About Sarah Booth
The house has belonged to Sarah & David Booth for the last 17 years and they spend as much time as possible here to enjoy the peace and quiet, socialise with their local friends, enjoy traditional Provencal food and of course not forgetting the great local wine!
Sarah Booth purchased this House in 1999
Why Sarah Booth chose Callas
We fell in love with Place St. Pierre due to its quiet charm, stunning views from the terrace over the mountains and vineyards to the South and down to the sea in the distance, easy walk to the village with its bars and restaurants whilst situated in the heart of magnificent vineyards.
What makes this House unique
We have a passion for old buildings and it is believed to be around 900 years old, which we have lovingly restored.

The Perfect Provencal Village House
7 Place St Pierre is the perfect provencal village house. It has everything you could need for a wonderful holiday. We were made to feel very welcome by Liz who looks after the property and she kept in touch to make sure that all was well. The house itself has been recently refurbished to the highest standard with all modern facilities. There were a lot of personal touches too, the fresh lavender on our pillows and the chilled bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival to name a few. The highlight of the house is the terrace on the 3rd floor - with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside it's hard to tear yourself away.
The location of the house means that you can explore Callas easily. A walk to the boulangerie every morning for fresh croissants was a lovely way to start the day. There are 4 restaurants in the village and we tried and would recommend them all.
Callas is a great base to explore the Var region - the Gorge du Verdon, Lac Ste Croix, the hilltop villages, the local markets are all easily accessible - if you don't mind the narrow roads and hairpin bends! The streets in the village are very narrow so if you do take a car, make sure it's a small one.
We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful holiday in a beautiful house in a beautiful village in a beautiful part of France.
accueille agréable, vraiment vacances reposante, petit village charmant.
rien à dire à recommander
Callas is a pretty medieval Provencal village surrounded by many wonderful vineyards an ideal opportunity for some local wine tasting.
The village has a small grocery shop for all essential items, bakery, post office with 24hr banking, Newsagent, Tourist Office, a variety of good Provencal restaurants, Beauty Salon etc.
There is a delightful market in Callas square every Saturday morning selling local produce - a great time to take a coffee and people watch!. Alternatively there is a larger market in Le Muy on Sunday morning only a 15 minute drive from Callas or a little further afield visit the lovely market of Lorgues on a Tuesday a 35 minute drive.
Within 45 minutes you can be in the stylish resorts of St. Tropez, St. Maxime, Antibes or Cannes. The boat trip across the bay from St Maxime to St Tropez is fabulous and a must plus you avoid the traffic jams in the height of summer.
There is a choice of sandy beaches, the closest being at Frejus, St Aygulf or Les Issambres.
45mins North you'll discover the spectacular Gorge du Verdon, one of the most beautiful canyon's in Europe. It leads down to the beautiful Lac de St Croix offering watersports opportunities.
There are a variety of golf courses within an hour's drive including the highly rated Terre Blanche. The St Endreol Golf & Spa Resort only 15 minutes from the house and a wonderful place for lunch (don't forget to book).
In the winter if you want to combine a few days skiing into your holiday then a couple of hours drive will see you in the high altitude resort of Isola located in the Alpes Maritimes or Pra-Loup located in Alpes-de Haute-Provence.
Callas and the surrounding areas have so much to offer. We can help you with your planning as we have the wonderful Liz who looks after our house and she will be delighted to help you discover the real Provence. If you want to learn how to play Boules and meet the locals then Liz will show you the way!
Whatever you decide to do, hire a bike, take a beautiful walk, or simply sit and do nothing but drink in the quiet, the views and the wonderful local wines you will not be disappointed.
