Welcome to Historic Colorado Springs!
Built in 1899, the end of the Victorian era, our home we choose to share and christened The Chandelier House, sits on the side of a mountain just slightly below The Pinery boasting the most beautiful views of downtown Colorado Springs. We took great pleasure in remodeling it with striking mahogany hardwood floors in the great room, stainless steel appliances and butcher-block counters in the kitchen, and gorgeous tiled bathrooms while still maintaining the simplicity and integrity of the house. In addition, it is superbly and professionally decorated for comfort as well as décor, with Parisian-Victorian touches to enhance its’ charm… perfect for both families and romantic get-a-ways.
Our little Victorian gem is located just West of downtown Colorado Springs, (a must-see with sculptures and little gardens on almost every corner with a story to tell), and less than 5 minutes from I-25, the perfect link to getting around town to all your favorite destinations.
** It is less than 5 minutes away from downtown Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Center, Acacia Park (amazing in the summer with outside concerts and Farmers’ Market, and fabulous for outdoor ice-skating in the winter), Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, and very important, The Pinery (especially if you are getting married there, or traveling to the wedding). It is near restaurants and movie theaters, shopping, and a myriad of activities. It is in the heart of Colorado Springs.
** It is less than 10 minutes away from The Colorado World Arena (where some of the world’s finest athletes train), Garden of The Gods, and Fort Carson.
** It is less than 15 minutes away from Seven Falls, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds, or Santa’s Workshop at The North Pole.
** It is less than 20 minutes to the United States Air Force Academy… and the list goes on.
** For lengthier drives you may want to visit Denver’s 16th Street Mall, the quaint little town of Ouray (u-ray) also known as Switzerland of America, a Dude Ranch, Hartsel Buffalo Ranch (one of the few places that buffalo still roam the plains), Cripple Creek for a little gambling or artists at work crafting their skill. Westcliffe is home to some of the most incredible majestic mountains you could ever hope to see, or for the soothing experience of natural hot springs there is Glenwood Springs and several others to choose from.
As much as the adults enjoy the clubs and exciting nightlife, the children enjoy Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole surrounded by forest and the incredible scent of pines. And everywhere, there is a broad range of outdoor activities to include rock climbing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, skiing, and white-water rafting, just to name a few.
