If you have questions about the house features, the location of the house, or transportation in the city, please be sure to read the entire description - almost every question you have is answered here! Especially important is the section titled 'getting around' which explains the very limited public transportation in Las Vegas and offers suggestions for getting around the city. More information is also provided in the detailed guest books located in each bedroom and the kitchen!
My house is not childproofed in any way, so please consider this if you are traveling with young children. Thank you! :)

About Jillian Mack
I am 38 years old and I thoroughly enjoy life! I think my personality strikes a good balance between organization and structure with spontaneity and enthusiasm! I recently married the love of my life, Ben! We are also business partners in everything we do - IT consulting and anything else that strikes our interests! I am originally from Ohio but I fell in love with the desert southwest when I visited for the first time a couple of years ago, and not long after decided to change my place of residence to this part of the country. I almost chose Phoenix, Arizona, but landed in Las Vegas, Nevada instead - a very fun and surprisingly pretty city. I was formerly an IT consultant full time, but these days I split my time between consulting and making a very enjoyable profession out of hosting guests and travelers from all over the world in my two Las Vegas homes. I have a busy schedule between IT clients and all the work it takes to manage two very large houses, but I always go the extra mile to give all my guests 5-star treatment and accommodations! When I do find free time I love to cook, but in the interest of good health I stick to organic, non-GMO, naturally raised, low carb, gluten free, and free of any refined carbohydrates, sugars, or starches. It makes for a lot of interesting experiments in the kitchen, but I've developed quite the knack for making delicious and nutritious meals this way! Setting up my business here in Las Vegas has kept me mostly stationary lately, but as soon as the opportunity for travel (which I love to do!) presents itself, I'll be back out exploring the world!
Jillian Mack purchased this House in 2014
Why Jillian Mack chose Silverado Ranch
We love that the property has such spectacular mountain views, which is incredibly rare for a house so close to The Strip and the airport! We are also very happy that our own home is just down the street so we are able to maintain both to our high standards, and provide the very best response time to guests if the need should arise!
What makes this House unique
My house is suitable for all types of travelers! Large families enjoy the infant amenities and game rooms, plentiful beds and bedrooms, spacious living area for socializing, well-stocked cupboards and pantry for cooking big meals, and large private backyard with mountain views, while business travelers love the five separate bedrooms, desks in each bedroom, and very strong wifi connection & speeds!

