Refurb Inside & Out, relaxing and easy access to all of the cape

Our home is a two bedroom/2 bath 4-plex condo on the gulfside of the cape with beautiful views located mid-point of the Cape San Blas Road. It has been refurbished inside and out and is waiting for visitors to enjoy. It has all new appliances, laminate, bathroom remodels, and fun eclectic beach furnishings to make for a relaxing visit. Two queen-size beds with linens and towels will help to make your visit special. A flat screen TV is over the mantle with cable and internet available. There is a DVD player with movies, games and books for all. Relax and enjoy!

We had been coming here for several years and finally were able to find our own escape and put our personal touches into a getaway place for family and friends to enjoy. The quiet and relaxation for adults goes along with the many activities for young and old. You can set up your beach umbrellas for the day and know that you will always have your special spot. Walking the beaches is a real treat too because they seem to go on forever without interruption and the shells and sea life are truly amazing. Don't ever forget the sunsets here because you won't be disappointed. They are the best!

Great beach vacation

A short walk to the beach with a great porch to relax and listen to the ocean. There are buildings between you and the beach so the view from the porch isn’t great. The place is roomy and worked well for us and our dog. The porch was especially nice for the dog and it was a pretty pet friendly beach. We look forward to our next visit to the area. Sue was a great host and gave us ideas for restaurants and car repair shops when our vehicle needed to be checked

Less than I expected

Okay, if you just want a quick walk to the beach, it's okay, although the path there is a bit tricky through a cut in the sand dune. Had I looked at the address on Google Earth and seen the 2 structures between this unit and the beach, I would have made another choice. Guess I didn't ask the right question: I asked if it was "on the beach" and I should have asked "does it have an unobstructed beach/water view?" We do like to hang on the beach, but we also enjoy sitting on the balcony or deck and watching the water, sunrise or sunset, etc. Yes, there is a bit of a water view between two buildings if you sit in the right place, and a bit from the side windows - but not what I really wanted.

The unit is fairly well appointed as far as supplies, furniture, etc., and what the kitchen has is adequate for most needs. Some of it is showing it's age - new carpets would be nice, better pillows in the master bedroom, such like that, but there weren't any maintenance issues other than a few places on the back deck which should be tended to. There is no grill, which would be nice.

When you go to get groceries, try the Dollar General Market in Port St Joe (the little convenience store is very pricey, as those places usually are, but the people are very nice), and be sure to pick up toilet paper - not much is supplied, which was a surprise to me from my experience elsewhere. Otherwise, we had enough of what one would expect: towels, dishes, some leftover laundry soap (and we were thankful for the laundry facilities, which are included), some leftover spices and stuff like that. A packet of dishwasher soap is there, enough for 3 loads - not sufficient for 4 people there a week, so the last 2 days we handwashed everything.

Again, for what I was really looking for, this wasn't it. For a small family (sleeps 4 in 2 beds) or some friends looking to just hang out on the beach, this might be just right. I just happen to like seeing the beach and water without having to be on it to do so.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was well stocked and maintained. The surf fishing was great. We lots of large shells on the beach. Will definitely be coming back to the Cape again and would recommend to others.

Perfect place for our perfect vacation!

The property was so nice. The bed was so comfy. Everything was clean and it was very well stocked. I have been use to past properties telling you to bring soaps, paper goods and such so I did....but they were supplied. Hair driers in both bathrooms. Plenty of towels. Very few steps to the beach. Couldn't have asked for anything more for the price! Sue was so good to work with. Even though check in was 4pm she let us know that it would be cleaned and ready by noon. I thought that was very nice of her. After we got there we decided to stay a couple more days. She and I worked that all out without any troubles. A wonderful week!

Located on the ocean side of Cape San Blas you are just seconds away from the beautiful beaches. This area has no public access nearby so you will be enjoying a quiet family area. Dogs are allowed on the beaches on a leash (please). There is a pedestrian and bicycle path on the bay side of the road for a lovely stroll or ride through the area. There are two public parks on the cape with plenty of outdoor activities and of course St Joseph Peninsula State Park at the end of the cape for all kinds of nature activities in this wilderness preserve.

There are marinas in the area for boat rentals and fishing trips and beach horseback riding. Shells are always abundant on the shores all around the cape.

There is gas and food supplies and restaurants close by and if you need to go shopping or antiquing Port St Joe and Appalachicola have old downtown areas with small shops and eateries for a fun day or out for the evening you can travel to Port St. Joe or a little further on is Panama City.

But our home and the cape is first and foremost where you would want to just stay and relax, enjoy your time away and know that you will leave here with a smile.
