Clean, comfy East Village style. The garden was a delight.

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I were "upgraded" to the garden level apartment (with a patio & garden, see photo) because she has a wheelchair. Even though the first floor was only up about 10-12 steps, I can't tell you how grateful I was not to have to carry the wheelchair up the steps. The apartment was clean and Tony and Lee could not have been more helpful getting us settled. The only windows were to the patio, but it was so lovely that we did not mind. It was also quiet, being on the back side of the building. The East Village is terrific -- so many eating spots and lots of energy. All in all, a delightful trip. Thank you Irma, Tony and Lee.

Newport Beach CA

Funky, eclectic apartment in an eclectic neighborhood.

  • 4 of 5

Great location in lower east side. Lots of energy in the neighborhood. Easy walk to restaurants an d subways. We stayed 8 nights. The apartments and the building need some TLC. Overall satisfactory but not great.

A pleasant East Village retreat

  • 3 of 5

There are some positives and negatives about this pleasant apartment. Number 1 and, most importantly, Tony, who manages the apartment, is one of the nicest, most available people we have had the pleasure of working with. He is ALWAYS there for you, beginning to end. He will answer any questions you may have and offer recommendations on just about any subject. He is a gem!!!!!

Our misgivings about the apartment is the lack of light and the furniture is not very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable but the chairs and couches were not. We did not spend a lot of time in the apartment so it didn't bother us very much. For a stay of a few days, the lack of comfort would not be an issue.

The apartment is VERY well equipped, even a washer/dryer. They even left soap for the washing machine. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom and the shower was great. Another positive was the small patio off the bedroom. If the weather is nice, it's a nice place to be and a change from the darkness of the apartment.

The location in the East Village is great....a short walk to everything and New York is the best walking city EVER!!!!

In conclusion, if you are bothered by a small dark apartment, it isn't for you but, if you don't let it bug you, you will enjoy Manhattan and the greatest manager an apartment could ever ask for.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I presume you stayed in apartment #6 (the warhol apartment) because all others have double height ceilings and lots of light. But thank you for pointing it out, I shall write on the description more clearly that it does not get a lot of light from the windows! Happy you enjoyed your stay

Really nice apartment in a great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in the ground floor apartment. It is very nicely furnished, with a terrific bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen area. The beds were super comfy, with great mattresses and really nice, quality, bedding. The apartment is located in the heart of the East Village, which is a wonderful, vibrant neighborhood, with an amazing array of excellent restaurants and easy access to 3 different subway lines. The restaurants alone are reason to visit ( and never stray far from) this neighborhood. Most of the world's great cuisines can be found within 4 or 5 blocks of the apartment. Just that block where the apartment is located has 6 different national cuisines. This neighborhood really comes alive at night, but despite that, the apartment was remarkably quiet. Arrival and departure were seamless, with great communication by Irma and her assistants. We look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful location, accomodating hosts

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was perfect for our 3-generation family trip. Easy access to public transportation, many wonderful restaurants nearby. We loved the East Village neighborhood, and all of us agreed that staying here instead of a hotel added so much to the experience. Thank you!

Cozy East Village studio

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for one week. Comfortable bed, great bathroom, smallish kitchen. Close to great restaurants and easy to the rest of the city. Stairs to the second floor a bit steep. If you have trouble with stairs, make sure you check the floor since there are a number of units on different floors. Lee, who helped us check in was great.
