The pictures do NOT represent the reality...and it is impossible to find with no help from owner
We were very excited to stay at this home, but we never heard from the owner about how to find and access this property until hours before...after considerable hounding from all of us! And it was very hard to find. What we did find in the apartment was nothing of what you see in the photos. The living room furniture would not even be accepted in a thrift store, and the beds werent much better. The springs were shot on most pieces making them unmanageable for sitting/sleeping. It is thankfully in a wonderful neighborhood, but the owner has let this place go. You would do better at many other properties in this wonderful city. Please note we are long-term users of VRBO (5 star rated), so we know what good quality properties look like. The owner needs to be mindful of this and at least be more honest and communicative.
beautifully located, great bathrooms and overall experience.
Great stay in a wonderful apartment
This is a very nice apartment, specious and well furnished. The bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen were all very comfortable, fully equipped and allowed everybody to enjoy both privacy and togetherness at all times. The location in the heart of Venice, enabled us to experience all of the city treasures by foot, days and nights.
Marie welcomed us upon arrival, gave us all the information needed and arranged our taxi to the airport early in the morning, which was very convenient and made a nice ending to our vacation.
Great location, very spacious.
We had four couples share this apartment for three days. Excellent location, only one floor up. Well-equipped kitchen for our breakfasts/snacks. Air-conditioned. Only suggestion that I would make is to fix locks on the two doors going out so that a key is not needed to leave the apartment, especially in case of a fire. Seemed a bit unsafe. Otherwise, very good for a group of couples.
Great location in Venice!
We were a group of 10 adults staying at the apartment for 4 nights. The location was excellent for visiting the main attractions in Venice, and we loved exploring the Dorsoduro neighborhood. There were many good restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store or 2 within a short walk. The Accademia Bridge was under construction, so no great views or photos from there, but that wasn't our host's fault, of course. What needs to be updated in the description, however, is that the courtyard is not available to those staying in the apartment. There was construction going on while we were there, so I thought perhaps the lack of access was temporary. I see a review from one year ago saying the courtyard was unavailable then also, so it's time to correct your description. Also, we were told, after we arrived, that direct access from the Grand Canal is very difficult, what with keys being needed to get in, so that claim shouldn't be made to prospective renters either. The Accademia vaporetto stop is very convenient to the apartment though, and was OK for some of our group arriving from the airport at 1 a.m. As far as the interior of the place, unfortunately my husband and I had the bedroom with the exceedingly uncomfortable bed. It's an antique 4 poster canopied bed with a horrible mattress with a dip in the middle. The other 4 bedrooms got no complaints from our friends. Bathrooms were all in working order, although ours had peeling wallpaper and some chipped plaster. Kitchen was well-stocked. One of the couches in the living room has been switched out for a daybed, so there wasn't really enough comfortable seating for more than 4 or 5 of us at a time. The pictures made it look like there were 2 very large couches and a few chairs, which was a bit misleading. The landlord was responsive to our requests during our stay, and our security deposit was refunded quickly. Would we stay there again? I think we would, but only if that one bed was fixed! It was a good value in an expensive city.
We spent 3 nights here after a cruise and it was in a perfect location. Kitchen was fully stocked, however, there was not a comfortable seat in the apartment. They could use new sofas in the living room. The only problem we had was that 2 of the showers backed up. My son cleaned out the one drain and we told the apartment manager about the other one. Hopefully they took care of this. I would rent this apartment again.
Venice is the most beautiful city in the wordl.
1000 things to see, to do, in the city and in the lagoons.
