Guestbook comments from the manager

A place of beauty and family relaxation! We loved the pine cone theme and openness or your home, right by the Mickelson Trail…yes! Thanks for the comforting getaway! Our grandkids loved riding their bikes on the Minor Lake Circle.

Our stay was AMAZING! Everything that we needed was right there.

  • 5 of 5

The home was beautiful and had everything we needed to make a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and celebrate an early Christmas with our family. We will definitely take advantage of this again. Thank you so much!

Beautiful Home & Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful vacation in the Black Hills, and this house was perfect for our needs. It was centrally located to everything. We had a country location, but the grocery store and restaurants were just minutes away. The Mickelson Trail was very close, and we enjoyed it and the scenery it offered. Every night, deer would wonder around the neighborhood. The gas stove was very useful at night to take the chill off. We loved the décor, and the beds were very comfortable. Our only regret is that the hot tub was not working properly as only three jets were working. There were even two recliners and a double recliner sofa for the guys to stretch out at night. Overall, we enjoyed staying here very much and would recommend it to other friends and family.

Note: there are only 2 bathrooms, not 2.5.

Perfect Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This property was absolutely beautiful! I had expected it to be a little more rural, but the location ended up being perfect for us. The house was exactly what I had hoped it would be - it was big yet cozy, stocked with more than I would have imagined, the hot tub was great, and I enjoyed reading on the patio. I wouldn't change a thing!

Perfect place to stay in Black Hill country!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property and it fit our extended family (grandparents, 2 adult children & 2 grandchildren)perfectly. The grandchildren loved having the loft area for themselves. Beds were very comfortable and the home is clean and in great condition with lovely log cabin décor. Kitchen has everything needed to cook meals. Spa is great for relaxing after a long day of seeing the sights. Enjoyed seeing the deer and Canada geese every morning and evening right outside the house. A perfect place to stay for visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, Badlands, Hot Springs Mammoth Site, Wind Cave National Park, and Jewel Cave National Monument. We stayed 4 nights and I would definitely recommend this rental to friends and family.

Great location in the heart of the hills.

  • 5 of 5

Super clean. Everything you need. You can sit on the patio in the evening (or relax in the hot tub) and listen to the owls. The deer come up into the nearby meadows and drink from the stream. If you live near a city, you won't believe the amazing night sky - millions of stars. The weather was very hot in Rapid City, but in Hill City it was so comfortable.
