Clean and a well stocked kitchen. Will stay again!
Great weekend getaway!
My wife, 15 year old daughter, and I spent the weekend in Prescott to attend a volleyball tournament. This cottage worked out perfectly for us... plenty of room and all of the amenities one could ask for. The location is perfect... a short walk to Courthouse Square. South Mt Vernon Street is lined with historic Victorian homes... unlike any other street in Arizona. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to spend time in Prescott.

This property had everything that we needed. Just a couple blocks from downtown Prescott. The place was quaint very clean and had everything that we could ask for. We loved it and can't wait to come back!
Comfortable and Clean
We have stayed at two of Mark and Laurie's rentals, Birch and Aspen. We loved them both! They are very clean and comfortable. Mark and Laurie are great hosts. Laurie was always quick to get back to me, and very friendly and kind. We will be staying with them again!
