Perfectly positioned accommodation to take in the sights of York and the surrounding countryside.
Excellent home to base your visit to York, it’s history, shops and pubs plus York Race course and events like York Pride. Even when the weather is very British there was lots to do. After walking our legs off 19 Curzon Street was just what was needed to come home to. The ability to park the car walk into town or catch the bus at the end of the road was great, saving time and money looking for the elusive parking space. Well positioned to drive off to the dales and moors, we were able to dodge the rain and make it back to our holiday home in the quiet surroundings of the race course and the re-furbished “Terry’s” Chocolate Factory.
And for all you Park Run tourists - the friendly York Racecourse Park run is on your doorstep!
Lovely place, great location
Great family house, plenty of room for a family of five. The house had everything we needed for a week in York. Back garden is a sun trap, nice terrace for sitting/eating outside. Perfect location for seeing York, easy walk into the city centre.
“Thank you for your very kind comments, I’m very pleased that you liked the house and the lovely weather allowed you to make full use of the outside space. York is a very special place, I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit.”
Very well equipped accommodation
We were a group of six adults staying in York for a family wedding. We found the accommodation to be very well equipped (not just six of everything but plenty of spares) and spacious. We appreciated being able to sit outdoors on the small patio and the effort that had gone in to maintaining the little garden.
Big and comfortable
Very nice house, clean and comfortable for six people. It's just outside city centre which allows for some nice walks. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful and the house had everything we needed.
Great family home
We had a fortnight in Curzon Terrace in July 2018 and it was great. Kevin met us to give us the keys and to pass on some tips about local parks/eateries. The house was in a good location (for us) right next door to York racecourse and just round the corner from massive playing fields, which were great for the boys. Secure garden for our bikes (no shelter but it didn't rain!). Lovely spacious dining kitchen which was well equipped. House was very hot (but we did visit during a heatwave) and blackout blinds/curtains would have been useful to cut out light/heat. But really, it was a great holiday home, very cosy, short cycling trip to two parks (5 mins or less to rowntree park) and round the corner from a bus stop for days we didn't want to take the car to centre of York. You could walk to the centre (we did one day, mabye 25 mins?) but with the children and the heat, generally we cycled or took the bus. Great time, would certainly recommend it to families who want to be on in York, but not in the middle of the city. Lots of good off-road cycle tracks too.
