We loved this home so much the first time, we decided to come back and stay in the cottage which is in the back behind the house. Since it was just my husband and I, it was perfect! This cottage was stunning. It has a very large bedroom (only 1), a very nice spa like bathroom, a beautifully designed kitchen with granite counters and beautiful fixtures. The living room is just off the kitchen with wonderful newer furniture and even a wall mounted “smart” TV. The cottage had newly tiled floors from front to back and it was simply beautiful! I loved staying in the house the first time we were there, but I think the cottage was perfect for my husband and I! As always the owners were just wonderful! Will be staying again, VERY SOON!

Beaufort, North Carolina's third oldest town, offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. Experiencing Beaufort is like coming home.

Beaufort’s streets, waterfront, and surrounding areas have not changed drastically since the 1700s. Houses that were built in the eighteenth century on Front Street, particularly in the first and second block, are still standing today, occupied by families whose ancestors helped develop the town. Although Front Street is now paved, early on it was merely a path along the shore.

The families who came, built, lived, and died in Beaufort continue today through their many descendents. Although many newcomers have moved to the area in the past 25 years, Beaufort is still a very unique and blessed place to live.

Enjoyable stay at the Admiral's Cottage.

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed at the Admiral's Cottage for a quick getaway in Beaufort for our anniversary. This place was perfect for us and our little dog. We were close to all the restaurants and shops down town. We look forward to staying there again.

Loving Admirals Cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay! First of all we love historic Beaufort! Our cottage was beautifully redone with all of the comforts and luxuries of home. It has been tastefully redone and was the perfect vacation destination for my husband myself and our dog Dixie! We look forward to coming back to visit in the future!!

Charming cottage with convenience

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Admiral's Cottage. The house was nicely appointed. The owners were very kind to leave us some champagne & cinnamon rolls to wish us a happy anniversary. Very nice touch!

We were impressed with the kitchen which had a full stock of cookware, serveware, & additional kitchen items. There were oil & spices available which was appreciated, too. The only drawback to the property had to do with the parking -- when the parking lot is full, people are literally parked right at the front door of the house. & you can hear the gravel parking so close. We also had a bit of trouble finding a place to park the first night because it was full & one person failed to heed the parking suggestion to perpindicular rather than parallel to the fence! This was only a minor issue the first night there. After that, we had the parking lot to ourselves pretty much for Sunday & Monday nights.

We were able to easily walk to restaurants, shops, & museums in downtown Beaufort. Plus it was an easy drive to enjoy kayaking with Beaufort Paddle.

We would stay here again.

Owner's Response: Hi Sharon I'm happy that you still managed to enjoy the Admiral's Cottage despite the parking issue. This was the exception with way too many cars. We are working to correct that issue in the future. We look forward to having you return to Beaufort, NC and the Admiral's Cottage soon. Thanks Best Regards Patti & Nelson
