A dining table and chairs for 4 people, an open-plan fitted kitchen with new integrated appliances, comfortable double bedroom (with sliding door for privacy) built-in storage and a smart bathroom with walk-in shower ensure a comfortable stay. This apartment is perfect for visitors to London, whether for work or vacation. Sloane Square and South Kensington Tube (underground) stations are just 5 minutes’ walk away making it easy to explore London quickly and easily. The West End Shops and Theatreland are only 10 minutes away by tube and Canary Wharf 15 minutes.

Over the road you will find a mini-supermarket, and Starbucks Coffee shop and on the Kings Road and Sloane Square, numerous banks with ATM’s. A black cab taxi rank is outside.

Having Nell Gwynn House as your base for exploring London is a smart move. Not only is the apartment just a 5 minute walk to the tube, but if you want to keep it local, there is plenty to see and do on your doorstep. Imagine leaving your apartment and taking a short stroll to the centre of designer shopping on the Kings Road, Sloane Street and Knightsbridge (Harrods!) passing Chanel, Prada, Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney to name a few.

Take another short walk and in 10 minutes you will arrive at the museums on Exhibition Road in South Kensington. Visit Dippy the diplodocus at the natural history museum, explore the wonders of the world at the science museum and gaze in awe at the delights in the Victoria and Albert museum. Getting to us:

Transport links to the property - by plane, the closest airport is Heathrow. Either take the Heathrow Express to Paddington station and take a taxi, the journey will take 20 minutes or take the tube (Piccadilly line) to South Kensington station, with a 5 minute taxi ride.

Another alternative is Gatwick airport. The Gatwick Express brings you directly to Victoria station, the taxi ride will take 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can go on the tube at Victoria, take the district or circle line to South Kensington or Sloane Square, the taxi ride will be 5 minutes long.

By train, take the Eurostar at St Pancras International station, taxi ride will take 20 minutes to the property.

Excellent Property

My wife and I spent a week here. Very clean apartment in a terrific location.

Close to grocery and excellent restaurants.

The one snag we encountered was the combination washer/dryer. This particular appliance is much different than those in the states and we found the operation to be challenging. We did find the instructions to the appliance but it took a great deal of time to figure out the operation. A short "quick guide" to its operation would have been appreciated.

Over all we were very satisfied with our stay.

Fabulous apartment in great location

I stayed 12 nights and would loved to have stayed longer. The apartment was clean, quiet, warm, furnishings new and the bed was best of all .....very very comfortable. I was delighted with the vase of fresh flowers on arrival which made the apartment very welcoming. The building and apartment seemed safe and secure especially for a lone traveler. The charming on site manager 'Fiona' was extremely helpful and I felt nothing would be too much trouble for her. Can't wait to stay again next time I visit London.

Very good apartment in great location

We enjoyed our stay very much.

The location was superb, it does not get better than that.

The apartment building was excellent.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped.

Bed is comfortable, Floors brand new and most importantly NO CARPET.

Bathroom is small and is missing a hook for clothing. Toilet seat was too small and loose.

Cleaning in general was good except for dustball under the bed. Maid should be reminded to vacuum under bed

Poor cleaning of the building. Noisy neighborhood. Apartment overall is fine, recommended for no more than 2 people. Staff was very kind and helpful. Location is very convenient .

Unfortunately we are not responsible for the cleaning of the communal areas and had we been made aware of an issue we could have asked for it to be rectified. Similarly, had we known that your neighbours were being noisy, either the porters or ourselves could have spoken to them - this is not a regular occurrence so I can only apologise. It is true that the apartment is in the heart of Chelsea - this is why Nell Gwynn House is so convenient for our guests who wish to sight-see and choose the building for just that reason. I am also sorry that you felt the apartment only suited a maximum of 2 guests. We have had many families happily stay in 227 and have found there to be ample space to accommodate them all comfortably as demonstrated by their feedback. I am pleased that you found our team helpful and kind - I do hope that you will consider staying with us next time you are in London. We have many other apartments that you may wish to try and we would be happy to assist you in selecting one that may be more suitable for your requirements. Lovely apartment in a great location!

Lovely flat in a terrific neighborhood, about 7 mins walk to the tube.

GREAT location with many wonderful restaurants, shops and more nearby.

The staff was friendly and quite helpful (special thanks to Fiona!), the room was exactly as pictured and very quiet.

We couldn't have made a better choice in our price range, and I would book it again in a heart beat.

Great Location!

Loved the area! Shopping very close, tons of restaurants nearby, and the grocery store was just across the street. Two tube stations within walking distance, and sloane square was quite close as well- tons of shops and restaurants. The building was great, porters were available 24/7, and felt very safe. The apartment was best suited for one person or a couple, not a lot of hanging space, but was perfect for just me!

This bright apartment is situated in an iconic art deco building in the heart of the fashionable Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the epicentre of all that's great about London.

The apartment is perfectly located for vacations, shopping and work. It is just a few minutes’ walk from the designer shopping, bars and numerous Michelin starred fine-dining restaurants on the Kings Road and Sloane Street, not to mention Knightsbridge - home of the world's best department store - Harrods - just a 10 minute walk away.

Take a stroll around the corner into South Kensington and you will find major tourist attractions including the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, as well as the other museums to be found on Exhibition Road. Nearby are the delights of Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and Gardens and the Albert Memorial.

There are numerous entertainment venues in the vicinity including the Royal Court Theatre, The Royal Albert Hall and the Cadogan Concert Hall, just two minutes’ walk from Sloane Square.
