A beautifully restored historical Plantation House offers privacy and unobstructed views, a jacuzzi bath tub inside and an outside hot tub spa for relaxing. The house is bright and spacious. The large picture windows let the natural beauty inside the house. The high ceiling living room and dining area are elegantly decorated with McGuire vintage furnitures. The outside bamboo garden has hammock and lounge chairs to create a comfortable surrounding to relax and hear tropical birds and trade winds swaying in the giant bamboo and palm trees. A perfect location right down the road from Hawi Coffee Mill, Bamboo and Sushi Rock restaurants and just a short drive to the gorgeous Kauna'oa Beach and spectacular Hapuna Beach which are among the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii. Hapuna Beach was named "America's Best Beach" in 2000 by Florida International University professor Stephen Leatherman.

The Plantation House is conveniently located in Hawi Town on the north-western shore of the Big Island of Hawaii, off the road, private and peaceful, surrounded by 200 acres of lush rolling hills. The property can sleep four, has two ultra comfortable Queen size beds, and a leather conversion sofa, a Jacuzzi bathtub, a hot tub spa, a fully equipped modern kitchen with all your basic cooking and service needs, a new dish washer, five burners gas range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, washer/dryer, Weber BBQ and all your cooking utensils. The house also has a smart Sony TV with free WiFi and Netflix. A drip coffee machine, tea kettle are provided. Complimentary Kona coffee, organic soap, shampoo and body lotion available. Beach accessories, boogie board, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and towels are also available for guest use. Sorry, no wheelchair access.

Wonderful Peaceful Hawi Home

This home is very well represented in the photos. I found it extremely private. The garden is surrounded by lush plants so even when you are outside on the lanai you feel like your alone.

Each morning I woke in complete silence. It was very peaceful. It is odd but there is something truly calming about looking out your window and seeing cows grazing. Every vacation home should have them.

The kitchen is fully functional. The hosts left 100% kona coffee for us which was very welcome. We cooked almost all our meals at home and had no problems.

We also enjoyed time in the hot tub.

There are pairs of boogie boards, beach chairs and an umbrella which we made full use of on our trips to the kohala beach.

The hosts were extremely wonderful people. So nice. This is a lovely place to stay and I hope to stay again.

Wonderful stay!

This is a really beautiful and clean house -- even nicer than the pictures suggest! Well kept, well decorated, gorgeous views of the countryside right outside your window, and the ocean in the distance. Hot tub was great as well. A quiet location from which to explore the northern coast of the big island.

A cosy cottage on the beautiful north coast

Our family loved our 5 days in Hawi, and this cottage was beautiful, clean and had everything we need. Janet was friendly and welcoming, and gave us some great local advice.

The area is beautiful, and feels like the old Hawaii, with the town and interesting mix of galleries and eateries. We LOVED the Kohala Coffee Mill, best espresso on the island!

While it’s a short hike to some great beaches, we would definitely recommend staying a few days to explore what the north coast has to offer... hiking, zip lining, horse treks, and a great farmers market.

Lovely home

Both Jackie and Jon were very helpful in giving us information and ideas as to where to snorkel and hike and attended to any other of our needs.

Loved the pastoral view with the cattle and their calves and the cattle egrets. Home was very nice and immaculate and we also liked the town of Hawi. Beth and Hank

We enjoyed our stay so much! The home was clean comfortable private very quiet! Very easy to relax and enjoy yourself! The hosts are great friendly helpful made us feel like friends helped direct us to fun things to enjoy! Everything you need is at the house and provided! Just roll in relax and enjoy!

Hawi Town is located on the north shore of the Big Island of Hawaii. This is the most historical place in Hawaii facing the island of Maui with moderate weather and soothing trade winds. Hawi Town has great restaurants and boutique shops which showcase local artists creations. Scenic sites close by include famous Pololu valley with spectacular views of the Big Island's north coast and black sands beach, with great hiking trails.. King Kamehameha the Great's birth place and the Mo'okini Heiau oldest Hawaiian temple along the coastline with gorgeous hikes and views of Maui Haleakala volcano. Go for an amazing snorkel at Mahukona and explore the coral reef 10 minutes away, snorkel or scuba dive with turtles in Puako , swim with wild spinner dolphins in Ho'okena, watch the whales crossing the Maui channel just a few miles away (between December and April), go for the boogie boarding of a life time at Hawaii's most beautiful Hapuna Beach nearby or leisure on the beach like a Rockefeller for free at the most magnificent 5 stars Mauna Kea beach hotel 20 minutes away. And if this not enough, hike to the magnificent 1600 feet high Hi'ilawe falls in Waipio valley of the kings. Aloha Nui.

Cancellation Policy: 50% refund up until 30 days prior to arrival, except fees.
Hawaii Occupancy Tax of 10.25% and Sales Excise Tax of 4 % are not included. A $85 cleaning fee is added to your bill. The Plantation House is insured by Tudor Insurance and Lloyds of London up to a $1.000.000 in liability and property damages. You do not have to purchase an additional property damage insurance. At booking, you will only be charged for a $200 refundable damage deposit. Hawaii Tax ID W38764682-01 Since 2003.

NON SMOKING HOUSE: Please do not move furnitures around the house. Septic system requires only waste and waste paper be flushed. DO NOT flush any feminine products, paper towels, feminine or baby wipes, etc.

HOT TUB SPA: Please do not add any type of soap products to the water. Please wash your feet off sand or soil before entering the tub. Refrain from using perfume, essential oils or sun tan lotion in the spa. Do not bring alcoholic beverages or glass container in the tub. When using the hot tub, remember there is certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. The hot tub is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled before the next guest arrival. We sanitize the spa twice a week; The spa has an ozone generator to maintain residual sanitation effect. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVER, they will break and you may be charged for replacement.

No refunds or compensation will be given if the Property is unavailable for any reason outside of our control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, mechanical failures, acts of government agencies, or utility outages.
