My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this charming home with a stunning view in Homer, Alaska. There was more than enough room for our family, and we really enjoyed preparing food in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Washing dishes was a pleasure while staring at the panoramic views of the bay. The location was perfect as we felt "away from it all" up the hill from the main road (it was so nice and quiet), but still a very short trek back into town and the famous Homer Spit. I would recommend this home to other travelers. Gorgeous!
It's all true about the view, the view the view!!
The home is located a couple miles from Homer on the hill overlooking Homer Spit--it's very spacious to accommodate 8 adults. The kitchen was well stocked as was the entire house. The decor is from the 80's but well maintained and secondary to the view. Many guests have enjoyed this home. Homer is a cool fishing village with lots of shops restaurants and places to explore. We chartered a boat and went halibut fishing-a must do in Homer.
LOVE ALASKA-our 1st visit!!
PS: we tried to play music at the house-a turntable with great LPs but no speakers! No music available but tons of books and magazines about the area.
Also there are 2 apartments downstairs but the renters are locals and friendly and you would never know they are there-totally private quarters.
We were all happy with the location and accommodations, thanks Dan!!
We had 8 adults staying in this beautiful home.We were worried about the space but it was large enough to handle all of us.
Large kitchen & dining area and bedrooms. Loved the hiking trail near the house. We will have great memories of our time in Homer.
Fantastic stay at house in Homer
Almost everything about this house was perfect. The space was terrific. Very comfortable beds which is very important for us. The kitchen was very well stocked. But the most magnificent thing was our view. We loved sitting in the huge great room just to look out the window. The only issues were that the cable TV only had a few channels, not even the news channels. Also, the Wifi was not very strong and did not reach the bedrooms. I hated leaving Homer as this was truly the best accommodations we had during our 2 week stay in Alaska. Thank you, Daniel for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
Fantastic Va K
My family and I had a wonderful time, enjoyed the house very much. Everything was clean and well stocked. My one son wanted to buy all the paper goods when we shopped for groceries, but I told him no, it was all there. Thank you for letting this mom win one! We had a family friend accompany us this year and he is still talking about how great it was. My daughter in law (who finds it hard to relax), actually read a book--just for fun, and slept in!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us. No moose came to breakfast this year so we will have to come back for sure!
Great Base Camp
Great views, well appointed, close to everything. Lots of room to spread out after a day on the water. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking in.
