About Mrs Maria Holliday-Welch
Growing up and working around Brighton and Hove I have great pleasure in introducing people to the area and what better way than by this property which allows large groups to come together and enjoy the best of the south coast.
Why Mrs Maria Holliday-Welch chose Seafront
Growing up around Brighton and Hove I appreciate the Seafront and with this property it has a real home feeling but on a large scale with great walks along the seafront and the availability of all the sightseeing as well.
What makes this House unique
This house is the largest holiday letting in Brighton and Hove and with the enclosed area it is your own private space with all the amenities to relax and spend time with all the family, even pets upon request. We also welcome stag and hen parties and with the location it is perfect to relax just away from the busy city life but close enough to be at the main club strip by a 5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk. We also welcome work places to use the large available space to conduct team building trips and with the all year round availability we are perfect for any occasion.

Great place to stay
We love the property
Lovely rooms and huge amounts of space, very pleased with the choice and will happily recommend to others and stay again in the future 😃
The house was amazing
Went for my 50th birthday with 23 ladies the house was so clean and had everything you needed will definitely go back again
Easter in the Beach House
I did not make it to the party, but every man jack of those who did, thoroughly enjoyed the sunny experience, finding it spacious and well equipped.
Only hiccup was a leaking basin in 4 - but that was okay as we had a plumber in our midst.
Fantastic property manager but house is tired
For the very expensive nightly rate, I was expecting a much higher standard in the decor and quality frankly. I understand if you need 13 bedrooms for a sloppy hen-do, fantastic. But the actual state of the house really needs attention. Fire doors still everywhere (one that beeped at 330 in the morning for no reason) and tired paint and 1950's sofas. The manager of house could not have been more helpful---really lovely and easy to access lady Lindzi.
The house is an old B and B that was retro-fitted into a "beach house". It is right on the Kingsway and the sound of traffic at all hours is very apparent. The kitchens are very small and make sure you bring your own tea and even paper towels as the house provides no amenities. Not even salt!! Seemed very mean considering the price.
Kim is a pleasant lady and was a pleasure to deal with before the stay its self. Unfortunately, Kim booked something unsuitable for her needs. It was just Kim (and sometimes her daughter) in the house with her dog. This is a very large detached house (nearly 30 rooms, over 3 floors) and it is normally booked by large groups and families who find the accommodation and location perfect for their needs. I think the size and noises of an unfamiliar house made Kim feel anxious. This led to a number of call outs to us in a bit of a panic. Kim burnt dinner so badly the fire alarms were set off and whilst this was out of our control, Kim was very upset with us that this had happened and that she had burnt herself in the process. We had previously issued a partial refund to Kim, as a gesture of goodwill, after having already reduced the rate of the property for reduced occupancy. We have a team that are always on the end of the phone and who can rectify any problems, change light bulbs, top up tea etc and many of these members tried to help Kim enjoy her stay. Unfortunately, the property just wasn’t suitable for Kim and I would recommend that any traveller take the time to understand the type of property they are booking. I can understand such a large property wouldn’t make financial sense to book for just a couple of people, we considered Kim’s comments regarding the décor to be subjective as the house is continually updated. Please feel free to visit the property or if that is not possible, we are happy to show potential guests around via a facetime link. There is lots of information and pictures on the property listing page here on HomeAway and this should help guide you when making a booking. Our guests love staying at The Beach House and we are sorry that Kim didn’t. Wishing Kim the best of luck with other homes she lets.
