Awesome House !!!!

  • 5 of 5

Casa Verde was a perfect match for our vacation. It was setback off the road for privacy but still very close to shops, restaurants and the beach. The house had plenty of room for the six of us (my parents, wife and I and 2 young kids). We felt very safe, comfortable and had no worries at all when we left on adventures because the house is very secure. Our kids loved the pool, as well as us and it was very refreshing after a day at the beach. There was also plenty of sun on the pool area through out the midday. We had a nice cool breeze throughout the main living area all day and the A/C units in the bedrooms were ice cold at night. The kitchen area was very spacious, had a great island to hang out at and was well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the jungle feel of Casa Verde since it is surrounded by trees and wildlife. The monkeys would visit daily in the trees, really giving us that Costa Rica experience. The owner Luis was very helpful in answering all of our questions and was very easy to get in touch with. He made our trip that much easier and we would definitely stay here/recommend Casa Verde for a great vacation. PURA VIDA

Casa Verde is a bonita casa!

  • 5 of 5

The house is tucked back off a great road with shops and restaurants. It has a brand new water tank that insured we never ran out of water. Sometimes the towns cut off water at night between (usually from Feb to May). We heard other people had problems at their homes but we had no issues at Casa Verde with water supply since the tank was so large.

We loved walking to the beach everyday and my children enjoyed getting ice cream next door and playing at the playground. Francinny was really helpful when we were onsite and helped coordinate some excursions for us.

This was one of the best trips I have ever taken and the house played a big part in that.

Great House and Location!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just got back from Nosara and had one of the best trips ever!

The owner of Casa Verde was fantastic in helping us with travel prep and info - once we got onsite Francinny, the prop mgr was great in helping us get situated. Casa Verde is very close to a market, playground, great restaurants and the beach. The house is well kept with new appliances and is quite spacious. It also has a great pool for lounging around and relaxing. Luis and Francinny really went above and beyond to make our stay fabolous.

We can't wait to go back!

  • 5 of 5

Casa Verde & Nosara made our first family vacation with our 3 yr old son an unforgettable trip. The house was spacious, clean, equipped with everything we needed, and was in a great location. We'd spent the mornings and sunsets at the beach, and used the pool for a cool afternoon break. There were a variety of restaurants in the area, but our favorite place was drinks and dinner during sunset at La Luna. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent Turkish food at La Casa, which is down the street from Casa Verde. I got away to a yoga class at Bodhi Tree, which has open air studios. The owner and property manager were extremely helpful with all our questions, and always got back to us promptly. I highly recommend this home to friends!

Dry season - water only available 8 hours a day

  • 3 of 5

When we arrived in Nosara at 6:30 PM after 18.5 hours of travel, tired, hungry and gritty from the dusty roads, the property manager informed us that water is shut off every day 5 to 5. There was no mention of this prior to our arrival, and it was actually more like 4:15 PM to 8:30 AM - one day it was 10 AM. Water shortage aside, the house is very nice and was recently painted. The pool is a godsend as it affords you a refreshing dip before bed. We drew pitchers of water through the day for beside the sink, and caught the condensate from the air conditioners to flush during the water shut off. The outside shower is nice. If you time it right, there is a washer and dryer. The house is an easy walk to a small store and a number of good restaurants and a bakery. We saw howler monkeys several times. The walk to the beach is pleasant, especially if you find the path, there should be a map to it in the house.

Owner's Response: It's unfortunate that this guest was so negative considering that Nosara as a town has been suffering a bit of a drought over the last few weeks. She did not endure anything that everyone else in the town was dealing with. Water was shut off in the town overnight and Casa Verde's back up tank did not last and that was remedied and improved. After March this will not be an issue as it will rain more often. In addition, I encourage all of our guests to buy water for personal consumption which she did not want to....which is little crazy as everyone I know buys drinking water. Nevertheless, everyone else that has ever stayed loves the house and setup....and so do I! Pura Vida

Beautiful House - Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Casa Verde with my family and we had the best trip of our lives! The road that is on was recently renovated with new shops and restaurants - all construction has been completed and now the immediate area looks awesome. The house is right next to a market and a few stores and about a 2 min walk to the northern beach entrance in Playa Guiones.

The owner was very easy to deal with and his property mgr works next door to the house which made it easy to check in and out - Francinny the prop mgr also helped us with airport pick ups and booking excursions - she was like a personal concierge.

Nosara is teeming with wildlife and boasts some of the best and most consistent surf in the Costa Rica. Homes, hotels, restaurants and businesses are spread out over several miles–often hidden among the trees and dense vegetation. A large community of international residents resides here, most of whom are intent on keeping development and over-building to a minimum. Still, Nosara is growing.

The beaches of Nosara area includes the beachside communities of Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, as well as the puebla of Nosara. Beach communities border the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, which stretches for 15km from the northern end of Playa Ostional to the southern end of Playa Guiones. Within the refuge, the first two hundred meters of beachfront is protected land–home to hundreds of howler monkeys, iguanas, pizotes, and birds.
