Casually modern style lake house, with great proximity, yet secluded from traffic and neighbors. Located on the Horseshoe Bend peninsula of the lake, the house has great access to near by restaurants, shopping, and a variety of popular attractions. The house sits on a hillside in a quiet, deep water cove, totally secluded from neighbors on either side. At the end of a long private driveway, you arrive at a modern home that sits on a hill and your mind is baffled by the fact that you can go from your car, to the dock without taking a single stair to get there.
As you walk through the door, you immediately gain a sense of relaxation and satisfaction. You have arrived! You see modern appliances in the kitchen, decor and furniture that are actually from this century, and two glass doors leading to a great view and a luxurious screen porch. Accompanied with a clean, casual, and modern style, the house is very functional and practical for the whole family. There are 5 bedrooms split between the two levels, each level with a master bedroom and access to the lake-side decks. Three bedrooms upstairs, a living room, the kitchen, and a dining room. The lower level with the second master, a 4-6 kid bunk room, a second living room, and a wet bar and full refrigerator. Enough beds and a pull out couch to sleep 14, and many more with the use of air mattresses. To maximize the use of the property, there is a tram that runs from the upper level of the house right down to the dock. Kids, grandparents, and those who are here to relax will have no problem going up and down all day long.
The house has also been upgraded with a handful of cool new features. Sonos surround system allows anyone, anywhere on the property, to play what ever music they choose with separate speaker systems in the house, out on the porch, and even on the dock. The kids can be jamming out on the dock while they're swimming and the parents can relax with their own background music on the screened in porch; all controlled by a simple app on your phone. Another cool feature is the ability to turn all of the main living area's lights on and off with your phone and even adjust the temperature. And finally, a boat and two jet skis that can be rented are sitting right there in your dock so you can have some fun out on the water.

I grew up coming to the lake with my family every summer to visit my grandparents who lived the 'retired and we bought a boat' lifestyle. The Lake of the Ozarks has always been a summer vacation place through the years. Now I am fortunate enough to stay involved at the lake while operating a vacation house.
Curtis Schultz purchased this house in 2014
This house pretty much had it all. In efforts to provide our guests with the vacation they desire, we had a pretty tall list of requirements when shopping for a house. Horseshoe bend was our first criteria because its a great destination for the lake. Then we looked for water front properties, easy access by car with an easy driveway, a house that faces east so the sun doesn't beat down on you in the afternoon/evening, and in a cove that wouldn't be right in the middle of all the boat action on the main channel. We actually found this house by accident and it seemed too perfect to pass up.
This is not a personal vacation home that we rent out to help make payments. You won't see family photos over the fireplace or hand-me-down furniture from grandma's house. We specifically and intentionally designed this lake house to give people a great place to stay and enjoy their vacation. We spent months researching and nit-picking every aspect of a vacation house so we really think we have a great house to offer.
This was our first family vacation away from home and was a huge success. The house was perfect for 8 adults and 5 children. Very clean, good beds, wonderful kitchen. We ended up eating in the whole vacation. Grandkids loved the place - fishing and swimming off the dock. We rented the pontoon for tubing and touring the beautiful lake. Plenty of space for the rainy day inside. Everyone wants to go back next year.
Where do I start? First, Curtis and Keith were excellent to deal and work with. Any questions we had were answered quickly and efficiently. We feel like we made new friends! The house, WOW. It was truly an amazing place. Super clean, extremely roomy, plenty of room for all 11 of us. Loved the color concept of the house. Actually found it very calming and homey. The kitchen was large and had anything and everything we could need for cooking and planning dinners. There is a gas grill on the deck off the dining room, worked great for burgers and hotdogs. The new addition of the game room was a lot of fun. We would spend evenings shooting pool and playing darts. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. The decks overlooked the water where you could watch the turtles swimming, ducks splashing, deer running (one ran up on the dock with us!) and we even spotted a couple of beavers. The dock was large and was a perfect place for all of us to lay out or fish. We were actually swimming in the water and some of our crew were fishing at the same time. No worries of getting into each others way as the dock is really that large. We caught a variety of fish. Crappie, Bass & Catfish being the main ones and they were all keeper sized. Seriously couldn't believe how many fish we were able to catch straight off the dock. The location of the home/dock is quiet and private, we were able to play music on the dock, using the fancy and super nice stereo set up that the house offers. We downloaded the app to our phone and played whatever music we wanted. Truly it was great. We were able to listen to our music while my mother-in-law was in the house listening to her music. You have to rent the boat. We rented it for 3 days and spent almost every waking hour on the boat tubing and sightseeing. They actually offer the best price on the lake, we know, we shopped around and they were not only the cheapest but the convenience of having it right there at our own dock made it an easy decision. You really need to rent the boat so you can see just how beautiful the lake area is and the tubing is great especially during the week. there were times that we were 1 of only a few boats out on the lake. We have stayed at numerous VRBO homes over the past several years and this is my number 1 place to stay now. We are already making plans to return to the Flagship this fall and next summer. You will not be disappointed if you choose the Flagship!
We just wrapped up our annual trip to the LoOzarks last week....32 years and counting. We had the good fortune of finding "The Flagship" and can honestly say the accommodations were outstanding, if not the best we've rented in all our years. The place was very, very clean and nicely appointed from the kitchen and bedrooms to the great screened-in porch and entertainment areas. The extras such as the game room, the whole-property sound system, the tram and dock/swim platform just made the stay all that more enjoyable. The property is just minutes from many of the lakes good golf courses, restaurants, grocery stores and the outlet mall. The cove is well protected and the water was great for floating and listening to music. Tons of parking. The ownership/management were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive to all questions and requests for information. This was a rental experience as it should be....we'll be back!!
Great Lake cove house. Excellent furniture and surround sound system. Perfect getaway house!
This house is huge, modern and clean. We went as a group of couples in late twenties/early thirties and had a great time. The house came with everything we needed outside of food and booze and comfortably slept our group of 14. Play on the lake by day and play on the pool table, dart board and sound system at night. Great house, will be looking to book again in the future!
Enough room for EVERYONE! From 3 to 63 all had a wonderful time. The tram to the dock was a life saver - no carrying coolers up and down any stairs. We spent a great deal of time on the dock enjoying the breathtaking view, swimming and catching fish. Very private setting with woods surrounding the property in a quiet cove which makes it safe for children. More than ample parking for multiple vehicles. The sound system is the latest technology for enjoyment throughout the house, decks and the dock. We rented the wave runners which are conveniently located at the dock. They were the highlight of the weekend. There is even a lounge with a pool table in the garage. Something for everyone. Location is close to restaurants, bars and grocery stores. Definitely a "resort style home" to return to.
The Horseshoe bend area is arguably the most popular destination at Lake of the Ozarks. Very easy to access and navigate by car, yet also right on the water to enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, and all the fun water activities. The Horseshoe bend area also has a lot to offer off the water. Near by golf courses, plenty of restaurants, and a huge outlet mall will keep the whole family entertained on your vacation!
