About the property

Welcome to Historic Colorado Springs!

Built in 1899, (the end of the Victorian era, 1837-1901), our home we choose to share and christened The Chandelier House, sits on the side of a mountain just slightly below The Pinery boasting the most beautiful views of downtown Colorado Springs. We took great pleasure in remodeling with striking mahogany hardwood floors in the great room, stainless steel appliances and butcher-block counters in the kitchen, and gorgeous tiled bathrooms while still maintaining the simplicity and integrity of the house. In addition, it is superbly and professionally decorated for comfort as well as décor, with Parisian-Victorian touches to enhance its’ charm… perfect for both families and romantic get-a-ways.

Our little Victorian gem is located just West of downtown Colorado Springs, (a must-see with sculptures and little gardens on almost every corner with a story to tell), and less than 5 minutes from I-25, the perfect link to getting around town to all your favorite destinations.

** It is less than 5 minutes away from downtown Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Center, Acacia Park (amazing in the summer with outside concerts and Farmers’ Market, and fabulous for outdoor ice-skating in the winter), Old Colorado City, Manitou, and very important, The Pinery (especially if you are getting married there, or traveling to the wedding). It is near restaurants and movie theaters, shopping, and a myriad of activities. It is in the heart of Colorado Springs.

** It is less than 10 minutes away from The Colorado World Arena (where some of the world’s finest athletes train), Garden of The Gods, and Fort Carson.

** It is less than 15 minutes away from Seven Falls, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Cave of the Winds, or Santa’s Workshop at The North Pole.

** It is less than 20 minutes to the United States Air Force Academy… and the list goes on.

** For lengthier drives you may want to visit Denver’s 16th Street Mall, the quaint little town of Ouray (u-ray) also known as Switzerland of America, a Dude Ranch, Hartsel Buffalo Ranch (one of the few places that buffalo still roam the plains), Cripple Creek for a little gambling or artists at work crafting their skill. Westcliffe is home to some of the most incredible majestic mountains you could ever hope to see, or for the soothing experience of natural hot springs there is Glenwood Springs and several others to choose from.

As much as the adults enjoy the clubs and exciting nightlife, the children enjoy Santa’s Workshop at the North Pole surrounded by forest and the incredible scent of pines. And everywhere, there is a broad range of outdoor activities to include rock climbing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, skiing, and white-water rafting, just to name a few.

On the main level, The Chandelier House invitingly flows from the kitchen, to the dining room, to the living room creating a homey and inviting feel to your stay. It has a full size bathroom and is also home to a laundry room for your convenience. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, large stove, and refrigerator and all the necessary appliances and dishware for complete meals. The dining room seats 5 with extremely comfortable chairs for a pleasurable dining experience. And, the living room has wonderful cozy furniture and a large screen TV to relax and enjoy your downtime. (The HDTV is connected via HD quality signal for optimum viewing pleasure. High speed wireless internet access and local phone service is included for your communication needs.)

The upper level of The Chandelier House, has 3 bedrooms, 2 with a queen size bed chosen specifically for your comfort and dressed in fine quality linens. The first bedroom has its’ own flat screen TV for your enjoyment, and the second?… wait for it… It opens up through French doors onto a fabulous upper story balcony boasting picturesque views of downtown Colorado Springs. We have furnished the balcony with a table and chairs which allow you to enjoy delightful mornings with your favorite coffee or tea, and relax at the end of the day with twinkling star-studded nights. Not to be left out is the third bedroom which is absolutely adorable and home to a daybed and trundle. A spacious bathroom graces the upstairs with beautifully tiled features.

A couple of rare features on mountainside properties, The Chandelier House boasts a private outside area complete with a grill and furniture, perfect for outdoor dining. In addition, parking comes with ease as there is ample room for 2 vehicles in line.

No detail has gone overlooked in this comfortable home as we have made it an absolute priority to ensure that everything is provided so that you will feel right at home! Come and share Colorado history while making your own.

From our hearts to yours… we welcome you to The Chandelier House… it’s a natural choice!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Chandelier house! There were two of us most of the time. Our son was able to come for a few nights from the Academy. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The deck off the upper bedroom has an amazing view and sunsets! All the great amenities of home! The towels were fabulous! Very close to all the sites and COS!! We would highly recommend renting this home!

Great updated classic house near everything.

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful and modern while having a classic feel to it. It is close enough to all the fun things in the Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, downtown, cave of the winds. The beds were all different levels of firmness so you can find one you like. Overall a great place to stay.

Cute, Quiet & Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house! Clean, organized, well stocked and quiet. And I can't forget "Super Cute"! We were so busy while in CO Spings, that I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to spend more time at the house just enjoying the ambiance, the patio and the view of downtown. The bathrooms are wonderful, the decor and furnishings comfortable, plenty of storage for groceries, toiletries and clothes. Don't let all those stairs to the front door scare actually park behind the house and have only 4 or so steps down to the back door into the kitchen. The house is located in an older area but it was quiet and safe. The Pinery is literally right above and behind the house and looks to be an upscale establishment. The location worked out great for us with easy access to hwy24 and I25. The price was right, definitely worth the little extra we would have paid for a regular hotel room and we received our full security deposit back within 1-2 days of our last night in the house. We would definitely stay at the Chandelier House again!

Beautiful and Comfortable Home

  • 4 of 5

This house was a great place to come back to after all our tours and hikes everyday in the area. It was very convenient to the main attractions in the city. It was clean, well maintained, quiet, comfortable and just felt like home. It was very hot while we were there so it was hard to cool the upstairs but everything else about the house met expectations.
