About the property

Welcome to Historic Colorado Springs!

Built in 1899, the end of the Victorian era, our home we choose to share and christened The Chandelier House, sits on the side of a mountain just slightly below The Pinery boasting the most beautiful views of downtown Colorado Springs. We took great pleasure in remodeling it with striking mahogany hardwood floors in the great room, stainless steel appliances and butcher-block counters in the kitchen, and gorgeous tiled bathrooms while still maintaining the simplicity and integrity of the house. In addition, it is superbly and professionally decorated for comfort as well as décor, with Parisian-Victorian touches to enhance its’ charm… perfect for both families and romantic get-a-ways.

Our little Victorian gem is located just West of downtown Colorado Springs, (a must-see with sculptures and little gardens on almost every corner with a story to tell), and less than 5 minutes from I-25, the perfect link to getting around town to all your favorite destinations.

** It is less than 5 minutes away from downtown Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Center, Acacia Park (amazing in the summer with outside concerts and Farmers’ Market, and fabulous for outdoor ice-skating in the winter), Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, and very important, The Pinery (especially if you are getting married there, or traveling to the wedding). It is near restaurants and movie theaters, shopping, and a myriad of activities. It is in the heart of Colorado Springs.

** It is less than 10 minutes away from The Colorado World Arena (where some of the world’s finest athletes train), Garden of The Gods, and Fort Carson.

** It is less than 15 minutes away from Seven Falls, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds, or Santa’s Workshop at The North Pole.

** It is less than 20 minutes to the United States Air Force Academy… and the list goes on.

** For lengthier drives you may want to visit Denver’s 16th Street Mall, the quaint little town of Ouray (u-ray) also known as Switzerland of America, a Dude Ranch, Hartsel Buffalo Ranch (one of the few places that buffalo still roam the plains), Cripple Creek for a little gambling or artists at work crafting their skill. Westcliffe is home to some of the most incredible majestic mountains you could ever hope to see, or for the soothing experience of natural hot springs there is Glenwood Springs and several others to choose from.

As much as the adults enjoy the clubs and exciting nightlife, the children enjoy Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole surrounded by forest and the incredible scent of pines. And everywhere, there is a broad range of outdoor activities to include rock climbing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, skiing, and white-water rafting, just to name a few.

On the main level, The Chandelier House invitingly flows from the kitchen, to the dining room, to the living room creating a homey and inviting feel to your stay. It has a full size bathroom and is also home to a laundry room for your convenience. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, large stove, and refrigerator and all the necessary appliances and dishware for complete meals. The dining room seats 5 with extremely comfortable chairs for a pleasurable dining experience. And, the living room has wonderful cozy furniture and a large screen TV to relax and enjoy your downtime. (The HDTV is connected via HD quality signal for optimum viewing pleasure and High speed wireless internet access .)

The upper level of The Chandelier House, has 3 bedrooms, 2 with a queen size bed chosen specifically for your comfort and dressed in fine quality linens. The first bedroom has its’ own flat screen TV for your enjoyment, and the second?… wait for it… It opens up through French doors onto a fabulous upper story balcony boasting picturesque views of downtown Colorado Springs. We have furnished the balcony with a table and chairs which allow you to enjoy delightful mornings with your favorite coffee or tea, and relax at the end of the day with twinkling star-studded nights. Not to be left out is the third bedroom which is absolutely adorable and home to a daybed and trundle. A spacious bathroom graces the upstairs with beautifully tiled features.

A couple of rare features on mountainside properties, The Chandelier House boasts a private outside area complete with a grill and furniture, perfect for outdoor dining. In addition, parking comes with ease as there is ample room for 2 vehicles in line.

No detail has gone overlooked in this comfortable home as we have made it an absolute priority to ensure that everything is provided so that you will feel right at home! Come and share Colorado history while making your own.

From our hearts to yours… we welcome you to The Chandelier House… it’s a natural choice!

Beautiful, well equipped home!

  • 4 of 5

The chandelier house was the perfect size for my family. Beautifully decorated and minutes away from many popular attractions and downtown Colorado Springs. We truly enjoyed our stay! The only thing I wished is that there was a better view of the mountains in the morning instead of the houses in front of the property but at night the lights from downtown were nice. David was also very helpful and quick to respond to my questions. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Thank you!

Best vacation home we have ever stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd stay in Colorado Springs, and our first in this vacation home. There is not one negative characteristic about this home. It was absolutely perfect for our family. When you combine history with the present, only good things come out of it. We had everyrhing we needed, were extremely comfortable, and cried when we left! An absolutely perfect place to call "home"!

Great home with character and beautiful views!

  • 4 of 5

This home was what we were wanting for our stay in Colorado Springs. Great location, home with character and plenty of room. The views were amazing! Beds were comfortable. Main floor was chilly while the upstairs was warm FYI. Parking was a little strange but glad to have it! We didn’t use the kitchen really so can’t attest to it. We would definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: Thank you for submitting your review. The temperature can be adjusted for both floors to our guests liking. As for the assigned parking we are so happy to have parking for two cars in line as a lot of homes in This Historic part of town do not even have one.

Beautiful ,very clean, perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Chandelier house. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and very comfortable. We were very happy to have an assigned parking space as most of the homes in the area park on street. The deck off the upper bedroom has gorgeous views of down town. The towels were super soft and the linens very clean! The location is also perfect. We highly recommend this home.
