About Mark and Laurie Temple

Hello!

My name is Mark and my wife, Laurie, and I bought this property in February 2015 and just recently starting managing it ourselves. I grew up in Prescott just down the street on Mt Vernon Ave. and used to deliver newspapers on this street! Laurie and I have been raising our 2 boys in this beautiful little town and now have one at U of A and one at Prescott High School. Even though I graduated from ASU and the schools are big rivals here in Arizona I really enjoy rooting for my son's school too!

We love Prescott and since we have been here for so many years we have insider info of the area and can help with most everything. The people here are wonderful and there is always something happening.

I know you will enjoy your stay here and the many things Prescott has to offer!

Mark and Laurie Temple purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Mark and Laurie Temple chose Capital Territory & High Country

We purchased this property not just because it is located on the most historical street in Prescott but also because I grew up just down the block and have many fond memories of this area. Delivering newspapers, sledding and playing football in the street with the neighborhood kids. Everything that reminds me of a small town experience.

What makes this cottage unique

What I love about this property is that it reminds me of a simpler time. Quiet, tree lined street where you can take a walk in the cool early mornings and evenings. A nice quiet area in the back that can be enjoyed by guests and their pups. Being close to the downtown area with lots of things to do and then being able to return back "home" to relax.

It is a very cute cottage tucked away from the road. We will be back.

  • 4 of 5

We had a good experience overall. It did become quite warm during the day and there is not central air or a cooler in the window of the living room. There was only a cooler in the bedroom which was not sufficient to keep the cottage comfortable during the day. Other than that we were very happy with our stay. We really like the location. It is a well kept cottage and yard. We also liked the backyard that our dogs enjoyed. Miya is very friendly and responsive. We will be back.

Felt it could have been a bit cleaner.

You'll need to take care of the small black bugs in the kitchen area. And your shower really leaks.

Not quite right

  • 3 of 5

The positives of this cottage are location, size, parking and attentiveness of the manager. On the downside, the cottage needs a thorough cleaning. Their were bugs in some drawers, on the kitchen floor and in the carpet. The cottage was very warm, we asked for fans and the manger was quick to accommodate. The ad states the cottage has air conditioning, however ac wasn't installed until our 2nd night after we requested it.

Great fully stocked one bedroom

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for the long memorial weekend and thought it was great. The place was very clean, well stocked, wonderful features and loved the location since we walked to downtown every day. Would stay again but only 4 of 5 stars since the windows didn't all have screens and with NO AC we wanted to open them and it let bugs in.

Comfortable and attractive 1-bedroom apartment

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Prescott. The apartment was roomy, comfortable, attractive and quiet. The bed was great and all of the amenities were provided. The dogs were happy in the fenced back yard and we loved the walks around town. We would happily stay again. Thank you again to Miya who is always a gracious and accomodating.host.

Okay Stay

  • 3 of 5

We loved the location of this "cabin". The area was beautiful and we could walk to downtown Prescott. Unfortunately, the unit was not as clean & maintained as we would have hoped and towels were at a minimum. Upon contacting the property manager, we were told there was a new cleaning person involved and that the Unit would be checked. Unfortunately, it did not make our stay as comfortable as we would have liked.
