Stylish arts apartment in the heart of Broadstairs with restaurants and the bay
About Julia Urquhart
We love everything about the South East Coast, from art to music and food. Broadstairs is the perfect location for a quick getaway or longer break to discover all the coastline has to offer. We purchased this place as a family retreat and are very excited to offer such great views, handy location for restaurants and space away from life! Perfect for people like us that need an escape every so often :) Just don't tell anyone else about it, our secret.

Why Julia Urquhart chose Broadstairs and St. Peters
The property benefits from being right next door to the entrance to the bay and opposite the Victorian children's amusements, quaint Palace Cinema and all the restaurants with fantastic views over the bay. It is convenient, stylish and relaxing, a true gem in Broadstairs with convenience as key!

We only stayed one night but it was ideal, just what we wanted, had everything we needed and would'nt mind staying a bit longer next time. Only downside is that when the pubs turn out it's a bit noisy for about an hour, but that did not bother us.
Thanks so much for your review, really glad you enjoyed the stay. The apartment is right in the heart of Broadstairs with its bars and restaurants and very close to the beach, so a great base to explore or for those wanting an easy seaside break!
Great little base to explore Thanet
Had a really nice time staying in this smart, well equipped flat on a recent short break. Loved the sea view. It's in a great location, close to the beach and great coastal walks, lots of good restaurants nearby. There's a couple of pubs nearby that are a bit noisy, but not too bad after 11pm. The flat is located right in the town centre so a little "life" is to be expected. Broadstairs is by far the best place to stay in of the three main three towns in Thanet. There's a regular "loop" bus traveling between all of them. A great base to explore all three.
Nice weekend break in Broadstairs
The apartment was ideally situated and you can see the sea from the living/dining room. The kitchen had everything you need and bed was comfortable.
Blue Flag sandy beaches; a delightful range of independent shops in the traditional High Street, cliff top walks to neighbouring Ramsgate and Margate, Mini-golf, beachside cafes, cosmopolitan restaurants, literary, culinary and musical festivals, plus a gem of a cinema and a community theatre - Broadstairs has everything!
Broadstairs is famed for Charles Dickens famous holiday home and novel of the same name Bleak House. Many of the characters in Dickens novels were inspired by the area and you can visit some of the places Dickens wrote his books, such as David Copperfield, alongside the Dickens Museum.
If it is contemporary art you love then Broadstairs and neighboring Margate offer world class exhibits alongside independent galleries and studio spaces. www.southeastcoastartmap have up to date listings on what is happening in the area and walking tours you can join. The newly opened Dreamland is a Victorian Pleasure park, complete with rollercoaster and tea cup ride, definitely worth a visit.
Just 90 minutes from London St Pancras International thanks to the new high speed rail link, so no need for a car, the apartment is a 5 minute downhill walk from the station.
You can get to neighboring Margate via bus or train and Ramsgate via bus. We would recommend walking along the different bays to discover hidden areas, you can walk to either Margate or Ramsgate and along to the nearby Botany Bay or Joss Bay, famed for surfing. Cycling is also great along the promenade.
