Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved this home so much the first time, we decided to come back and stay in the cottage which is in the back behind the house. Since it was just my husband and I, it was perfect! This cottage was stunning. It has a very large bedroom (only 1), a very nice spa like bathroom, a beautifully designed kitchen with granite counters and beautiful fixtures. The living room is just off the kitchen with wonderful newer furniture and even a wall mounted “smart” TV. The cottage had newly tiled floors from front to back and it was simply beautiful! I loved staying in the house the first time we were there, but I think the cottage was perfect for my husband and I! As always the owners were just wonderful! Will be staying again, VERY SOON!

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We went to the islands, had great breakfasts out on decks, saw the wild horses, saw dolphins, our dog chase was most popular to all kids and adults, got burnt having too much fun on beach swimming. We saw the town parade and live band. Two very good dinners out. Everything within walking distance. Everyone in town very friendly! We will be back!!

Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

The Admiral's Cottage is lovely and spacious. This was our first trip to Beaufort and we will definitely return. We enjoyed the walks to the docks and restaurants. Our favorite hangout was Cru...for coffee each morning with the locals. This is our kind of place, laid back, easy living. The Cottage is situated very close to downtown and yet is private. I am sure we will return again and again.

Very good!!

  • 4 of 5

It was a well decorated house, behind the main house. It is a quiet neighborhood. Very clean. It was perfect for us as a couple. We enjoyed the walk to the waterfront only a couple of blocks away and the shops. Patti and Nelson were so sweet. They welcomed my fur babies with a nice bone. They had no problem with me texting her when the TV wouldn't come on and responded quickly. We recommend this cottage to anyone hoping to stay in Beaufort.

Charming cottage in the heart of Beaufort

  • 5 of 5

This adorable cottage has everything you need for your home away from home stay. The location is perfect and is an easy walk to all that downtown Beaufort has to offer. The area is also very pet friendly. Owners Patti and Nelson made our fur babies feel quite welcome as well. This is a place you will want to return to again and again!

Beaufort is north carolina's third oldest town offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. Experiencing beaufort is like coming home.

Beaufort’s streets, waterfront, and surrounding areas have not changed drastically since the 1700s. Houses that were built in the eighteenth century on front street, particularly in the first and second block, are still standing today, occupied by families whose ancestors helped develop the town. Although front street is now paved, early on it was merely a path along the shore.

The families who came, built, lived, and died in beaufort continue today through their many descendents. Although many newcomers have moved to the area in the past 25 years, beaufort is still a very unique and blessed place to live.
