Great place to stay
Had a lovely stay at Treasure box. Is really well equipped so feels a real home from home. Location is great as you can easily walk to a Mullion Cove and Portmerrion Beach and in evening walk to the handful of local pubs or restaurants. Would definitely book again
Very enjoyable break
Last minute booking of this modern, clean and well furnished apartment. Very comfortable and plenty big enough for a family of 3. Located in the heart of Mullion village and across the road from a spa and bakery. The surrounding area was fabulous. Poldhu beach was great. Easy to hire wet suits and bodyboards for the brilliant surf. Porthleven and the walk around the river estuary at Helford was lovely. Thank you. We had a grand holiday.
The treasure box
The treasure box has everything you need for your stay it’s clean and comfortable set in the heart of mullion village.
Has everything you need
We had a wonderful time staying at The Treasure Box. Easy to find and easy access to the property. Parking outside overnight and theres a free car park just behind the church on the one way system.
The flat is clean and tidy, small amounts of milk, sugar, tea and coffee are provided on arrival and with the spar shop accross the road it's easy to grab something if needed. Towels are provided and any cooking or cleaning utensils you may need are easily accessible too. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. Leaflets about the surrounding area are provided along with a folder on recommended places to visit too.
10 minute walk away from the chocolate factory. 20 minute walk away from Mullion Cove. 10 minute drive to Lizard Point. This flat is just what we needed and couldn't be better situated.
A week's Summer break for a family of four
We had a lovely week's holiday stopping at the Treasure Box apartment. The apartment was just perfect and provided all we needed for a enjoyable, comfortable stay.
The apartment was well laid out and included all you needed for a family holiday. It was extremely clean and tidy and finished off to a high standard, and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice that the kitchen had extras like a washing machine and tumble dryer (we didn't use the dryer) but it was nice that the apartment had one. The TV also had Netflix, which helped entertain the kids when we got back after a busy day exploring or relaxing after a day at the beach.
We found it a great base for exploring Cornwall, and although the apartment doesn't have parking, you are allowed to park overnight directly outside the apartment from 5.30pm until 9.30am the next day, which we did, but the car park was only down the road, so we didn't find this any bother.
Would highly recommend the local take away curry from just around the corner, open on a Tue/Wed/Thur in the Summer. It was delicious and we even had to go back out to get extra nan bread, it was so nice.
Would also recommend the local beach of Poldhu, super beach with lots of rock pools and great cafe. We really enjoyed our days there, and the kids loved it.
I would highly recommend this apartment for a couple or family of three/four, it's a perfect base for a Cornwall holiday.
I hope one day we will return.
Perfect apartment in Mullion
We could not rate the Treasurebic more highly for our stay in Mullion. The owners have thought about every comfort you could ask for and it made an even better experience to an already fantastic apartment! The quality of the fixtures, fittings and furnishings of the property are top notch, even little touches, like leaving soap, washing up liquid, tissues, tea, coffee, etc. made us feel at home. Well done Liz and Laura...your property does you proud!
The Lizard is an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and has some spectacular coastal walks. It is England's most southerly point and the highlights include early Spring flowers, the Lizard lighthouse, swimming and surfing from sandy beaches, delightful fishing coves, sailing on the Helford river, heather covered moors in Autumn, open gardens and National Trust areas, pretty harbour lights at Christmas, friendly pubs and good, fresh, local food! There are loads of places to visit and highlights include Lizard Point, walks along the coastal path, a visit to Trelowarren Estate, the fascinating Goonhilly Earth Station, Flambards is great for the kids and you can step into Cornwall's mining heritage at the Poldark Mine.
There are so many activities to choose from locally. You can take a boat trip across the beautiful Helford River and explore the gardens at Trebah. There are sea fishing trips from Porthleven. There is great diving on the Manacles and coasteering is available for the really adventurous. The Lizard is home to the Cornish Chough if you like a spot of bird-watching. The coastline has many pretty coves and beaches to discover, but you can find great surf at Porthleven or Loe Bar.