Beautiful property very hospitable owner
Great property! Very hospitable owner. Plenty of room and very upscale property.
Can't wait to return!!
Our family had an amazing stay in this home! Great location, close to everything. The home was super clean, and Jillian went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs and answered every message very quickly (which was SO appreciated when our 5 year old locked the door to one of the rooms and we couldn't find a key lol). The kitchen is fully stocked; we cooked often and never ran out of utensils or anything. Ceiling fans everywhere, central a/c, blinds and curtains to block out the hot Vegas sun. We had space to spread out, space to play (so nice to have the games right there to hang out with) just so much space, space, space!! We didn't use the backyard much so can't really comment on that, but the vast openness behind the house was a nice breath of fresh air; a real pleasure not to look out the windows and into a block wall. The layout of the home was perfect for our needs. The master walk-in closet is massive and converted into a nursery. We don't have babies who need a crib (too bad I didn't know about this place when the kiddos were younger!), but that glider in there gave me the perfect hideaway spot to read and have some peace and quiet away from the rest of the group. I wish I had a huge closet like that at home! Laundry room is upstairs, which I appreciated; Loved being able to wash the smoky smell of the casinos out, and love going home with clean clothes in my suitcase...unpack and voila! Done! This will be our go-to home whenever we visit Las Vegas. Can't wait to return!! Thank you, Jillian!! You were amazing!!
Great Family house!
This was our first VRBO experience and I have to say - we're fans! We were traveling with 3 kids (ages 12, 16 and 18) and had along my sister and her son (age 11) and Grandpa - so having the room downstairs for him was great! Loved all the fun games - pool table and the skeeball was a hit! Jillian's attention to detail was great! I loved the location of this house as well. Off the strip but easy to get to the strip, close enough to the airport, close to everything you could need. Wonderful and quiet neighborhood! Thank you!
Didn't need a crib - but loved the cute idea of making the walk in closet a nursery for those who need that!
Another outstanding experience
This is our second year staying in this house for our annual trade show. I can say without a doubt if it is available again next year, it will be our first choice.
I cannot say enough positive things about this house. It is clean, well thought out, comfortable, and conveniently located to the convention center and local shopping. Jillian's attention to detail is off the charts. She seriously has thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, glasses, and whatever you might need.
The directions provided for the house, the check in and check out protocols, and all amenities are clear and accessible.
Jillian is a gem to work with and will answer your questions quickly and effectively.
I highly recommend this house!!
Thank you, Sara! I'm so glad you had another great stay! It was wonderful to have your group again this year and I look forward to welcoming you again next year! Happy travels!
Felt like home
This home was very comfortable and peaceful. Close enough to anything you want to do; the strip, golf, and other entertainment venues. The view is amazing, sunrise and sunset and everything in between. The household entertainment is also a great option for staying in and chilling out. The neighborhood is quiet and the back yard is private even though the houses are close together. We kept joking we were going to buy this house! I would rent this home again for my next trip to Vegas if it is available. I was sorry to wake up in New Jersey today!
The only thing I would suggest is going food shopping before you arrive if you have time before check in. Condiments, spices and left over containers or wrap are available for cooking and saving food.
The owner is lovely, attentive and easily reachable.
Thank you Jillian and Ben!
Wonderful stay in Las Vegas *****
Very clean, orderly, well furnished home. The property was an easy 10 minute drive from the Strip, in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of shopping nearby.
Jillian was a very accommodating host, easy to work with, and very responsive by email. She always responded within minutes and made sure everything was just right.
Thanks Jillian for a wonderful stay in Las Vegas.
My house is in a quiet neighborhood where you can feel relaxed and at home, while still being close enough to the strip to enjoy the fantastic Las Vegas experience. From my house it is very easy to access everything by car: i-15 (2 minutes), the airport (10 minutes), The Strip (10 minutes but varies with traffic), the convention center (15 minutes but varies with traffic), downtown/old Vegas (25 minutes), Red Rock Canyon (30 minutes), and Hoover Dam / Lake Mead (40 minutes).
There is plenty of free street parking in my neighborhood, and you'll find all the conveniences you can imagine within a mile or two - a casino, restaurants, a movie theater, a bowling alley, a library, a park, outlet shopping, specialty shops, grocery stores, pubs, liquor and wine stores, sushi bars, ice cream parlors, fast food, and more!
Please be aware that Las Vegas (like the majority of the us) has very limited public transportation. If you want to stay off-strip anywhere in this city (not just my house) be aware that a round trip cab ride to the strip (about $50) will cost more than a car rental for the day (as low as $25).
Besides the obvious cost savings of renting a car vs. taking taxis, there are so many other things to see and do in Vegas besides the strip (like Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, or Fremont Street Experience), and having a car gives you the ability to access these things which a cab and public transportation cannot do.
However, if you don't bring a car or rent a car, there are several other options which many of my guests have used to get to and from the strip and the airport.
1) You can call a cab to my house (be prepared to wait 15-60 minutes depending on how busy the cabs are at the time you call...this is true for any residential home off-strip anywhere in the city!
2) You can FINALLY call an Uber to come to my house (Uber JUST arrived in Las Vegas this autumn). This will cost as much as a taxi but will arrive much sooner to your off-Strip location.
3) You can walk 15 minutes (1 mile) to South Point Casino and catch a cab at their taxi stand.
4) You can walk 15 minutes (1 mile) to South Point Casino and take their $8 per day shuttle to and from The Strip.
5) You can walk 15 minutes (1 mile) to the nearest bus stop on Las Vegas Blvd and take the city bus...but be prepared for a long ride...the 5 mile bus ride to The Strip will take over an hour!

I try to go the extra mile to make my home comfortable, clean, and inviting for my guests! I provide a detailed Guest Book that will probably answer more questions than you could think to ask, plus I offer recommendations for where to eat, shop, and play. I also provide area maps and travel guides which are updated regularly and which offer reviews and coupons for area attractions. And if all of these resources are still not enough, I am of course available by email or phone to answer your questions and offer my suggestions for the city!
