This is a very clean and well appointed two-bedroom home with fabulous views of the mountains and a good chance of seeing bison, hawks and eagles, fox, elk, and more! It has a great back deck with a BBQ for relaxing while taking in the scenery. Inside are two bedrooms with comfy beds, a living room with satellite TV, and a full kitchen with everything you'll need to make yourself feel right at home. There's also a full-sized washer and dryer in case you want to catch up on laundry while you're here.
The home offers spectacular mountain views with easy access to beautiful Hebgen Lake and the National Forest lands adjacent to the property. This is a duplex that stands alone on its own lot with a covered carport between units, so lots of room and quiet compared to most condos! It has a wood fireplace, laundry facilities, wireless internet, large screen satellite TV, along with spectacular views of Yellowstone Park and the 11'000 foot peaks surrounding West Yellowstone! This is one of four similar homes that are next to each other, so if you don't find availability in this one or need more space for a larger group, call us and we'll see if we can combine homes to get you what you need!
It is a two-bedroom home with a sofa-sleeper and is very roomy and comfortable for 4-5, but will sleep up to 6. There is a large yard, covered parking for one vehicle and plenty of off street parking for more.
There is abundant wildlife, much of which travels right past the condo, and hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling trails right out the door. We also have other units available and can combine one, two, and three bedroom units to accommodate larger groups.
It is accessible by paved road (the last 1/4 mi is gravel), but sits in a secluded, quiet subdivision on the Horse Butte peninsula of Hebgen Lake, 9 miles outside the town of West Yellowstone.
This home is located in the mountains of Montana just minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It is named after the beautiful Indian Paintbrush wildflowers that grow here in the summer. Check the photos section for a picture.
It offers truly awesome views and the subdivision is surrounded by Forest Service Land. Yellowstone Park is 15 minutes away, the Gallatin National Forest is less than one-quarter mile away, and the two main arms of beautiful Hebgen Lake are five minutes either way.
West Yellowstone has its own charms, with both summer and winter time activities, museums, theaters, dining and shopping. The fishing, skiing, wildlife watching and geyser gazing are world renowned. Come stay in this quiet mountain retreat and spend time exploring this adventurer's wonderland!

Nice to get out of motels, but...
The location and views were great. Quiet and away from traffic noises. We even saw a red fox trotting through the grass out back.
This is an older property that could use some work. The deadbolt would not work with any of the 3 keys. The sliding door to back porch was extremely difficult to open. The fact that I was supposed to start laundering towels was irritating given the cleaning fee I was required to pay.
I found myself taking pictures of things that might be considered "property damage" in order to avoid claims against the policy I was required to buy in place of a damage deposit.
Overall, an ok stay.
Cozy Cabin, Great Distance from Yellowstone
My husband and I stayed at Paintbrush North in early September while we were visiting Yellowstone. The cabin is about 10-15 minutes away from the West Entrance, which was great. It was also 5-10 minutes away from the town of West Yellowstone, a little tourist town that has a pretty serviceable selection of shops and restaurants. The cabin itself is located in a quiet neighborhood, with a decent view of the surrounding mountains and lake. Everything was clean and neat, and the kitchen was pretty well supplied in terms of utensils. It was simple and cozy, and we felt very comfortable and easy there. The property managers were very responsive by email. Overall, we had a great stay at Paintbrush North!
Great place super close to West Yellowstone that suited our needs perfectly.
We would stay here again.
Far out of the way. On the run down side, bathroom was .... yucky. Get some CLR in that tub/shower!
I expect that the reason you do not get the address until you've paid in full is that it is so far away that you probably wouldn't choose stay there. When planning a western adventure you pay for and expect nice accommodations. For the money, this place was not worth it. The tile around the tub is cracked, the grout dirty, the showerhead filthy. The floorboards pulling away from the wall, could have been cleaner over all. Going forward we will be much more thorough in researching before making a payment. 😕
The exact location of the property is shown on the zoom-able Google map in the VRBO listing. Simply click the "Map" link at the top of the page, or just scroll down the page to the map. As other reviewers have noted, the home is only 15 minutes from the town of West Yellowstone and all of its amenities, including restaurants, 2 grocery stores, pharmacy, theaters, etc., etc., but without the noise and traffic and limited views that town offers. West Yellowstone is the western entrance to Yellowstone National Park, and is also the most visited entrance to Yellowstone. However, the town and Yellowstone Park are about as much in the middle of nowhere as you can get in the lower 48, which is why many people choose to visit here. This is a very nice place for the price, quite a bit less expensive than a single room in the local hotels, and is also very clean. However, fancier and more luxurious accommodations can be had for a lot more money. We're sorry that you didn't enjoy the property, but most will find this a very satisfactory and satisfying place to stay, along with it being a good bargain. If you're reading this response, you'll love the fact that you have all of the conveniences of home, including a full kitchen and laundry room, amazing scenery, great views from the decks and windows, easy access to town, comfortable beds, and a ready response if anything isn't up to your expectations. Thanks for looking, and we look forward to having you stay with us!
Great place to stay
I stayed in Paintbrush North with two children. We had a great time! It's an easy, scenic, 15 minute drive to the West Yellowstone entrance which seems to be the most centrally located entrance to the park. Marta at the management company was very pleasant.
The home was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We went in July, and even without A/C it was comfortable if I opened the windows early in the am and again at night. I could hear the coyotes at night, which I thought was cool. We grocery shopped in town and the kitchen had everything we needed for meals at home. We did lots of laundry, so the full sized washer and dryer were great. The mosquitoes were pretty thick in the evening.
One of my favorite memories of our vacation was driving to a dark spot in the neighborhood at night. We let our eyes adjust and then opened the sunroof and looked at the stars. They were incredible.
Our stay here was fantastic!!! Its location was really convienent to the west Yellowstone entrance and town, which made are stay was even better.
