Spence Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms
We are enjoying our stay at Spence Cottage very much.
We have enjoyed sitting out on the patio with a glass of wine, although found the traffic noisey.
The Cottage is beautiful very clean and well appointed, our agents Laura & Cleo were also very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if in this neck of the woods
Great property, comfortable, clean and welcoming. Everything we needed was provided.
Great location for our short break.
dedicated parking spot and nicely furnished.
Clean , and pleasantly decorated throughout.
Lovely patio area.
Very nice property. Would visit again
The quintessential (modern) English cottage.......
Our expectations were high as we saw the photo's of the Cottage online but we were not disappointed. Tasteful interior design which gave the whole place a light and modern touch. Even the wonky floors seem to add character. We can definitely recommend this property.
The property was well decorated and clean. I felt that the curtains in the master bedroom should have a thick lining as it was very bright at night and did face the main road. I also felt it would benefit from a dishwasher. All other UK rental properties I have stayed in always have one. I booked it late in the session, and in hindsight should have gone with one that had 2 bathrooms.
Very attractive and well equipped Cottage although a little closer to a busy road and petrol station than the photo suggests. Good base for exploring West Sussex and great beach close by
Birdham has a vibrant sailing community and Chichester Marina is within walking distance. In addition, the nearby sailing village of Itchenor can be accessed via a beautiful walk and the area is perfect for cyclists. One of the best sandy beaches in the south of England is only a few minutes away in West Wittering, which is also a haven for windsurfers and sun bathers. Birdham itself is a very pretty village with a variety of properties and it is well served by a good village shop.
Just to the north of the village is the famous cathedral city of Chichester. Dominated by the cathedral, the city centre's character and heritage has been preserved extremely well and it has a wide range of interesting shops and places to visit. The internationally renowned Festival Theatre attracts actors and visitors from all over the world. The nearby Goodwood Estate has both horse racing and its famous motor sports events, including the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. With so much to do, it is no surprise that this is such a popular holiday destination, but equally people often visit for a quiet, relaxing break.
