Comfy, well equipped, great for one or two. Discreet/Confidential.

Modern apartment built from an old barn. With excellent facilities including very well equipped kitchen. Double bedroom, bathroom, sitting/dining room. Views of Malverns to the left (15 mins by car ) and Brecons to right (45 mins). Local walks nearby, downs a few minutes by car or bike. Many other recreations available, walking,cycling, Welsh mountains, birding, star gazing - almost no light pollution. Or just spend time peacefully by yourself, together... reading, writing or painting/drawing. We lived in the apartment for 3 months whilst the cottage was refurbed and it was superfine. Well - behaved dogs welcome. Garden is dog secure and we have our own friendly Lurcher. Just ring me if you want to know more please.

We moved here in 2014 and loved the house and apartment immediately. Stunning surroundings, sweet farming neighbours, fascinating rural life, but with a charming, eccentric town nearby. If you are prepared to put time in to explore locally or adventure a little further away - this is for you. Active people will love the walks, cycling, or hills and mountains - or if you want to write or paint you can do so in the peace. Ok, there is the occasional tractor, sheep bleating, lambs, cows, well - you know.

What makes this Apartment unique

The main house where we live is 17thC and the apartment is sympathetically attached. Beams, comfort, fine kitchen for keen cooks. Off-road parking, garden, wifi, TV/DVD - radios plus USB adaptors for iPhone/Pads. Printer access available on request. You can have as much or little tech as you want.

                                                              • Well, we lived in the apartment and enjoyed it very much. Discreet, quiet, rural yet within a short drive of nearby Bromyard. Brecons, Malverns within 45 and 15 minutes respectively. Lovely garden, great views and the apartment is comfortable and well-equipped.

                                                                We had a lovely two nights stay at Mike's cottage and really enjoyed ourselves.

                                                                We arrived to a lovely warm property stocked with basic provisions in the fridge and enough tea and coffee to keep us going over the weekend.

                                                                It was really nice to know that it would always be warm to come back to as all the power and heating was included as was the wifi.

                                                                Very clean and comfortable, lots of little extra ,bits in the kitchen and bathroom in case you forgot.

                                                                Fresh flowers, plenty of room a real gem, beautiful quite location totally unspoilt views. The host's were very plesant, and very generous with the welcome offers.

                                                                Mike met us on arrival and showed us around the annexe. It's fully equipped with lots of space.

                                                                There was also some welcome food and drinks, which was a really nice touch.

                                                                Much, the owners Lurcher, was very friendly and got on great with our dog.

                                                                The only slight downside was the bed. The mattress was uncomfortable and not really to our liking. However, we were only staying for three nights so not a deal breaker.

                                                                The location is nice and quiet and in easy reach of some great walks.

                                                                We didn't try the closest pub for food or drinks, so can't recommend that but we did try the Live and Let Live a few miles away.

                                                                Overall, a pleasant and peaceful stay.

                                                                We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in this cosy annex. Mike was friendly and helpful, and communication arranging the stay was excellent. The annex is very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. All the tech including wifi, TV and DVD player and DAB radio worked without any problems. Milke has even supplied a Bluetooth speaker so you can play music from your phone. The perfect quiet restful getaway.

                                                                Our stay was wonderful The owner thought of Everything Down to A torch and Pens, Books, DVDs etc. We had a wonderful Welcome pack of Wine and Beer with Breakfast Milk Tea Coffee etc which was a Nice surprise.                                                                 Malvern Hills District, Worcestershire, UK

                                                                Pound Cottage apartment is in beautiful, charming countryside. You can see the Malvern Hills in one direction and the Brecons in the other. If you want peace and quiet for your own work such as writing, art, it's here. For activities we have great cycling, walks, historic estates and nearby Hereford and Worcester. Superb for birds including raptors such as Buzzards, Peregrines, Kestrels plus many garden and field birds. Very little light pollution so star gazing is lovely on clear nights (bring your own telescope). Good shops and pubs in nearby Bromyard and villages, fine dining too. Worcester has excellent sports including county and test cricket as well as its lovely cathedral. Hereford cathedral has the Mappa Mundi. Hay on Wye is 50 minutes drive for a visit or the world famous festival. Cycling locally is fine with much of it on minor roads, or if you prefer, hill walking in the Malverns, mountains in the Brecons. It really is a hidden gem here, a tiny, quiet hamlet from which you can do as much or as little as you wish. We have an airport for recreational flying nearby and motor sports, especially vintage cars are well represented by Bromyard Speed Festival and informal events. I'm not going to bang on, it's lovely here and the apartment is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the surroundings delightful. If you prefer peace and quiet we have it in abundance, or, if you want to get out and about it's all here.
