Penthouse accomodations and views WITHOUT the steps !

Perfect for the extended family or those wanting more room to spread out, this 2nd floor condo provides that! It has 3 large bedrooms, each with it's own on-suite bathroom and it's own porch area.

It also has 2 large living areas, one of which is considered the TV room, and the other which is beach front has a large built-in bar. As the center point of the condo, the kitchen: large and equipped, has it's own bar, and is adjacent to the dining room.

With the open floor plan and spaciousness of this condo, it is perfect for the family/friend reunion, and yet provides ample areas of privacy for those alone moments.

Being on the 2nd floor, it has the best of both worlds: Penthouse views of both Half Moon Bay and the Mayan jungle WITHOUT the penthouse steps!

Our complex, La Sirena, is known for its wonderful tropical gardens which attract migrating butterflies, hummingbirds and even the occasional monkey! Within the gardens is our large pool boasting Caribbean blue tiles and even a large lap lane. This is a favored place to relax after time spent on the beach and sand.

La Sirena is located on the northern end of Half Moon Bay, now called North Akumal. As two lots were combined to create our complex, we have double the space AND BEACH as other complexes having the same amount of units.

Akumal is sixty miles south of Cancun International Airport, south on the four lane, newly renovated highway 307. Half Moon Bay (HMB) s considered the 'original' Akumal, along with Akumal Bay. HMB is where most of the beachfront houses and small condo complexes are; and is a designated ecological zone, therefore it is very low density. So while you are close to everything you are in the middle of nowhere as it is very private and quieter. North Akumal is a quiet, laid-back area focused on our beautiful bay and beaches, snorkeling and pristine diving. There are Mayan ruins, golf, nature parks, cenotes, even active nightlife.

About Diana

This condo was purchased as a family vacation spot and not rented for many years. As the family has grown and members are moving around, we have decided to rent it so that others can enjoy what we have.

Why Diana chose Quintana Roo

Half Moon Bay is a wonderful very low-density populated community. We love feeling as though we are truely away from it all, but still being only 15 minutes from everything. We have a wonderful large pool, as well as gardens and no crowds on the beach. The set up of our building is such that it feels more like attached houses, not condos.

What makes this condo unique

There are so much more space in our complex that people don't feel on top of each other. We can be on the beach area or also in the gardens and around our pool. Our complex is also unique in that no one is up against the road.

Our beach faces south and west so we have the very best sunset views. It has become a tradition for resident sunset happy hour on our beach. Our location is perfect!

We loved it!

This was my first experience with VRBO....and as my husband and I were traveling with another family....this is something that we all felt that we were going into "uncharted waters"........and IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!! We loved the condo...thank you SO much, Diana for sharing your absolutely lovely 2nd home with us! It was a pleasure in working with Diana and the property management staff....the highest of praise for all of you and this wonderful experience!

Nice condo, can't get my deposit back

i stayed here in August 2015 . Nice big condo, however there was a humongous cockroach in the master bathroom shower when we arrived! I enjoyed the pool and Alfredo was very helpful. The manager Diana will not give me my deposit back in full, because I paid with PayPal like she advised. I wanted to use my credit card for security purposes. I also rented her personal condo out for her last minute and she still has not paid me!

Owner's Response: I'm very sorry to see this review, as it is inaccurate. During this guests' stay, they broke 2 fairly new patio chairs, and also a few kitchen items. The rental agreement clearly states: "refundable after your stay, and is based on no excess wear or damages occurring during your stay." We always try to be lenient, as there are accidents; but this was just too much. Regarding payment, the guest was given the various option types, and explained per the rental agreement "Any bank type fee, including PayPal fees or foreign transaction conversions will be the responsibility of the rentee." It was her decision which approach she chose. Underpayment is deducted from the security deposit. The guest DID receive more than the appropriate security deposit refund given all of the above. Regarding the insect, yes as the condo had been sprayed just before her stay. As Akumal is effectively in the jungle, fumigation is a frequent requirement. We apologize that she had to see it. Our condos are our second homes, and we ask they be treated with kindness.

So while you are close to everything you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere because its very private and quieter.

All types of water sports are available, including deep sea fishing and swimming with dolphins. There are also many close by activities, Nature Parks, Hiking/Walking, and Museums. Being a center of strong ecological conservation, Akumal has incredible snorkeling and some of the best diving in the Caribbean, being on the Meso-American reef (2nd longest reef system in the world), With an established environmental center Centro Ecologica Akumal (CEA), you also have opportunities to various eco-tourism activities such as turtle monitoring.

In addition to the water sports and adventure parks, there are many culture activities, as our area has many Mayan ruins close by, the major ones being Coba, Tulum, Muyhuil, and Ek-Balam.

We truly are the center of a great vacation spot!
