RELAX IN PARADISE ON BIG SEBAGO LAKE-Fish, Boat, Swim, Day-trip, Dine and more

Marian purchased this Cottage in 2000
Why Marian chose Raymond
Stay at our 5-star cottage and enjoy Maple Sunday, Naples Blues Festivals, car shows, uncrowded golf courses, fishing, boating, sports, fine dining, recreation, fun and relaxing amid the beautiful surroundings. We take great pride in our cottage and keep it in immaculate shape and clean. Another one of our goals is to supply guest renters with an experience greater than what they expected. The cottage is located on an acre of land with lots of flowers and a grassy lawn. There's a sandy beach and a deep-water dock for a boat. We bought this property because it borders our next door home. Waterfront properties such as this don't come on the market frequently. Plus it has a beautiful view and is a level acre of land.
What makes this Cottage unique
We consider this location on Big Sebago Lake as 'Paradise', which is why our home is located next door. Please read the many reviews by guests who have stayed at the cottage. Due to our guests' allergies we do not allow pets or smoking in the cottage or on the property grounds. Marian and I personally clean the cottage, and groom the flower beds to make things as tidy and attractive as possible. The lawn is mowed by a service company usually on a weekly basis or as needed. The neighborhood is very quiet therefore only a maximum of 6 people are allowed on the property or in the cottage at any time. SPRINGTIME ACTIVITIES We invite you to enjoy some of the spring events that celebrate life, great food, nature, art, festivals, fun, and relaxation. Our cottage is located on Sebago Lake, the seventh cleanest lake in the world, and the home of land-locked salmon, The cottage is conveniently located forty minutes from Portland, a city with fabulous restaurants and opportunities to take whale watching and island tours. We are also within driving distance to Boston, New Hampshire, Boothbay, Kennebunkport, L.L. Bean, and several outlet malls. Just like the spring bulbs burst into color, spring brings color to Maine. The possibilities are endless: Hike, bike and enjoy the outdoors. Visit Maine's famous Botanical Gardens. Kennebunkport Festival. Old Port Festival. Boating and fishing. Gem by the lake
The perfect place to revitalize body and spirit. Quiet, clean and beautiful. Marian is a gracious host .Amenities and attention to detail let you be as connected or disconnected as you wish.
I would highly recommend.
Great cottage on the lake
This is a pretty cottage on Lake Sebago. It's clean and quiet and great for a relaxing vacation. We brought our bikes and rode around the state park. We also went for a couple of walks in the park as well as a rail trail we found. This is a great place for couples who want to relax.
Many of our renters have mentioned that cycling through Sebago Lake State Park was one of the highlights of their vacation. Generally they had lunch on Songo Beach and enjoyed watching the wildlife there. Other guests have enjoyed hiking the many local trails. Douglas Mountain Preserve, with its 169 acres, offers wonderful views from the summit. Our cottage is so centrally located that there are so many diverse opportunities for exploring and relaxing.
A Week in Paradise
This perfectly equipped cottage on one of the most beautiful lots on Sebago Lake is the place to spend a relaxing vacation in summer or fall. This is our second time here, and it feels like coming home! The owner provides a personal welcome and ensures that everything is ready, including a fresh fruit pie and ice cream. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to fix lobster, or you can purchase and have lobsters steamed at the nearby grocery store. You can swim from beach or dock, take out the canoe, or fish. Or you can sit in the sun in comfortable lawn and deck chairs and enjoy the changing light and color on the lake, morning, afternoon, and evening. Even a rainy day is peaceful and cozy, and there is great wi-fi, t.v., and lots of games and puzzles.
Raymond and nearby Windham and Naples offer everything you might need, or it is an easy trip to Portland, Ogunquit, and other popular Maine tourist spots. We’ll be back!
Dear John and Priscilla,
This your second visit to our cottage, and I am so glad you had a wonderful week. Sebago Lake is a long way from Texas, and I am glad our cottage feels like home. Thank you for treating our cottage like home as you left just as you found it. We also love to share the beauty of the lake as the views are magnificent and look forward to your return.
It's all good!
I recently spent a week at this charming cottage on Jordan Bay in Raymond. The cottage decor was so adorable with knotty pine interior, good size master bedroom, bunk bedroom and a loft sleeping area that children would love. I loved the large bathroom that included a tub/shower unit as well as a private toilet area. The kitchen was well equipped with every utensil or appliance one could possibly need and the cozy living room included an ultra HD TV. Every cabinet held games, puzzles, books and DVD's for your entertainment.
Best of all was the large yard with several comfortable lawn chairs and a row boat and dock that had the most wonderful view of Jordan Bay. We spent many evenings there enjoying the view until the sun set.
Thank you for taking the time to review our cottage. I try to anticipate any needs our guests might have so that most everything is at the cottage; therefore the guests can enjoy the charm and beauty of Sebago Lake rather than spending time shopping for their needed items. The loft is always a favorite place for the children as is the large lawn for them to play games.
The adults appreciate the magnificent view and the opportunity to relax.
I am pleased you had the opportunity to enjoy our little piece of paradise.
Sweet Waterfront Cottage In A Peaceful Neighborhood
We just returned home from staying in this sweet cottage on the water at Sebago Lake. We’d resisted renting a lakeside cottage in the past, because so many I’d seen online seemed thrown together with leftover furniture or surrounded by other camps on all sides, or were lovely yet too pricey for us. Marian and Bob’s cottage caught our eye and we were lucky enough to reserve it in the early spring for an August stay.
An acre of thick lawn extends to the water with flowerbeds, rockers and lounges. The breeze off the water was perfect. Relaxing there on the lawn under the trees each day was so peaceful. Our teenage son fished everyday with his motorboat. The dock is new and boats can be pulled up on the sandy beach or moored overnight. The water was crystal clear! So beautiful! Jordan Bay is a lovely part of the lake. There are many spots to relax outdoors on the property. There are chairs and a picnic table at the sandy beach, and a dining table and cushioned rockers on the porch to enjoy as well. The location is perfect and a quick drive to stores and restaurants in Raymond and Windham. The furniture in the cottage was charming and comfortable and all rooms were clean and tidy. A homemade pie and local ice cream was waiting for us in the fridge, as well as a welcome gift. So many special touches!
One of the reviews here mentioned that you couldn’t go wrong with renting this cottage. I agree! It’s a very special place.
Marian was in contact with us many times regarding receipts, to say “We’re looking forward to your visit”, as well as checking that all was well during our stay. When I called her to tell her we were checking out and to thank her for her kindness, she asked if there was anything we thought they could have done to make our stay even better! This is a little slice of heaven with angel caretakers.
Thank you, Marian and Bob, for sharing your lovely cottage.
