This property is in a lovely all happening location with easy access to town centre ,shopping, restaurant etc. well equipped neat little flat. Enjoyed the stay with family.
This flat was perfectly ideal for us in terms of location, parking space, shops, bars, restaurants and plenty more. This is the second time we stayed at Manor Court, previously was at no 14, it is almost the same layout except one of the toilet layout is different which it is for wheelchair friendly, I suggest a shower curtain will make it better so it won't wet the whole bathroom. I would recommend this place to anyone as it caters for all needs and is in an ideal location.
Very good flat
Everything in the flat is good but internet speed is disappointing, I strongly recommend it for York visitors.
Excellent location Ideal location to appreciate all that York has to offer. Also useful parking facilities
A VERY ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY
I visited the above accomodation with mty partner (who has walking difficulties) and a friend. We were atteding the York Early Music Summer Festival. This is our second stay at this lovely flat. We returned becausie:
The flat is so comfortably furnished and has a very well equipped kitchen and an ensuite wet room in addition to the msain bathroom. The flat is very spacious, my partner’s wheelvhair is easilly accommodated. There is also plent of room for my guide dog!!!
The beds are generally comfortable and Manor Court is quiet at night. We have alreadty booked for stay for next year!!!
Both my partnrer and I would highly recommend this accommodation..
Well appointed with one big drawback, hence 4 and not 5 stars.
Handover was extremely well handled with clear instructions delivered in a friendly way. This ground floor flat is offered as being wheelchair friendly and it is. Doorways are not too narrow and there;s not so much furniture as to make wheelchair manoeuvring tricky. There is a wetroom if required. However inexplicably the ordinary bathroom adjacent to the Wetroom has no grab handles. As my wife who is the wheelchair user, doesn't like wetrooms, getting in and out of the bath was a major problem for her. The bath has been built up with a tile surround on the "open" edge which actually makes accessing the bath more difficult. Add to that the fact that a solid glass screen runs out from the bathtap end about 80cm and is too close to the washbasin to permit it to be swung wide enough to get at the bath taps without climbing into the bath first.
My suggestion would be to replace the solid glass splashproof screen with a normal shower curtain and to fit some grab handles. Neither improvement should be expensive. However I note that a somewhat earlier Review had suggested hooks for clothes/ washbags in the bathroom and that hasn't as yet been acted upon so I'm not holding my breath that my suggestions will be taken up.
