About Matthew and Monica Gross
We have traveled all over the world since we met online and married in 2007. Our family consists of five children, ages 20 to 29, one son-in-law, and a beautiful baby grand-daughter! We love these mountains so much we recently purchased our full time home just up the road from 'Trail's End' cabin.
Matthew and Monica Gross purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Matthew and Monica Gross chose Blue Ridge
In our travels, we often looked for possible retirement destinations but we always came back convinced that the North Georgia Mountains was the ideal location for us. Nothing beats this area when it comes to mild weather, outdoor activities, fine dining and shopping, and the relative proximity to the big city and our children. In particular we love Cherry Log Mountain because it is a cabin-only development crisscrossed by one of the South's most famous hiking trails, the Benton MacKaye Trail. Come and experience the area for yourself and we are sure you will agree there is no place like Blue Ridge and Cherry Log Mountain!

Very nice place ... would recommend to a friend ...
Thank you...y'all come back...
Best little retreat!
I was a little nervous with the drive up the mountain at first but the directions to the cabin were spot on. No problems once I just followed the directions and relaxed! It's only a few minutes from town but we still felt like we were on a retreat in the woods. The cabin was clean and organized, everything in great shape. The water pressure in the shower is better than most hotels I've stayed at! The firewood wouldn't light so I did buy a duraflame, which solved it. I would recommend the cabin to anyone who wants a hassle free getaway. This was the perfect place to get away from the grind for a few days and unwind! Thank you!
Thank you for your review!

great family getaway
overall, we loved this cabin. It was CLEAN & that's top of the list always. It had everything we needed & was very convenient. It was warm enough when we were cold & cool enough when we were warm. It was easy to find (directions were spot on). We liked the keyless entry. It was cozy for our family of 4 (parents & 2 teenagers) and pet friendly. Lots of clean towels, enough "starters" of soap, dishsoap, toilet paper, paper towels & garbage bags until you figure out how much you'll need to supplement. The "loft" was a cute idea but the ladder up is 90 degrees vertical so not easy to maneuver (but our kids are big so it wasn't an issue; they weren't interested). The cabin was very close to town, lots of things to do, lots of places to eat, convenient to grocery & shops. Everything is literally a short drive away but then the cabin still felt secluded enough to be "away from it all."
The only "down" side for us is the steep end-of-the-street location (hard to turn around for big car & definitely not advised to back out; turning around is a must). The woods around the house aren't conducive to exploring (but hardly the owner's fault).
Overall, it was peaceful & exactly as described. The owners were FANTASTIC at communicating. We wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at 'Trail's End' Cabin, and that you look forward to visiting with us again.
Great Get Away SPOT
Loved location and set up. Really enjoyed fireplace and logs in the evening. Unfortunately someone had left the bathroom wash basin stopped up and the washer/dryer closet door was off of its runner.
Was still worth the time spent at Trails End.
We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at 'Trail's End' Cabin. We have addressed the issues you mentioned and we thank you for your input. We hope you will consider our property again for your future travel plans.
Peaceful and relaxing! Everything you need in a cabin!
My husband and I had a great time here! Perfect cabin for our getaway from Florida! Definitely plan to revisit! Loved Blue Ridge! Recommend eating at Chesters downtown Blue Ridge.
We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at 'Trail's End' Cabin and that you will come back to Blue Ridge and to our cabin in the woods. Thanks!
The cabin was spotless! We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace one night. Spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying the view and the sounds. Would definitely go back to this cabin!
